Chapter 59,419 words79 min read

“Can you see me?”

“Who?”

Mio found herself in a blank space, but in front of her stood a child in strange clothes, with blue eyes and long silver-white hair, looking very gentle.

“Can you see me?”

Mio nodded.

“I can see you. Who are you?”

“I am the Holy King.”

Mio was startled.

“I’m the Holy King, okay?”

The girl smiled.

“Looks like you don’t believe it. But your friend Eve fixed a small portion of my soul into the Saint’s body, then merged it with your soul so you could use it.”

“How do you know that?”

“You and I share all senses—sight, hearing, touch, memory. Everything is shared.”

“Then why are you looking for me? And what is this place?”

“This is the mental space. Your body is asleep outside. I just wanted to have a chat and pulled you here with my thoughts.”

“You should be dead, right?”

“Did you forget? I’m the Spirit King. Only when one hundred percent of my soul is gone can I truly die. But your friend fixed seven percent of my soul into the Saint’s body. I can’t reincarnate or die—can’t do anything—just watch your life forever.”

“Serves you right. That’s what you get for messing around.”

“True. But your friend probably kept my soul around to use the Spirit King’s powers. Your sister also has a piece of my soul in her.”

“Why not use Ren’s?”

“I don’t know. Maybe her soul is already gone.”

“Maybe Eve has everything under control. Anyway, I’ll keep you company for a chat. You’re kinda pitiful.”

“Heh. Or else I’d be bored to death.”

“Why don’t you talk to Shizuku?”

“Sadly, I can only talk to you.”

“Then why not when I’m awake?”

“I didn’t want to bother you. But it’s hard only being able to watch these past few days.”

“You’re not thinking about coming back to life, are you?”

“I do want to. But for now, this is all I can do.”

“Want me to help you revive?”

“Really?”

Alexander’s tone changed.

“Don’t know, but I have conditions.”

“Say it.”

“The Spirit King’s power goes to me. You become my subordinate.”

“Fine. I don’t want to cause trouble anymore. I made mistakes before. I’ll make up for it.”

“Then if you really do come back, you’ll still be the Holy King, but in public, say you’re my will. Okay?”

“Deal.”

Suddenly, Eve appeared.

“You want to revive? Sure, I’ll prepare a body for you. But all powers will be those of an ordinary person.”

“No problem.”

“Then you need a new name.”

“Fine. How about changing just two characters?”

“That works.”

“Change the name from Alexander to Aria, okay?”

“That’s fine.”

“Little Eve, why are you here?”

“I was calling you and you wouldn’t wake up, so I came into your mental space to check.”

“I see. What time is it?”

“6:30.”

“Looks like I got called in at the wrong time.”

“Sorry about that.”

“Whatever. Hey Aria, when you fought with the gods before, did they have any weaknesses?”

“Yeah. Their divine power isn’t enough, and it uses too much energy.”

“Of course it does. You’re no small fry. But I want to ask—have you really shared all my memories?”

“Yes. And your world is super interesting.”

“Well, we can’t go back for now. But staying in this world as rulers isn’t bad. The gods glare at me with hostility, though, thanks to you.”

“You can punch me if you want.”

“No thanks. I’m not very violent.”

Eve looked at Aria and said,

“I remember you were emotionally cold. Why are you chatting so happily with Mio?”

“Because I’ve realized a lot of things. And with Mio’s memories, I feel different. Being revived as an ordinary person is fine—better than being dead.”

“Alright, but the body will take some time. And I’ll make some modifications, because I still don’t fully trust you.”

“That’s fine.”

“Little Eve, how do we get out of here?”

“Hold my hand.”

As soon as Mio grabbed her hand, she woke up.

“Whew, was that a dream?”

“Nope.”

Mio turned to see Eve staring at her.

“Little Eve, you don’t trust Aria?”

“Just teasing. She probably figured it out, though. Making her a body is no problem. Her soul is fine too, but…”

“But what?”

“Forgot.”

“Oh my god… [covers face]”

“Enough talking. Get dressed. We’re moving to the castle. We’ll use the wormhole.”

“Okay. But who’s sending tribute?”

“Former citizens maybe. Or my subordinates could do it.”

“Probably food, right?”

“Live offerings could work too.”

“Let’s skip that one.”

Knock knock knock — someone was at the door.

“Come in!”

It was Mireya.

“Mireya, what’s up?”

“My lady, I have something to report.”

“Go ahead.”

“Lady Shizuku said she’d like to take a walk with you by the castle lake this afternoon, just the two of you.”

“Got it. What’s Shizuku doing now?”

“She took Restia and Est with her. Luminarias said she’s off looking for her old subordinates.”

“So that just leaves you, Yugudra, and the Akame sisters here?”

“Yes.”

“Alright, you’re dismissed.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

“Shizuku probably wants to spend some time with me.”

“Sounds like it.”

“That’s good. But Eve, can we choose how Aria will look?”

“Sure. Want her to look like you?”

“No, I want her to look like a girl named Watson from Aria the Scarlet Ammo.”

“Elle Watson! Got it.”

“Also, let’s name our underground organization Iyu. I’ve already got some candidates in mind.”

“Understood. Now hurry and change. Let’s grab breakfast.”

“Okay.”

Meanwhile, with Shizuku:

“Restia, Est, today we’re going to our own country. From now on, we’ll live in big houses. Be nice to your sister.”

“Yes, Mother.”

“Me too. Sis, let’s do our best for our master.”

“Mm-hmm.”

“Restia, you’ll be contracted to me. My sister will borrow you sometimes too.”

“No problem, Mother.”

“Also, you have another sister.”

“Where is she?”

“With her master. I created her thousands of years ago, before I died. After I was revived, I had amnesia. I don’t remember much, but she and her master get along well.”

“Then Mother, what’s her name?”

“Her name is Restia Ashdor, and you are Restia Ashdor too. She’s ‘Ti’, and you’re ‘Tia’.”

“Tia… Tia… I got it!”

“Anyway, you’ll meet her one day.”

“Okay.”

“Let’s head back. We’re moving today.”

“Alright.”

By 9 a.m., everyone was gathered. Eve transported them via wormhole to the castle. Once there, everyone was shocked.

“Wow, this is amazing!”

Eve clapped her hands and said,

“Rooms are assigned—one per person—with names on the doors. Let me introduce the floors:
1st floor – Palace,
2nd floor – Kitchen,
3rd floor – Bathrooms,
4th floor – Large bathhouse and showers (big enough for 28 people),
5th floor – Conference room,
6th floor – Entertainment room,
7th floor – Storage,
8th floor – Your rooms,
9th floor – Four rooms (mine, Mio’s, Shizuku’s, and a special someone),
10th floor – Rooftop. Great for sky-gazing.”

Mireya raised a question.

“My lords, what should we call you? You said Spirit King names and human names are both fine, but I feel it’s a bit disrespectful.”

Mio sighed.

“Ugh, I don’t really care. Shizuku and I plan to live with both identities. You can just call me Mio, with or without ‘my lady’—up to you.”

“Same for me—Ren or Shizuku is fine.”

“Understood.”

“Wait… this feeling!”

Eve’s expression changed.

“What is it, Little Eve?”

“Several strong power levels just entered our country!”

“How do you know?”

“I set a magic scanner at the border. If someone surpasses human limits, it alerts me mentally. Oh, I have something for you.”

Eve created a box. Mio and Shizuku instantly recognized it.

Both: “Scouter!”

“This is my new battle power detector—lightweight, portable, no overload, and works for real-time communication. It shows your opponent’s location, power level, and distance.”

Eve looked at Mireya and placed one on her ear.

“Mireya, your relaxed power level is 358. That’s pretty good.”

“Thank you for the praise!”

“Everyone take one. They’ll help in battle. Now Mio, Shizuku—let’s fly over and meet those powerful people.”

Both: “Okay!”

Meanwhile, with the gods:

“Hey Spirit Kings, how did Alexander turn that massive wasteland into a country overnight?”

Isaria pondered.

(That’s impossible… Even when we were together, neither Alexander nor Ren could pull that off in a day.)

All four Spirit Kings: “No idea.”

Cleia tugged on Rubia’s hand.

“Sis, I think it was that blonde girl.”

“Why?”

“Just a gut feeling.”

But the journey there would still take some time, so the gods kept complaining.

“If I had known, I would have called for a carriage. Restia, could you fly up and see how far it is?”

“No problem.”

Restia sprouted wings and flew 500 meters into the sky to take a look.

“Sigh… it’s still so far. We probably can’t walk there in six hours. Hm?”

Restia noticed something flying from the direction of the castle.

“This feeling!”

Restia quickly flew back down.

“Shinjin, Alexander and my mother are flying this way.”

“Are they here to fight?”

“Who knows.”

After a while, three people arrived by flight, and everyone noticed they had devices on their faces. Mio stepped forward and pressed a button on one.

“Kazehaya Shinjin: 299. Rubia: 264. Clea: 256. Restia: 700. Est: 666. Volcanic: 4036. Beval: 4025. Rod: 4005. Isaria: 4001. These are normal values. In battle, they’d probably far exceed this.”

Shizuku stepped to the front.

“Welcome to the Divine Yuest Federation.”

“Mother!”

“Restia, isn’t the country your sister and I built pretty nice?”

“It is nice. But Mother, what’s that on your face?”

“A power level detector. It’s lightweight, easy to carry, allows real-time communication, shows enemy location and power level, and distance. Just tested it—you all scored really well.”

“Hey, Kazehaya Shinjin, do you train regularly? Your power level is only 299. Mireia’s relaxed state is 358. She’s stronger than your normal state.”

“Well… After I defeated you, I slacked off a bit, but I still train occasionally for the Sword Dance competition.”

“Good luck then. I’m skipping this tournament, but in the one after the next one, Shizuku and I will participate as humans. We won’t hold back like last time.”

Volcanic was a bit annoyed.

“Alexander, if you two join the tournament, won’t it be boring? What about the other contestants?”

Shizuku smiled.

“Volcanic, we’ll just spectate. Once your team beats everyone, we’ll jump in. Aiko, next time you’ll face two kings at once.”

“Please go easy on me, Dark Queen.”

“Sure, as long as I don’t use my dark powers.”

Eve patted Mio and Shizuku on the shoulder.

“That’s enough chatting. Let them explore the capital.”

Both: “Yes!”

Eve created a wormhole. Shizuku turned to Shinjin.

“Follow us.”

Shinjin looked at the others. All the Spirit Kings nodded.

“Alright.”

Everyone walked into the wormhole and emerged outside in another space. Shinjin looked around.

“Where is this?”

“New Alexandria City. Shizuku and I built it. It’s our capital.”

“So many types of buildings.”

Rod looked at a giant castle in the distance and asked Mio:

“You live in that castle, right?”

“Yeah. When we’re not home, Mireia and the others take care of it.”

“Mireia…”

Rubia frowned slightly. Clea was curious.

“Sis…?”

Mio glanced at Rubia.

“Rubia, Mireia lost her memories a long time ago. She’s human now. Don’t seek revenge.”

“You’re overthinking it. I’m not that kind of person.”

“I made a mistake back then. I’ve already learned my lesson.”

Eve clapped her hands in the middle of the group.

“Everyone, don’t bring up the past anymore. That includes you, Mio.”

Both: “Understood.”

But all the Spirit Kings noticed that Alexander and Ren followed the golden-haired girl’s words unquestioningly. Volcanic stepped forward.

“Hey, blonde girl, who are you?”

“I’m known as Golden Shadow. My real name is Eve. These two are my subordinates. Or rather, we are comrades. I’m also their subordinate in a way.”

Shizuku smiled.

“We call it comradeship. Our beliefs have changed from yours.”

Mio also chimed in.

“We’re starting a new era.”

“A new era?”

“A true era of peace. Kazehaya Shinjin, polygamy will be legal across the nation. You can marry all those girls.”

Shinjin blushed immediately.

“What are you saying!?”

“I’m a Spirit King. Human laws are nothing to me. If I want to change them, I can. Right, Shizuku?”

“Yeah, now that the war is over.”

Eve pointed at a sushi restaurant and called everyone inside.

“Little Tower, prep the sushi. I’m treating everyone.”

“Yes, Lady Eve.”

“Hey, Alexander, what kind of place is this?”

Rod asked with cute, curious eyes.

“A sushi restaurant. A specialty of this city. The food is called sushi.”

“What’s sushi?”

“It’s made from rice, vinegar, seafood, and sushi vinegar. It took me over a thousand years to come up with.”

“Interesting. The food offered in my capital used to be called something like Sha County Horse Noodles.”

“Sha County Horse? Never heard of it.”

“Let’s try it together next time.”

“Sure.”

20 minutes later.

“Thanks for waiting. Here’s the sushi combo for everyone.”

“Sushi combo?”

“Each type of sushi, two pieces each.”

Shinjin picked up a piece with chopsticks and took a bite.

“Mmm, not bad. First time tasting this flavor!”

Clea and everyone else started eating too, and they all found it delicious.

Mio looked at the other Spirit Kings and called out:

“Volcanic, Beval, Rod, Isaria—I’ll bring the recipe over in a few days. Let your chefs spread the taste.”

All four: “Got it!”

Isaria smiled brightly.

“It’s been thousands of years since the six of us sat down for a meal together.”

“Yeah, now that all battles are over.”

“No!”

Mio’s sudden outburst startled everyone. Volcanic was curious.

“Why not?”

“I may live a peaceful life now, but can you really guarantee that humans won’t stir up trouble?”

“What do you mean?”

“I used to wonder if humans were worth protecting. Over the years, I’ve witnessed countless human activities—prosperity, conflict, extinction—all repeating endlessly. To me, it’s utter foolishness.”

Shinjin shook his head.

“That’s just how things are.”

“Maybe I shouldn’t have opened the interdimensional gate. Maybe I should’ve initiated Human Zero Protocol instead.”

“Don’t joke around.”

Shizuku was visibly upset. She thought, Why’s she talking like Zamasu?

“I’ve reached a level far beyond you. This world, this universe, the truth of all things lies before my eyes. And I’ve concluded: humanity should be destroyed. Of all God’s creations, the one flaw… is humanity. They must be eliminated so that God can fix His mistake.”

“You plan to destroy humanity?”

Rubia asked, and Mio burst into laughter.

“Just a cool line. I don’t really want to destroy humanity. But if it’s about Kazehaya Shinjin, then yeah—I’m angry at how humanity defiles the universe, at how God lets it happen, at how I lost to such arrogant humans and couldn’t do anything about it.”

Shinjin was speechless.

“You’re a Spirit King, not a god.”

“The world is beautiful. But humans taint that beauty. So we must purge them, restore the world’s purity. Wisdom was a divine gift, yet humans use it for selfish gain and greed. Such stupidity and savagery. Wisdom is sacred, but humans sullied it. After gaining wisdom, they became evil. If you won’t eliminate evil, how can you call yourself a god?”

Eve was even more speechless.

“Enough with the human talk. If that country causes trouble, just destroy it—joking, of course.

“Alright.”

Suddenly, Mio, Shizuku, and Eve’s detectors showed a power level of 2299 approaching fast—1.9 km away.

“Who?”

“Doesn’t seem like one of ours.”

Eve stood up.

“This feeling! Could it be him? Mio, Shizuku, let’s go out.”

Both: “Okay!”

Volcanic looked at Eve.

“What’s going on?”

“Could be my enemy… or an old friend. But if it’s an enemy, even the Holy and Dark Kings aren’t strong enough yet.”

“Want us to help?”

“No need.”

The three ran out of the shop and flew toward the unknown figure.

“Little Dark, our machines show we’ll make contact in 20 seconds.”

“I know. If they’re too strong, you two run.”

“Don’t say dumb stuff—we’ll run together.”

“You two sisters, honestly… Anyway, they’re probably not even after you.”

Moments later, they met mid-air. Eve sighed in relief.

Mio, seeing the man in the black coat, was a bit scared, but he spoke first.

“Eve, it’s been a long time.”

“You too, Uncle Zongya.”

“Little Dark, who is he?”

“He’s Kazemoon Zongya, a former captain in my mother’s army.”

“Eve, are these your friends?”

“No. I’m their subordinate. These two are Spirit Kings, two of the six world rulers. The one on the left is the Holy King, the right one the Dark King.”

“I see. It’s an honor to meet you both.”

“Likewise.”

“Great.”

“By the way, Uncle, what brings you here? I remember Uncle Yue said you went to the Dragon Country when I founded the nation.”

“I got a job. A big restaurant chain in the Dragon Country plans to open dozens of Mapo Tofu branches. I was sent to scout for crowded cities. I sensed your energy and dropped by.”

“Sounds good. Got enough funding?”

“No worries there.”

Shizuku had an idea.

“Mister, how about opening a branch in our country too? Our city’s growing fast.”

“If a Spirit King says so, the boss will be thrilled.”

“Then report back.”

“Alright. Well, I’ll be off. I was just passing by while you were dining with friends.”

“Take care, Uncle.”

Eve opened a wormhole. The three entered. Outside, Mio was startled to see all the food piled on the plates.

“Wow, so much food!”

Shinjin smiled awkwardly.

“We only ate a few plates. The rest were for the Spirit Kings.”

Volcanic glared at Shinjin with mild annoyance.

“Not allowed?”

“That’s not true.”

“Hehe.”

“Ren, what are you laughing at?”

“Now that the Elf Kings have graced this shop, business will surely boom.”

“Exactly.”

“By the way, Vulcanic, you used to refer to yourself as ‘I, the solitary one’—why the change?”

“Because I’ve made friends.”

Mio moved next to Est and watched her eat, thinking she looked adorable.

“Est, you and Restia don’t eat nearly as much as the other kings.”

“I’m full.”

“Me too.”

“Unfortunately, I’m still in a human body. No matter how strong I get, my appetite remains average.”

Eve walked up behind Mio and placed her hands on Mio’s shoulders.

“Why not give up the Saint’s body and go back to your original one?”

“No way. Centuries ago, someone tried to use a trap to kill me. I eliminated them instantly. Humans, because they’re smart, never give up.”

“There she goes again.”

“Sorry.”

“From now on, try to get along with everyone and don’t cause trouble.”

“Yes!”

Mio used telepathy.

(You meant that for Little Ya, right?)

(Yeah. I mean, you two share the same body anyway.)

(We need to split up soon. No privacy like this.)

(Don’t worry. Though her body is part human and part god and fully capable, her strength is only 156. What do you think?)

(Sure. What’s the average combat power of a regular human?)

(Let’s say… Dragon Ball 5.)

(That’s weak.)

(You were even weaker in your past life, okay?)

“Hey, Alexander.”

A divine being suddenly called out to him.

“What?”

“Where were you earlier?”

“Nowhere special. A friend of a friend opened a restaurant in my country.”

“I see.”

“But you really remind me of someone.”

“Who?”

“Kinji Tohyama.”

“I think I’ve heard that name once before.”

“Still, ‘Kazehaya’ is such an unusual surname. I’ve never heard it from anyone else.”

“Maybe it’s a countryside name.”

“Maybe. But be careful. That red-haired boy who got the Demon King’s mask might come after you.”

“No worries. I’ve already erased his memories of the divine being.”

Restia said casually, completely unconcerned.

“Good job, Restia.”

Shizuku looked quite pleased.

“Mother.”

“By the way, how about we all go tour the castle together later?”

“Sounds good.”

Lord Rod spoke up first, and the other Elf Kings all agreed.

Mio walked over to Rubia and spoke respectfully.

“Rubia, will you be participating in this Sword Dance tournament?”

“Yes, I will.”

“Then I’ve decided something. Whether you win or lose, I’m going to improve your constitution. I know you’ve had health issues since childhood.”

“Why though?”

“Is that bad? I also plan to grant eternal youth to humanity so they can live up to 3,000 years. All I need is the power of miracles.”

“I see. If possible, could you do me a favor?”

“Sure.”

“Come closer. Let me whisper it.”

“Okay.”

Mio leaned in, and Rubia whispered something to her.

“How’s that?”

“No problem.”

Claire grew curious.

“Big sis, what did you say?”

“You’ll find out in time.”

Mio smiled.

“To gain someone’s trust, you must first trust others. If you can’t even do that, how could trust ever exist?”

“Alexander’s right. What I’m asking you should be a piece of cake.”

“Don’t worry. I guarantee it with everything I have as an Elf King.”

Shizuku wondered to herself why her sister would pledge everything as an Elf King. Weren’t they originally human? But now, it was true—they were Elf Kings.

After a while, all the Elf Kings finished eating. Eve led everyone out onto the street toward the castle. Although they could’ve just used a wormhole, the other Elf Kings were curious and decided to walk and explore along the way.

“Divine being!”

“Alexander, why are you calling me divine being now too?”

“I like you. If not for you, I’d still be making the same mistakes.”

“Well… peace and survival aren’t so bad.”

“Yeah. If I’d known, I would’ve surrendered long ago. Then I wouldn’t be this weak now.”

“So you really can’t die?”

“Of course not. I cast a spell when I was alive—like your dark elf resurrection. I’ve done the same now.”

“Good thing we’re not enemies anymore. That would’ve been a real problem.”

“I won’t make mistakes again. Now, I just want peace to last forever.”

“That’s a good mindset.”

As they walked, Isaria noticed a strange-looking building.

“Hey, what’s this building for?”

“It says on the sign.”

“I can’t read it.”

“It’s in English. It says ‘Heavenly Dragon Milk Tea.'”

“Heavenly Dragon Milk Tea? You drink it?”

“Yep, it’s super tasty.”

“I want one!”

“Me too!”

“Me three!”

“Same here!”

“Alright, I’ll go with Little Darkness to get them. One cup per person.”

After a while, Mio and Eve came out of the shop and handed everyone a cup of milk tea.

“Here, Claire.”

“Thanks!”

Isaria took a sip through her straw and her eyes lit up.

“Wow! I’ve never had anything so delicious!”

Seeing her like that, Mio laughed.

“Hehe, Isaria. There are lots more tasty things. Take your time to enjoy them.”

“Of course!”

“You’re like little kids. I wonder if I’ll be a better parent someday. [Just kidding]”

“What! You’re going to have kids!?”

Claire couldn’t help but shout.

“Don’t forget, I have a human body. I can still give birth.”

“Who do you plan to be with?”

“Ah… we’ll see. I’ll hide my Elf King identity or I’ll never get married.”

Shizuku found that amusing, knowing Mio enjoyed such jokes.

“When you say that, it makes me want to get married too. A half-human, half-Elf King child would definitely be amazing.”

“You two are impossible.”

The divine being was a bit speechless but got stared down by Mio and Shizuku.

Mio & Shizuku: Stare!

“Stare!”

Even Eve stared at him.

“Hey! Why are you all staring at him?”

Claire was a little annoyed, while Mio seemed pleased.

“I like that expression.”

Est suddenly tugged on Mio’s sleeve.

“What’s up?”

“I feel like you’re not the same Alexander I fought before.”

“Really? I just want a peaceful life now.”

“Now that you say that, I feel the same.”

“So, you mean the one who opened the interworld gate was me, and the one who wants peace isn’t?”

“Probably.”

“Fair point. I used to be your enemy, so this peace talk must be strange for you.”

Beval walked up to Mio with a happy face.

“You controlled us for so long, and yet you enjoyed life while we didn’t. That’s not fair.”

“Sorry! I’ll share good things with everyone from now on. Let’s not bring up the past—it’s all bad memories.”

“True. We really should’ve tried talking to you back then. Maybe none of us would’ve suffered.”

The divine being wanted to say, “It wouldn’t have worked anyway,” but kept quiet.

“Divine being, are you still living at the Spirit Academy?”

“Yeah. Why?”

“Visit your own country once in a while.”

“Sure. Maybe later.”

“Topic switch!”

Eve snapped her fingers and put her hands on her hips.

“Let’s just use a wormhole and get to the castle already.”

Mio and Shizuku nodded.

Eve created a wormhole, and everyone went in together.

Once outside, Claire was stunned.

“So… so big!”

Eve took the lead like a commander.

“Everyone, follow me. We’ll head to the palace first.”

When they got to the palace, the other Elf Kings were all shocked. Vulcanic closed his eyes to sense the place.

It was filled with a mysterious and warm energy—nothing negative at all.

The others also felt it and looked relieved. Restia and Est both felt cozy, but the divine being and others just thought the place was ridiculously fancy.

“Divine being, the floor is all crystal, the pillars are pure silver, and the four thrones above seem to be made of gold.”

“Yeah. I guess the Elf Kings aren’t short on money.”

But Rubia noticed something.

“Why are there four thrones?”

“That’s a secret. But don’t worry—it’s not a bad thing.”

“Still feels weird.”

Suddenly, black feathers fell from the sky. The appearance of Restitia startled the divine being. She looked at Shizuku.

“Mother, welcome back.”

She then noticed someone beside her and ran over.

“You’re my sister Restia, the one mother told me about, right?”

“Yes, and you are?”

“My name is Restitia Ashudol. You’re ‘Res,’ I’m ‘Tia.'”

“Nice to meet you, little sister.”

“Same here, big sister.”

The divine being leaned in for a look.

“They’re exactly the same.”

“Sis, who is he?”

“He’s Kazehaya Shinjin—my contract partner.”

“I see.”

“Then who’s your contract partner, little sister?”

“My partner is Shizuku, also known as Ren.”

Restitia then leaned in and whispered quietly to Restia.

“Be careful, little sister. She’s a bad… ah!”

Shizuku knocked Restia on the head.

“Restia, haven’t I taught you before not to speak ill of others?”

“Sorry, Mother.”

“As long as you know you’re wrong. Besides, it was Mio who brought me back to life. I won’t allow anyone, even my own daughter, to disrespect her.”

“Alright, alright. I was just joking.”

Mio felt helpless. After all, in her original world, when someone talked badly about her, Shizuku would immediately get physical. Once, she almost crippled someone. Now with this power, she hoped things wouldn’t spiral out of control.

“Okay.”

“Phew.”

Restia let out a sigh of relief. Kamihito smiled wryly beside her.

“Restia, are you alright?”

“I’m fine, Kamihito. Don’t worry.”

Shizuku began to speak again.

“Since I was revived, I’ve noticed your friends looking at Mio with hateful eyes. That’s extremely disrespectful to the Spirit King.”

“Well… it might take some time to adjust.”

“That’s good. But if your friends try any dirty tricks or sneak attacks, they better watch out…”

A purple-black thunderball formed in Shizuku’s hand.

“I’ll let them try this!”

“Don’t worry.”

Rōd looked at the thunderball in Shizuku’s hand and then walked over to examine it.

“Ren, this move is way too dangerous.”

“I was just trying to scare them. If they mess around, I’ll just kick their butts.”

“You’re starting to act more and more like a human.”

“I like humans. But if they’re disrespectful, that’s another story.”

“But I must say, this is kind of interesting.”

“Well then, everyone, come with me to the recreation room on the sixth floor. There’ll be snacks in a bit.”

The other Spirit Kings immediately surrounded Eve when they heard her mention snacks.

“What kind of snacks?”

“A lot! They’re all local specialties that only exist in our country. Eat as much as you like.”

Shizuku smiled when she heard that, feeling they were just like children.

At that moment, Eve pressed a small button beside the detector. A few seconds later, Mireya’s voice came through.

“Hello.”

“It’s me, Eve. Mireya, you and Yugudora go to the storage room and bring more food to the recreation room on the sixth floor. Four Spirit Kings and Kamihito are visiting.”

“Okay. But Lady Eve, Kurotō went ahead and took a few bags of snacks labeled ‘Lay’s’.”

“Eat whatever you like. Oh, bring a big bottle of cola and put it on the table in the recreation room. Wash the cups too.”

“Understood.”

After hanging up, Eve walked to the stairs and snapped her fingers.

“Everyone, come with me.”

Everyone followed Eve. Rubia walked beside her and asked:

“Hey, did Mireya really lose her memory?”

“Yes. I hope you don’t agitate her too much. I want her and Yugudora to become friends with you all. Even though she’s lost her memory now, if she regains it in the future and you’re already friends, over time she’ll naturally accept you.”

“Good idea. Sounds like something Kamihito would plan.”

“More like Kinji Tōyama, actually.”

“Kinji Tōyama?”

“A man who looks a lot like Kamihito. He lives in another world.”

“Another world?”

“There are billions of alternate worlds. Only I can go there freely.”

“That’s amazing.”

“But not all of them. My power is unique to the Holy Dark King.”

“Why’s that?”

“When I was a child, I was chased by bad people. The Holy King saved my life.”

“I see. And then?”

“When I grew up and discovered this power, the Holy King told me to learn from the other worlds. When I returned, he said something, but… I forgot.”

Eve knew in her heart that continuing the story would lead to inconsistencies.

“Forget it then. Last time I heard Kamihito say she was revived, it nearly scared everyone to death.”

“Understandable, considering she was once the number one enemy.”

Everyone arrived at the recreation room. Kamihito saw two unfamiliar girls helping Mireya and Yugudora set the table.

“Alexandra, who are they?”

“Kurotō and Akatō. My new subordinates.”

Eve walked over and took a look.

“Hmm, all the food is here. Good work. You can go upstairs now.”

Everyone responded with a cheerful “Okay.” When Mireya passed by Rubia, Rubia called out to her.

“Mireya.”

Mireya turned her head, looking at Rubia curiously.

“What is it?”

“Nothing. Um… do you know me?”

“This is our first time meeting, right? Though you feel kind of familiar… Maybe I’m just tired and imagining things.”

“Maybe.”

“What’s your name?”

“Rubia Airstein!”

“Rubia…”

Mireya held her head for a moment.

“That’s weird, I suddenly got a headache.”

“Maybe you just need some rest.”

“Yeah. Well, I’m heading upstairs with my companions.”

“Okay.”

At that moment, the Spirit Kings were gathered around the snacks on the table. Eve opened the packages and handed one to each of them. Cola was also poured into cups, but Shizuku used her telekinesis to make a bag of chocolates fly into her hand, and she started eating.

Mio watched Shizuku eat and then looked over at Kamihito beside her.

“Kamihito, aren’t you going to eat?”

“I already ate earlier.”

“Humans eat so little. But I have a human stomach too.”

Claire walked over to Mio, still puzzled by what happened earlier.

“Alexandra, what was my sister talking to you about earlier?”

Mio exchanged glances with Rubia, who gave a subtle nod.

“Some children from the Academy have lost contact with their families or were rejected by them. My city is offering housing for the homeless, so I’m arranging for those kids to live there.”

“Is it free?”

“Of course. But once a house is chosen, it can’t be changed—to avoid trouble.”

“Can they pick the house themselves?”

“Yes.”

Suddenly, Mio remembered something important and walked over to the other Spirit Kings.

“Hey, hey, can you help out with the prisons?”

Isalia put down her food and asked:

“Help with what?”

“Release all my subordinates. Each of your regions has some of them imprisoned.”

“Alright.”

The other Spirit Kings nodded as well.

“Great! If you didn’t agree, I was going to blow up the prisons.”

“Huh!?”

“Isalia, don’t make such a fuss. They’re my subordinates. As their master, I can’t abandon them.”

“You used to be indifferent and cold. But now you’ve completely changed.”

“Yeah.”

Even Rōd couldn’t help but comment, while Volcanoa tugged at Mio’s hand.

“Alexandra, are you still going to be our alliance leader?”

“Why do you ask?”

“Because we all unanimously recommended you when we came to this world. Now that peace has come, do you still want the role?”

Mio didn’t answer.

“Not saying?”

“Maybe later. I’m too busy to deal with that now.”

At that very moment, in the original world, a certain girl was searching for Shizuku.

“Where could Shizuku have gone? She’s been missing for days. Even the police have no leads.”

The girl sighed.

“Did she isolate herself after our sister’s death? Or something else… I really hope she didn’t do anything drastic.”

“Achoo!”

Shizuku suddenly sneezed.

Mio walked over to check on her.

“You okay?”

“Yeah. Maybe someone’s talking bad about me.”

“Could be. But they all seem to be enjoying the snacks. It reminds me of my childhood.”

“Yeah.”

At that moment, Eve conjured a huge pile of food. After preparing it, she walked up to Kamihito.

“Kamihito, can you place your palm against mine?”

“Why?”

“For Ren’s sake.”

“Alright.”

Kamihito extended his hand, and Eve pressed hers against it. Claire had no idea what Eve was doing. Then Eve’s hand emitted a soft glow.

“All done. Shizuku, come here.”

“Okay.”

Next, Eve placed her hand on Shizuku’s head.

“What are you doing?”

“It’s a secret.”

But through telepathy, Eve conveyed a message to Mio and Shizuku.

(“I’ve revived Alexandra and Ren Ashdoll.”)

(“But didn’t you say her soul was gone?”)

(“Kamihito still carries her dark power. I’ve transferred it to Shizuku now. Just like with Alexandra, you’ll share memories before being split.”)

(“What about the body?”)

Mio asked, and Shizuku was also curious.

(“Don’t worry, it’s a small matter for me.”)

(“As expected of a god.”)

(“Half-god, actually.”)

“Hey, that Eve girl.”

Beval suddenly called out to Eve.

“What is it?”

“You remind me of an old friend.”

“You mean someone who looked like me?”

“Exactly. It was 495 years ago. She was assassinated on her 22nd birthday.”

“Assassinated?”

“Yeah. I was devastated. I killed her murderer in revenge. Her grave is still in the West River region of my capital. I built it myself.”

“What was her name?”

“She was called Xisha. No surname. But she was an exceptional shrine maiden and truly wanted to be my friend.”

“Humans are annoying.”

Mio said unintentionally, though it was the truth.

At that moment, rain began to fall outside. Eve snapped her fingers, and the windows closed.

“It’s raining. Looks like we’re not going anywhere.”

Kamihito looked outside.

“Sigh, if it gets heavier, we won’t make it back.”

“Let Little Dark use a black hole to send you all home.”

Mio gave an evil grin.

“You’re kind of scary, you know that?”

“Sorry to make you laugh, but I still feel a bit uneasy inside.”

“What’s wrong?”

“Can Yggdrasil and the Twelve Generals still make up? Also, I still have to be careful of some people trying to assassinate me.”

“Well, it’s your own doing after all.”

“Anyway, I’ve changed. Helping humanity properly is what really matters.”

“It’ll probably take some time.”

“Nothing we can do but go with it.”

“Aiko, you have an adopted younger sister named Miu, right?”

“Yeah.”

“I heard Miu is really cute. I want to hug her.”

“Um…”

The Divine One didn’t know how to respond, but Restia interjected.

“Mother, you sound just like a student.”

“Do I?”

“You do, Alexander too.”

The Divine One, Claire, and Rubia also felt like they had been speaking like students ever since they met.

“Restia, we look like humans. Imitating them and learning like this is super fun.”

“But Alexander is doing it too.”

“Change the subject.”

Eve said this coldly, and Restia followed her lead.

“Alright then.”

“Sis.”

“What is it, Restia?”

“Just how strong is your master?”

“Pretty strong. The Divine One’s swordsmanship is amazing.”

“But in my opinion, if it’s a one-on-one with Mio, he’s nowhere near her level. He only won in the past because of our mother’s dark power.”

“Still, Alexander is the strongest Spirit King. Back then, the Divine One, Est, and I barely managed to beat her.”

“Est? You mean your younger sister?”

Est didn’t look pleased hearing that.

“She’s my elder sister. What about you?”

“Est and I just call each other by name. We don’t bother with who’s older or younger.”

“That’s nice. But remember to show respect—after all, she was born before you.”

“Okay.”

“Miss Sacred Sword, you don’t need to mind my sister anymore.”

“That won’t do. She’s my true form.”

Est looked at Mio.

“Where is my real body?”

“Upstairs doing who-knows-what. Just call me Mio. Your body does too.”

“Alright, Mio.”

Claire felt that Alexander’s personality change was definitely suspicious, but she couldn’t figure out why.

“It’s about time.”

Eve suddenly said that, startling the Divine One.

“Time for what?”

“Someone’s coming.”

“How do you know?”

“Just a feeling.”

At that moment, the door opened. A dripping-wet black-haired girl was standing there.

Mio and Shizuku looked at her, but they didn’t recognize her. Eve walked over and patted her head.

“My Lady, everyone has been found.”

“Nice work, Yukiya.”

“Hey, who is she?”

“My direct subordinate, Yukiya. I had her secretly helping Luminaria. She’s now found all the members of the Holy Spirit Knights, so we can call them back.”

“Hello, Sirs. I’m Yukiya.”

“Hello.”

“Good job.”

The four Spirit Kings around the table weren’t unhappy, but why did she only greet Alexander and Ren?

Beval walked over to take a look.

“Little girl, it’s raining heavily outside, right?”

“Yeah, but for the mission, this kind of rain is nothing. Also, are you a friend of the Lords?”

“Yes, I’m Beval.”

“Beval sounds like a boy’s name.”

“It is. I just came up with it randomly back then.”

“Hey, Yukiya, go take a bath upstairs. The big bath is on the 4th floor. We’ll bring you clothes later.”

“Yes, Lady Mio.”

After Yukiya left, Mio asked Eve how she knew her name. Eve said her subordinates in this castle had photos and names of everyone, including the Spirit Kings.

Beval chuckled upon hearing this.

“Ordinary people aren’t supposed to even see a Spirit King. The Divine One and the others are special cases.”

Eve smiled as she replied.

“That’s you guys. The Holy Dark King has a different mindset. Besides, most people don’t even know what you look like. Giving names just helps them move around more easily.”

“Hehe, sounds fun.”

“This isn’t for fun. Right now, Alexander is severely weakened, and so is Ren. Their human names are also necessary to protect them.”

“True. It’s not like you can use your Spirit King names in a tournament.”

“Actually, you can.”

Mio suddenly said.

“Why? Won’t it scare off some contestants?”

“Doesn’t matter. But we do need to change a few things about the tournament. Volcanic, Divine One, Rubia—you all listen too.”

“Alright.”

“The tournament will no longer be limited to Spirit Elementalists. Anyone who’s good with a sword can participate, man or woman. The main thing is that the audience enjoys it. Also, no killing or maiming—that rule stays. Otherwise, it’ll turn into a bloodbath. The number of participants will be raised to 12, and we can include foreigners.”

Shizuku snapped her fingers and added,

“Also, we’ll be holding another competition.”

“What kind of competition?”

“A Strength Tournament.”

The Divine One was curious.

“What’s the Strength Tournament?”

“I’ll explain. The arena will be built on a floating island. The rule is simple: knock your opponent off the platform to win. If someone falls down unconscious, just toss them off. Easy, right? Now, here are the rules. First: Only martial arts—no weapons allowed. Second: No killing. Match time is 100 Tacks.”

Everyone present was intrigued. Rubia asked,

“How long is 100 Tacks?”

“48 minutes!”

“48 minutes?! That’s a really long match. Who knows how long all the matches will take?”

“Don’t worry. It’s a battle royale. Only one match.”

“The platform…?”

“Don’t worry, it’ll be built big enough. All participants will fight within the time limit. The team with the most people left standing wins. If only one person remains from different teams, then that person just has to defeat the others.”

“What about the prize?”

“The Spirit Kings will grant a wish—but only a small one.”

The Divine One sighed.

“Sigh… How do we fight without weapons? Claire and the others aren’t trained in hand-to-hand combat. Leora is a different story though.”

All the Spirit Kings nodded in agreement. Rod was excited.

“When will it be held?”

“In six and a half years. My sister and I will also participate. You guys can join or not—your choice.”

“I’ll give it a try when the time comes.”

Mio chuckled confidently.

“Heh, Divine One, I look forward to fighting you again.”

“Me too, I suppose.”

“Not sure how many teams will join, but up to 1000 people can enter. That kind of chaos is gonna be amazing.”

“1000 people?! Oh my god.”

Claire was especially shocked.

“The question is whether there’ll even be that many.”

“True. So, Divine One, will you enter?”

“Yeah, it’s a good chance to train my combat skills.”

Mio thought to herself,

(Back in our original world, I already knew martial arts. This will be a good way to spar with the people of this world. Though it’s six and a half years away, that’s just the estimate. Implementation depends on the circumstances.)

Rubia still felt something was off.

“You guys aren’t joining this year’s Blade Dance Festival, but won’t the next Blade Dance Festival clash with your Strength Tournament?”

“No. If needed, the Blade Dance Festival can be postponed a year.”

Rod tilted his head.

“Alexander, Ren, you said it’s mainly for fun, right?”

Mio nodded lightly.

“Yes, not just to please us Spirit Kings, but also for the humans and other spirits.”

At this moment, Eve was thinking the 48-minute battle would be intense, so preparations must be thorough.

Isaria looked at Mio and Shizuku’s eyes.

“You two really look like humans.”

Mio and Shizuku didn’t quite understand what she meant.

“You’re becoming more and more like humans.”

“My body is human.”

“I just love humans. I’m only imitating them.”

“Same here. I love humans too—especially Linselette.”

“I like Rubia.”

Volcanic said the same thing.

“Strong warriors! Come challenge this King!”

“Alexander, we haven’t even started yet.”

“Just being dramatic. I’ve got one more line.”

“Stare…”

Shizuku and Eve stared at Mio.

“Okay, I’ll stop.”

Meanwhile, in Mio’s mind space, Alexander thought Mio was particularly interesting and hoped to act soon. But suddenly, a voice called out.

“Long time no see, Alexander.”

“Ren?”

“That girl Eve is pretty impressive. She actually brought us back to life.”

“Too bad we’re just ordinary people now. Our bodies and names belong to them.”

“Doesn’t matter. I now have all of Shizuku’s memories. Never thought we were just fictional characters.”

“At least we have self-awareness.”

“By the way, how strong is Aiko?”

“Not bad, but if you say that to Mio, she’ll probably get upset.”

“Yeah. She’s been getting cold looks because of the trouble you caused.”

“Then when we get out, we’ll stay with them.”

“Of course. But watch what you say—don’t let anything slip.”

“Don’t worry.”

“For now, all we can do is wait to be revived.”

“Just being able to come back is a blessing.”

“They’re queens now, while we laze around.”

“Not necessarily. That Eve girl might have something up her sleeve.”

“I feel the same. Better stay alert.”

Four hours later, Eve used a black hole to send the Divine One and the others back. Mio and Shizuku stayed in Eve’s room. The door was locked and magically soundproofed.

Eve snapped her fingers, and two unconscious girls appeared on the floor. They looked like Nibecols from Date A Live, one with silver hair, one with gray, both with blue eyes.

Mio was puzzled.

“Little Dark, aren’t those just Watson’s looks?”

“Got complicated, so I gave up on that.”

“Okay. So what are their names?”

“How about giving them the same family name as yours?”

“Sure.”

“Then, the Dark King is Ren Kamigami Dole Viscott. The Sacred King is Ari Viscott.”

“The naming sense is awful.”

“Whatever, let’s begin.”

The bodies of Shizuku and Mio were glowing. The light turned into a sphere and entered the two bodies. The two bodies’ fingers twitched, then they sat up.

“Finally resurrected. But Eve, your naming really is terrible.”

Though the Holy King said that, she still looked very happy.

“You must be my body’s successor, Shizuku, right?”

“Yeah. Welcome back, Karen. That goes for you too, Aria.”

“It’s been thousands of years. I need to go out for a proper stroll.”

“Sure, we’ll go together later.”

Mio leaned in and sniffed the Holy King.

“What are you doing?”

“Your body smells different from mine.”

“Is that so? Well, thanks to you all, we’re finally revived.”

“Of course.”

“Let us serve as your subordinates now.”

“Obviously. Otherwise, why would I resurrect you?”

Karen walked to the window, took a deep breath, and smiled softly.

“Humans really are an interesting species.”

Shizuku walked over and hugged Karen.

“You’re human now too, you know.”

“I know. But hugging my own former body feels a bit weird.”

“Well, it’s my body now anyway. Your top priority is the same as ours: get used to your body.”

“Understood.”

“Aria, how are you feeling?”

“Not bad.”

“You know about the tournament, right?”

“I do.”

“Then do your best and defeat the divine ones.”

“You want me to go?”

“Of course. We sisters prefer hand-to-hand combat over swordplay.”

“But the opponent is the strongest sword dancer. I might not meet your expectations.”

“Just hold your own for a few rounds. Let’s have fun starting tomorrow, then begin real training in a few months.”

Karen turned around with an excited look.

“You both have the power of the Spirit King, and Aiko has it too. This is going to be fun.”

“Yeah, and I have the body of a Spirit King merged with a Saint and an Angel.”

“That body is mine now, not yours.”

“Sorry.”

Eve opened the door at that moment.

“It’s raining outside. Are you four really going out? Go take a bath first.”

“Aren’t you going to bathe, Kurai?”

“I’ll go later. I need to check the top floor; maybe the roof isn’t sealed properly.”

“Okay.”

“Karen, Aria, come with me.”

The two nodded and followed her.

In the bathroom, all four of them soaked in a large bathtub. Shizuku floated on the surface with a satisfied face.

“So comfy. Public baths around my place were nice, but this one’s better.”

“Yeah.”

“You two are now Spirit Kings. What do you plan to do next?”

Asked by the Holy King, Mio answered with closed eyes, “Just do what needs to be done. You should know from my memories.”

“A better world, with technology like the original world, right?”

As Karen said that, Mio agreed. Shizuku flipped over and swam to Karen’s side.

“Karen, you know about the Dragon Balls from my memory, right?”

“Yeah.”

“The fights were awesome. Once I adjust, I want to try something like that.”

“But my original body wasn’t built for combat.”

“Train for it. I wonder if we can build a gravity chamber.”

“Sounds fun.”

Suddenly, bubbles emerged from under the water, and Est appeared.

“E-Est?! What are you doing here?”

“Mio, I came to bathe with you.”

“Alright, but how did you just appear like that?”

“I heard you all were taking a bath, so my sister and I rushed over.”

“Where’s Restia?”

“Playing cards with Mireya.”

“Est.”

The Holy King called out to Est, who responded with a blank expression.

“Long time no see, former Spirit King.”

“You remember?”

“Yes. But acting in front of the divine ones all the time was exhausting.”

“Must’ve been tough.”

“Not really. Everything is for Mio.”

“Then am I still useful to you?”

“Ask Mio.”

“Don’t ask me. Go find yourself a sword spirit.”

“Fine. But I know which sword spirits are high quality. Karen, want to come with me someday?”

“I’ll pass. I’m not into fighting much.”

“You two should focus on adapting to your new bodies. We’ll talk about the rest later.”

“I’m just saying, Mio, aren’t you worried you’ll lose in the tournament? I have all your memories. You guys can fight but don’t know how to use a sword at all.”

“We can train. And with our perfect bodies, we’re also demigods. Our talent and potential are not below the divine ones.”

“Looks like I’ll have to lead the charge.”

“Karen, do you still have any magic?”

“Not a bit. We’re only slightly stronger than normal people.”

“That’s expected. Kurai probably feared you might rebel.”

“She overthought it.”

“But the potential threat still exists.”

“Can’t be helped.”

Mio leaned over and stared at Alexander’s and Karen’s chests.

“Your chests are really small.”

Alexander gave a wicked smile.

“You’re the one with the biggest chest.”

“Yeah. I’m not even used to it. I’ll ask Eve later if she can adjust it to match my original body. Karen’s original figure, by the way, was the best among all women—even better than the four kings.”

“You flatter me.”

At that moment, Eve entered the bathroom and approached.

“Looks like you’re all enjoying yourselves. I’ll join too.”

After undressing, Eve slowly entered the water.

“Hey Kurai, do you have any magic that can shrink my chest a bit?”

“I’ve only heard people ask to make them bigger. Never smaller.”

“But can it be done?”

“Sure. How small do you want?”

“Same as my original world. If possible, make this body look like I’m 17.”

“Turning your body to a 17-year-old version is no problem, but…”

“But what?”

“In your original world, you were an AA cup.”

“I’m used to it.”

“Alright then. Shizuku, do you want to change too?”

“Same as the original world.”

“You were an A. Your sister was AA. I’m just barely a B.”

“Hahaha.”

Karen and Alexander snickered.

“Stop laughing, you two.”

“Got it… hahaha.”

“Aria, you’re still laughing.”

“Sorry, it’s just too funny.”

“Humans really are fascinating.”

Then, the two of them glowed and transformed into the figures they wanted.

“Wow, this feels so much better.”

“Same here.”

Eve gently patted their heads.

“Enjoy yourselves, but remember to be prepared. The tournament is just practice. Our true enemies are the gods from the original world. Est, make sure you give it your all when the time comes.”

“Okay.”

Mio always found Est a bit odd, so she asked directly.

“Est, how much do you actually know?”

Est looked at Eve, who nodded in response.

“Actually, I’m the original undivided Est from another world. Eve brought me here when I was born and modified me into a demigod sword spirit. I have no curse, and I hold the memories of every Est in this world.”

“Then are you Eve’s sword?”

“No. I’m yours, Mio. Eve planned to give me to you from the beginning.”

“No wonder.”

Eve responded cheerfully.

“Everything I’ve done is minor. You two sisters are Spirit Kings—don’t use human values to judge things.”

“What about Karen and Alexander?”

“They’re partially demigods with Spirit King souls. And by the way, Restia was created by Shizuku. But since Shizuku is a demigod, Restia is one too.”

“Demigods seem really capable.”

“You’re mistaken, Karen. It depends on the person. I just have way too many flashy abilities—too many to count.”

“I see. Then show us all the fun stuff.”

“I only serve Mio and Shizuku. If Mio hadn’t wanted to revive Alexander, I wouldn’t have brought her back.”

“I don’t even know why Mio agreed to revive me.”

Mio smiled.

“You used to be so emotionless and alone. I thought I’d keep you company. Isn’t that good?”

“It is. But when people give you cold looks, it makes me uncomfortable.”

“It’s fine. I don’t care. If anyone wants to fight, I’m in all the way.”

“Sis, that’s the real fighting spirit of the Saiyan race, right?”

“Yeah. Shizuku, do you remember what Mira said?”

“I do. ‘I’ve been thinking about what I’m missing, what they have and I don’t. That’s the unwavering fighting spirit that never backs down, no matter how strong the enemy. That’s their innate strength, which I lack. I won’t call myself the strongest anymore. I’ll surpass my limits in this battle!’”

“You two sisters are something else. Oh, and I already told Mireya and the others earlier—you created two beings with your own will.”

Karen looked somewhat reassured.

“Better than being dead, right?”

“Karen, you have a mission.”

“Tell me. I’ll do it with everything I’ve got.”

“Go see the Dragon King Bahamut. Do whatever you can to remove her hostility toward Mio. Also, when around others including Bahamut, act like you don’t know why you have all the original body’s memories. Say you’re confused too.”

“Got it.”

“What about me?”

“Alexander, stay by Mio’s side and protect her. You and Karen’s bodies are built for hand-to-hand combat and ranged attacks. Not suited for swords, but fists, energy blasts, and magic all work.”

“Alright.”

“Then it’s settled. We’ve got a lot to prepare for tomorrow.”
