Nonsense! Women always have to queue for the restroom, don’t they? And for a paid dump, of course, one would stretch it out for as long as possible. He had gone countless times, yet he had never witnessed such a scene, likely because he had always frequented the women’s restroom.
Pondering this, Chi Bai recalled something else.
He had yet to use this body to relieve himself; while showering that morning, he had curiously examined its appearance, but he hadn’t actually ‘released water’ with it.
Ah, well, never mind.
The boat will straighten itself when it reaches the bridge (TL Note: A Chinese idiom meaning things will take care of themselves when the time comes), and if he held it long enough, he would naturally figure out how to use it.

The buildings here were all high-rises, requiring authorization to access specific floors.
They had no choice but to use the fire escape, searching floor by floor.
To make their task easier, they called out as they ascended.
In their hands, they carried the ‘Truth’ (TL Note: A literal translation of the Chinese word 真理, here referring to a weapon) that Lei Yi had given them before they set off.
Despite possessing supernatural abilities, the ‘Truth’ proved far more practical.
Their abilities were still unrefined, and accidentally harming a teammate would be disastrous.
For them, however, this ‘Truth’ was merely a glorified club in their hands.
They simply swung it, silencing zombies with a single blow.
Without proper training, they couldn’t wield it with the precision Lei Yi and his comrades displayed, hitting whatever they aimed for.
Upon receiving it, Lin Feng marveled at the ‘Truth,’ caressing it repeatedly.
He even asked Lei Yi if he could keep it, only calming down slightly after receiving a firm refusal.
Once zombies sensed a human presence, they would shriek and lunge forward.
The zombies here were noticeably more agile than those they had encountered before.
Perhaps their ‘novice protection period’ (TL Note: A term from gaming, referring to a period of reduced difficulty or immunity for new players, used here metaphorically) had expired, or perhaps the zombies had finally adapted to their new bodies.
Regardless, Chi Bai and Lin Feng, who had initially maintained a loose formation, were forced to tighten their ranks.
They stood back-to-back, vigilant against any sudden zombie attacks bursting from the doors.
Fortunately, these were office buildings, devoid of cramped individual offices.
Each floor featured spacious, interconnected workstations, with only large meeting rooms and restrooms requiring careful checks for lurking zombies.
They had encountered almost no survivors thus far, despite their repeated shouts, which went unanswered.
As they proceeded, a heavy silence settled between them.
Witnessing the bloodstains splattered across the floors, both fell into a somber quiet.
Just as Chi Bai, once again without much hope, kicked open a restroom door, a figure cowering on the toilet caught his eye.
He gestured for Lin Feng to come inside and see.
It was a girl, her arms wrapped tightly around her chest, her body slick with cold sweat.
Her eyes were squeezed shut, and she trembled uncontrollably, whether from terror or illness, they couldn’t tell.
Lin Feng was equally surprised to find another survivor.
He and Chi Bai carefully helped the girl out, propping her against the wall.
They called out to her and gently shook her, attempting to rouse her consciousness.
Soon, however, Chi Bai noticed the scratch marks on the girl’s arm, her blood tinged with an eerie green.
Chi Bai pointed it out to Lin Feng, whose expression immediately darkened.
This situation clearly suggested infection, and by all rights, they should have eliminated her.
Yet, the girl appeared otherwise normal; her skin hadn’t turned the tell-tale ashen gray of a zombie, her body still held warmth, and she was still breathing.
Under such circumstances, it was difficult to determine whether to kill her.
Chi Bai carefully lifted the girl’s eyelids, noting the presence of her pupils.
He then touched her forehead, finding it exceptionally hot.
A sigh of relief escaped him as he looked at Lin Feng and declared, “We can’t kill her.
She still has her pupils, and she’s running a fever, so she’s likely infected.”
“Why don’t we hide her in a meeting room on this floor?”
“We can barricade the entrance with tables and chairs to keep zombies out, and if she unfortunately turns, it will also prevent her from escaping and harming others.”
Lin Feng nodded, helping Chi Bai hoist the girl onto his back.
Together, they walked towards the meeting room they had just passed.
Only after securing her did they resume their work of clearing the building and searching for more survivors.
Regrettably, this building yielded only one survivor—this girl.
On the bright side, however, it was possible that others had managed to escape.
The bloodstains here were sparse, mostly green zombie blood, suggesting that someone might have fought their way out.
He and Lin Feng ultimately returned to the meeting room on that floor.
Observing the girl, who still trembled with her eyes tightly shut, they decided to take her downstairs.
They placed her in their SUV, closed the door, and after reporting the situation to Lei Yi, continued their search in the next building.
They had not driven far from the stadium when they found themselves in the vicinity of Chi Bai and Lin Feng’s company.
Aside from the prominent office buildings, the upper floors of other structures were residential, while the ground floors housed various shops.
The interiors of these street-level shops were clearly visible from outside.
After clearing out the zombies, they proceeded to the next building, which was, in fact, their own company’s main office.
