At 4 PM, a floating island 90,000 meters above the ocean suddenly appeared in the sky. This floating island was the “Sky Capital” that Eve had mentioned before. Mireya and the others were granted the ability to fly by Eve.
“My Lord, what shall we name this floating island?”
Mireya asked out of curiosity.
“Hmm… what was the name of the Holy Kingdom again?”
“The Holy Kingdom of Lucia.”
“Then let’s name this floating island Shenyue Saint Aria, but I’ll discuss the architecture with Mio.”
“My Lord, what about the beings from the other world?”
“Don’t worry, after the resurrection, the Dark Holy King, you Mireya, Yugudora, and Luminaris have all been enhanced.”
“What about me?”
Nibecol started to ask.
“Just like Restia Est and the others. Basically, all of us are growing stronger and fighting more bravely.”
Yugudora smiled softly.
“Too bad we’re not battle maniacs. As long as the mission is complete, that’s enough.”
“Yeah, but Restia, Est, Aiwa, and Sara are probably having fun in Aresia right now.”
“My Lord, what’s next?”
“Nothing. You’ve been helping me find a place all day. Go back and rest.”
At that moment, the divine being had just arrived at the city center. Although Mio’s home sensor had already picked it up, she didn’t pay much attention.
“Kamione.”
“Yes!”
“Your brother might be coming.”
“Really?”
“Why would I lie? Besides, he’s still your brother.”
“Then I’ll change my attitude. Do you know where he is?”
“City center. Take a carriage.”
“Alright.”
After Kamione left, Mio walked into Alexander’s room, where he was playing his PSV.
“Alex, how powerful is the god who created you?”
“No idea. As Elf Kings, we know absolutely nothing — not their personality, appearance, or voice. Nothing.”
“Same with Ren?”
“Yep.”
“Then how do we fight if we don’t even know who the enemy is? Alex… do you have any ideas?”
“Eve will handle it.”
“I want to fight myself. After all, I do have your power.”
“Then how about we go back to fighting in the sky using only our original bodies?”
“Sure.”
“We’re doing this because of Eve, but I’ll go easy on you.”
Then Mio hugged Alexander.
“Thank you, Holy King.”
“After all, you used to be an ordinary person with no combat experience. Ren and Shizuku will also join the spar.”
“Rin too. She’s my adopted sister.”
“Alright.”
Alexander glanced again at his PSV.
“Mio, if our world developed gaming consoles, wouldn’t it be even better?”
“Little Dark and I have already started considering that. But this world lacks many things. For now, we can only use pirated tech. There aren’t even sockets for charging, unlike with Little Dark’s magic.”
“Wish-based power probably won’t work either, since the tech is too far behind and it’s not native to this world.”
“What should we do? Humans here rely too much on spirits, which has drastically set back human technology.”
“Why so anxious?”
Alexander laughed.
“Your original goal was to attain true light and illuminate the world the right way, not just be a ‘King of Light’ in name…”
“Let’s not talk about it. The more I hear, the worse I feel.”
“Alright, but my goal is to destroy the old world and create a new one, same as yours. The only difference is that I believe humanity can progress in civilization while surviving. As a nominal ‘King of Light’, I’ll illuminate the world properly.”
“There will be opposition. Even though Ren and I have changed a lot because of your sister’s memories, your experience alone isn’t enough to change the world. It’ll take at least a hundred years.”
“True.”
“But speaking of game consoles and the world, I really admire you.”
“After all, I’m now the official Elf King. Other Elf Kings may have become doors in their true forms, but now they appear as children in both appearance and personality. My personality needs no explanation.”
“Yeah…”
Alexander smirked mischievously.
“You’re also hiding your ‘lewd’ side.”
“You’ve seen all my secrets. But Shizuku and I are yuri. I rarely talked to boys in the old world.”
“Tomboy! Flat-chested!”
“Careful or I’ll serve you an extra-large Earthquake Cake Combo. You know what that means, since you have my memories.”
“So lewd.”
“Girls only. I invented it.”
“By the way, did you use the unlimited stamina gem I gave you?”
“No, but I don’t need to.”
“Why not?”
“I’m very satisfied with my own power and strong fighting ability. But I want to keep getting stronger — this kind of limitless power is crucial to my plan!”
“I see…”
Alexander returned to his original form and smiled again.
“Hope you surpass me!”
“Mm, I’ll do my best.”
Meanwhile, in the city center, Kamione spotted the divine being from her carriage.
“Stop here.”
She got off and followed behind the divine being.
As he walked, someone suddenly hugged him from behind.
“Who is it?”
“Can’t recognize my voice?”
“Kamione!?”
“Brother… I didn’t expect you to come to me yourself. Saves me the trouble.”
Kamione let go and walked in front of him, smiling adorably.
“Saves you trouble?”
“Just want to walk around with you, but first I have a question.”
“What question?”
“If I went back in time to the battle between Holy King and you, and I chose to help the Holy King, would you have cut me down too?”
“Why ask this?”
“Just tell me the answer.”
“I’d just knock you out. You’re not even a spirit user anyway.”
“Really? If in the future they create time-space magic…”
Kamione’s tone turned serious.
“I plan to test it for myself!”
“Don’t do something stupid.”
“Because I don’t trust someone who abandoned me for so many years. But thanks to the Holy King, I let it go.”
“So what do you want?”
“Eat, drink, and have fun! I still call you brother. If I really wanted to sever ties, I wouldn’t even acknowledge you.”
“Got it.”
“Then let’s go hang out, Brother!”
“Alright.”
They went to a steakhouse and found a table. Kamione ordered two top-grade steaks.
“Kamione, won’t this steak be expensive?”
“No worries. The Holy King gave me a free pass.”
In truth, Mio had already informed the restaurant.
“I see… But the Holy King has changed a lot. Her tone now is nothing like when I first met her.”
“I don’t know how she used to speak, but I think she’s kind and good to people.”
“Maybe I really did knock her head too hard.”
“Mind your tone, Brother!”
Kamione was clearly annoyed.
“Alright.”
“You’re so rude, treating the Elf King like that. And it’s terrible for a man to hit a woman.”
“It’s just hard to adjust going from enemies to allies.”
“Then let me be clear—”
Kamione’s eyes sharpened.
“From now on, no matter which nation or who it is, if anyone shows ill intent toward the Holy King, I will show no mercy — even if it’s your friends. I’m serious!”
“Unless she causes trouble first.”
“But when it comes to benefits, don’t blame me. I chose to side with the Holy King for a reason. I wasn’t forced — I joined willingly. [Big nation and ice cream shop]”
Soon the waiter brought the steaks. Kamione took a bite and lit up.
“So tender and delicious. Top-grade steak with special sauce is amazing. As expected from the Holy King’s country.”
The divine being also tasted it — even better than the steaks back in the Dragon Kingdom. But a childhood memory of eating with Kamione flashed in his mind.
“Kamione, are you planning to become a citizen here?”
“Yeah. I’m an orphan with no nationality anyway. The Holy King already approved it. Want to join too, Brother?”
“No thanks.”
“That’s a shame. But in the future, as a citizen of an enemy nation, I won’t go easy on you.”
“Such hostility…”
“Well, you did get captured by the Academy. But Brother, let me warn you and your friends at the Academy.”
“Huh?”
“I don’t know if you’ve harmed innocents, but your friends probably have. One day, someone might come for revenge — especially your cute little sister!”
“You know about the Academy?”
“Yes, I asked the Holy King everything about you. Spirit user, Night Demon King, I know it all.”
“Are you mad?”
“Yes. I didn’t expect you to have done such things.”
Kamione uses “you” when she dislikes her brother. Usually she says “Brother.”
“I had no choice.”
“Anyway, it’s all in the past. Now you’re kind again, just like in childhood. But I can’t act on emotion — I belong to the Holy King.”
“The Holy King named herself Mio, probably to start from zero.”
“Probably.”
Meanwhile, outside the national gate, a brown-haired girl in armor with dark red eyes and a sword on her hip arrived. She looked about 15 or 16.
The girl sighed in relief.
“Finally here. Time to meet Lady Mio!”
She called a carriage and left.
At that moment, Eve had just returned home from Aresia with the spirits.
“How’s Little Dark?”
“She can start discussing architecture with Shizuku. Est and the others had a lot of fun in Aresia.”
“Good. I’ll visit Aresia tomorrow too.”
Shizuku came down the stairs.
“Little Dark, is the curse on my sister, the divine one, and Est from Aresia gone?”
“Relax. I already removed it. I went to see the divine one last time and lifted it then.”
“That’s good.”
“Where’s Kamione?”
“With the divine one.”
“Well, they’re siblings. It’s fine. Also, I want to introduce two newcomers.”
“Newcomers?”
“Come out, Little Neme!”
A figure suddenly appeared, shocking Mio, Shizuku, and Rin.
All three: Nemesis?!
“Hello there, I’m Little Eve’s friend.”
The three of them gathered around, and Mio was the first to speak.
“Little Nemesis, do you have shapeshifting abilities?”
“Yeah, and I can even change my figure easily. Looking forward to working with everyone.”
“Then, Kuroi… who’s the other one?”
“Let me introduce her in advance—Integrity Knight, Edith Synthesis Ten.”
“An Integrity Knight!? Is Alice coming too?”
“Only her. But to deal with the trouble, bringing more people helps.”
An hour later, someone knocked at the door. Eve walked to open it.
“Long time no see, Edith.”
“Edith Synthesis Ten, temporarily suspending guard duties, returning to the team!”
Eve smiled.
“Don’t be so stiff, Edith.”
“Forgive me, but it’s been a long time since I saw you, my lady.”
“Come on in, then.”
Edith became visibly excited once she entered the living room.
“So many cute girls here!”
Mio walked over and glanced around.
“Wow, no wonder she’s an Integrity Knight.”
“Integrity Knight? I’m just a regular knight.”
“Is that so… I’m Mio. Please take care of me from now on.”
“I wouldn’t dare, Lady Mio.”
“What an interesting person.”
“Hehe, Edith, come with me. I’ll take you to your room so you can change first.”
“Yes!”
Once they reached the room, Edith got even more excited.
“This room is huge!”
“Yeah, and Little Nemesis is in the room next to yours on the right. Right, Nemesis?”
“That’s right.”
Nemesis could appear anytime, but it was also part of her mischievous abilities.
Edith ran over and hugged her.
“It’s been two weeks, Little Nemesis.”
“You’re still the same. Want to try something a little spicier? No guys around anyway.”
“Next time. But don’t try that during bath time.”
“Alright.”
Nemesis smirked mischievously.
“By the way, Little Eve, got anything fun going on? I’m bored to death.”
“Not at the moment, but something’s coming up in a few days.”
“You mean the ones behind the Gate to the Otherworld, right?”
“Yeah. Looks like you heard it all using the detector.”
“My lady, how’s my detector coming along?”
“The thermal sensor detector you wanted is ready. It’s in your cabinet.”
“Awesome! It’ll help a lot if there are invisible enemies.”
“There’s no such thing as invisibility in this world.”
“But you taught us, ‘better safe than sorry.'”
“That’s true. But make sure to prepare before heading to other worlds.”
“Little Eve, do Mio and the others know?”
“Not yet. But to go to their original world, we’ll need Anku’s power anyway.”
“That god?”
“Yeah, even though they’re as mischievous as you…”
Knock knock.
Eve went to open the door. Aster was at the entrance.
“Mio asked me to tell you her detector seems to be malfunctioning. She told me to bring it to you.”
“Thanks.”
Downstairs, Mio and Mireia had gone out for a walk.
On the street.
“My lady… do you really think this kind of life is okay?”
“You get used to it. Besides, with billions of versions of me in other worlds, I can’t stay here forever. Will you still follow me then?”
“Of course I will.”
“But don’t die again. Reviving you this time took everything I had. If you die again, it might be forever.”
“Yes!”
“I’ve come to understand a lot. I used to seem cruel and heartless, but I still had a trace of human emotion. When Yugudora died, I instinctively cried out ‘no’ and fell into despair. Outwardly, I was a ruthless puppet master, treating everything as toys for my amusement. But deep down, I was terribly lonely. I just longed for a happy life like a human—just a pitiful spirit king.”
“But I will always follow you, my lady.”
“I’m really glad to have you all. I only realized how much I cared after I lost someone important.”
“I couldn’t see into your heart before. Seems I was mistaken.”
“But be careful. We’ve made a lot of enemies—beware of revenge.”
“Revenge…”
“What is it?”
“It’s nothing.”
At that moment, Mireia was thinking about the revenge letter from before.
(I absolutely can’t drag my lady into this. I’ll handle it myself.)
“Ha!”
A blue energy blast turned the opponent to ash.
“Whew!”
She immediately grabbed Yugudora and Luminaris and teleported them home.
“Little Darkness, I’m heading to Mireia’s!”
Then Mio vanished using teleportation.
“What’s going on?”
She pretended not to know.
Thirty minutes later, Mireia woke up, feeling weak all over in a sealed room, then touched her head.
“I think I was knocked out, and then…”
“Hey! How does my friend’s medicine feel?”
A girl stepped out from behind Mireia, and Mireia’s eyes widened.
A silver-haired girl who looked about 14, wearing a princess outfit, stared at Mireia with crimson eyes like she was looking at a corpse.
“It’s you!”
“Right, you must’ve seen my revenge letter? My friend is handling the six spirit kings. As for you—I’ll handle you myself.”
“Just you? A little princess from the Edge Kingdom thinks she can take me on?”
“You should worry about yourself. I’ve become a half-otherworld being, and I can ignore the treaty to attack you.”
“Oh? Then try it if you dare!”
Mireia smiled fearlessly.
“Hmph…”
The girl punched Mireia in the face, then smirked.
“How’s that?”
“Soft punch.”
Then she kicked her, but Mireia didn’t budge.
“Looks like I don’t need strength to deal with you.”
All Mireia really wanted to know was—where was the one who knocked her out?
“Maybe I should use a knife? Or electric shocks? Lower the oxygen in the room? Pull your nails? Maybe your teeth too?”
Cold sweat started dripping from Mireia.
“Or maybe destroy your dignity as a woman? Why not all of it?”
“You really hate me that much? Just remember—if you lay a hand on me, you’ll pay with your life!”
“Tch, still acting tough.”
She kicked again, but Mireia didn’t flinch.
The girl was terrified inside, but her body and mouth wouldn’t obey her anymore.
(No, please! I’m sorry! I don’t want to fight the spirit king’s people! Help!)
Dark Yue heard her thoughts, but ignored them for amusement.
Just then, the door opened, and the one who had knocked Mireia out walked in.
“What are you doing, Amina?”
“Teaching her a lesson so she won’t mess with me again.”
“Planning to torture her?”
“Pretty much.”
“Mireia… or should I say, Est. Tell me, how did you come back to life? My ally was destroyed by Alexander.”
“Why should I tell you? And who are you?”
“I’m Odin, ruler of Asgard… and the god behind what you call the Gate of Origin.”
Dark Yue liked Norse mythology and often called herself Odin, ruler of Asgard, in front of others.
“From now on, I’ll rule this world too.”
“Impossible. The Holy King—”
Before Mireia could finish, Dark Yue covered her mouth.
“Defeating the six spirit kings is just a matter of time. But right now, I only care about you. How did you revive? And how did you go from elf to human? Tell me, Est!”
Mireia wanted to strike, but her body was too weak.
Dark Yue let go, grinning wickedly.
“Est, what do you think would happen if I tossed you onto a busy street? I know exactly how to get to you.”
“Do it, then! I’m not scared!”
“Amina, remember how she ruined your reputation?”
“I do. She used otherworldly darkness to make me lose my family, my status, and my pride.”
“Do you like long socks?”
“Yes, but depends on the quality.”
“How about hers?”
Mireia suddenly understood what they meant by “tossed into the street.”
“They look nice.”
“Then take them off!”
Mireia started to panic.
“Amina, if you dare, I’ll make you pay in blood!”
“Stop talking.”
Dark Yue pinned Mireia to the floor.
“My drug lasts about two hours. Right now, you’re just like a fish on a cutting board. Amina—go!”
“Yes!”
Amina started taking off Mireia’s shoes, and her face grew red.
“Don’t…”
After removing the shoes, she touched Mireia’s feet.
“Stop…”
Dark Yue simply wanted to see her embarrassed.
Then Amina began removing the socks, slowly. Mireia’s face flushed deep red, and tears formed in her eyes.
“I won’t forgive you!”
“Too bad your weak point as Est is your feet.”
Dark Yue had Amina remove the socks so slowly that by the time they reached the toes, Mireia was nearly fainting from shame.
Once removed, Amina looked at Mireia’s feet.
“Well cared for…”
She began pressing and rubbing them.
“So soft.”
“Ugh… please stop…”
No matter how Mireia pleaded, Dark Yue didn’t intend to stop.
“Amina.”
“Yes!”
“Put on her socks, then head back.”
“Yes!”
Amina slipped the socks on herself.
“How do they feel?”
“Perfect fit. Feels good too. Kind of satisfying.”
But Amina’s true thoughts were:
(I’m done for. I’ll have to go live in the mountains now.)
“You take her to the street. I’m going to deal with the Holy King.”
“Got it.”
Suddenly, an energy blast hit Dark Yue and knocked her outside the house.
Amina and Mireia looked in surprise.
“My Lady!”
“Holy King!”
Mio arrived and punched Amina, knocking her down, then turned to Mireia.
“Are you hurt?”
“No, but my lady, that one…”
“Still alive. And this girl hated you, but she was under mind control.”
Then Mio touched Amina’s head.
“Release!”
Actually, it was Dark Yue outside who released her.
Amina looked up at Mio.
“I’m sorry.”
“Watch over Mireia. I’ll handle her.”
“Yes.”
Then Mio rushed out.
“Hey!”
Mireia called to Amina.
“What?”
“My socks—put them back on.”
“Understood. But what happened earlier wasn’t my true intention. Please don’t hold a grudge.”
“Then what was your plan for revenge?”
“Just to ruin your reputation. You’re a fake goody-goody anyway.”
“You have no right to say that. Three years ago, your kingdom attacked the Holy Kingdom first.”
“Not my problem. Why did you drag me into this? I just wanted to live easy.”
“Because you’re a princess.”
“But you seem kinder than before. Is the Holy King pretending to be a good guy too?”
“Watch your mouth. I act under her will and follow her orders.”
Outside, explosions rang out. Amina went to look.
“They’re both using energy blasts… I’d better slip away.”
“Hey! My socks!”
“Weird elf.”
Amina took off the socks and helped Mireia put them back on, then ran away.
Meanwhile, 5,000 meters in the sky, Mio was out of breath.
Dark Yue clapped her hands.
“Impressive strength. Did Eve make you this powerful?”
“Heh… but now I’m mad.”
“Did I hit you too hard?”
“No. You were hiding your power and identity all along. Back when we were kids, we promised to share everything as the three of us—but you never told us.”
“Sorry. I was afraid if I did, you’d leave me.”
“Don’t give me that excuse!”
“It’s not. I truly wanted to be friends with you and Shizuku. But how could I explain it back then?”
“Whatever. We’re still friends. But never lie about your feelings again.”
“I understand.”
Mio flew over and hugged Dark Yue.
“Still feels best hugging you. When we go back to our original world, lend your power to Little Darkness too. I want to bring Mireia and the others.”
“Sure.”
“Then return to your original form. I’ll tell Mireia you just happened to pass by and helped.”
“Okay.”
Then Mio and Dark Yue flew back to Mireia.
Mio carried Mireia and spoke.
“Dark Yue happened to be nearby and helped me defeat Odin.”
“Good. But my lady, your clothes are all torn…”
“What about that girl?”
“Amina ran off.”
Dark Yue looked at Mireia.
“Mireia, get some rest.”
“Okay.”
Back home, Mio placed Mireia on the sofa and went to change clothes.
Eve began healing her, and Yugudora and the others gathered around.
“Mireia, are you alright?”
“I’m fine. My lady and Dark Yue took care of them.”
“Everyone Mio knows is amazing.”
“But to think I was knocked out with one hit… Seems I need to aim higher than just Kazehaya Shinjin and the others.”
Eve sighed.
“I didn’t tell you before to avoid panic. Please don’t tell the others yet.”
Mireia, Yugudora, and Luminaris nodded.
“As for the fruit, I’ll have Mio fetch it later. You have to eat it.”
Meanwhile, Alexander and Ren were playing chess in a room.
“Ren, how hard is it to understand a person’s heart?”
“I don’t really know. Why ask now?”
“I want to understand emotions and feelings better. Mio’s memories aren’t enough. I want to know more!”
