Shi Yun completed his task, confirmed no unexpected emotional events occurred, and exited the field.
Seeing everyone getting enthusiastic, Director Zhang glanced at the flow chart and moved on to the next segment:
“Children, remember the color sorting activity we often play?”
The 22 students, brimming with energy, shouted out with the momentum of 220 students: “We remember!”
Director Zhang, as if already accustomed to their appearance, raised his hand and precisely pointed at a lively, dark-skinned boy:
“Shan Ze, your loud voice could shake the fruits off the trees for the village chief!”
Shan Ze chuckled, his large white teeth reflecting light: “My dad wouldn’t recognize it’s me!” He eagerly squeezed forward: “Director Uncle, what are we playing?!”
Director Zhang told him to stand properly and not cause trouble, returning to the main point: “Before the game starts, let’s have a color quiz first. The quiz question is—what color is the round badge on your chest.”
He shook the small flower stamp in his hand: “The first one to answer correctly gets a reward!”
As soon as these words came out, there was instant commotion below.
Wei Tian Si looked at his own and then at Qi Miao’s, somewhat puzzled: “Sister Miao Miao, why are ours different?”
Just as Qi Miao was about to answer, she suddenly felt her bow tie move.
Startled, she quickly turned her head and saw a little girl with a face full of longing withdrawing her hand.
The little girl met her gaze, her eyes unable to hide her admiration, and praised: “This is so pretty!”
Qi Miao defensively changed her posture: “This was given to me by my mom. It’s my favorite bow tie. Don’t touch it.”
The little girl showed no remorse, giggled shyly, and turned to play with Jiang Nianyu again.
After carefully identifying it, Jiang Nianyu happily shared with her: “Look, Nianyu likes it!”
Guai Guai curiously tugged at his round badge, revealing his round little belly.
Qiqi, as if worried he would catch a cold, reached out his little hand to cover his belly button, earnestly saying: “Guai Guai, you can’t do that, you’ll have diarrhea!”
Guai Guai didn’t care, after looking at his own, he wanted to tug at Qiqi’s.
Qiqi wouldn’t let him, and the two were stuck in a stalemate.
Pin Chi sighed speechlessly, using a very coaxing tone to raise a finger to Guai Guai and wiggle it:
“Handsome guys can’t do such impolite things!”
The word ‘handsome guy’ worked very well on Guai Guai.
He let go of Qiqi and pretended to be profound, trying to put his hands in his pockets.
After feeling around a few times and realizing the school uniform pants didn’t have pockets, he simply hooked them on his waistband: “Little Uncle, you’re right.”
Just as Pin Chi was about to praise him, he saw the boy’s hand, as if he couldn’t stay still, go into his pants and wiggle both sides.
As if discovering a new continent, Guai Guai cheerfully said to Qiqi: “Look at me, look at me, Batman!”
Pin Chi covered his face.
There were so many things wrong, he didn’t know whether to scold first or hit first.
Wei Ziyu patted Pin Chi’s shoulder, and while no one was paying attention, quietly retreated with him and the other lead teachers.
Jiang Song walked beside An Huaixu, watching Jiang Nianyu’s back as she happily played with the other children, feeling somewhat uneasy.
An Huaixu’s expression was completely different from his.
He entered the small class room without looking back.
Jiang Song followed closely behind and sat next to him, still looking out the window repeatedly, appearing unable to calm down.
Annoyed by his movements, An Huaixu got up and went to the small round table, flipping through the textbooks placed on the table.
Jiang Song curiously asked him: “Aren’t you worried about Shuqi?”
An Huaixu perfunctorily said: “A necessary part of growing up.”
Jiang Song was stunned, not expecting the seemingly indifferent An Huaixu to give the same answer as him.
He took a deep look at An Huaixu, and a seed of doubt sprouted in his heart.
Outside the window, the children who had already identified their colors were enthusiastically answering.
Some said pink, others said green or red.
They denied each other, thinking that what they said was correct.
Qiao Li seemed to have discovered something.
He stood between the two groups, looked left and right, came up with an answer, and excitedly squeezed to the front to ask: “Director Uncle, are all three colors the correct answer?!”
Director Zhang patted Qiao Li’s head with relief and praised: “Xiao Li’s observation is really careful!”
Qiao Li smiled shyly, the joy in his eyes barely concealed.
Guai Guai was a step behind Qiao Li.
Not reconciled, he raised his hand and said: “Director Uncle, I actually saw it too, but I haven’t said it yet.” He added: “It should be that the three colors together are the correct answer!”
Director Zhang laughed heartily: “Guai Guai is also very smart. Director will give you both a little red flower as a reward!”
Guai Guai clapped his hands happily: “Yay yay!”
Director Zhang didn’t hear Qiao Li’s response and assumed the child also agreed.
He immediately took out a small red flower stamp from his pocket and pressed it on the back of both of their hands.
Guai Guai ‘Oh yeah!’ and went to show off to Qiqi, raising his hand.
Qiao Li bowed to thank Director Zhang and turned to return to his group.
Shi Yun quietly watched Qiao Li’s back from off the field, feeling that Qiao Li’s emotions were a bit off.
But before he could think deeply about it, Director Zhang said loudly: “Children, you’ve all played match-match, so have you ever played color match-match?”
The children shook their heads, not understanding what kind of game this was.
Qiao Li seemed to want to raise his hand to answer, but the moment Director Zhang looked over, he deflated, pursed his lips, and withdrew his hand.
Director Zhang assumed he wasn’t sure of the answer and didn’t think much of it, continuing:
“Based on the colour on your round badge, find the corresponding classroom, and that’s considered a successful game. Your lead teachers are now waiting for you in the classrooms!”
Director Zhang: “Everyone listen to my command—green middle class goes to the green door, pink small class goes to the pink door, red big class goes to the red door. Color match-match, begin now!”
The children ran out in a whoosh, and the kindergarten was immediately lively.
Guai Guai pulled Qiqi, taking the lead. When passing Shan Ze, he even cheekily went over and giggled twice: “Come and chase me!”
Shan Ze grabbed at Guai Guai.
Guai Guai dodged, but unexpectedly, Qiqi, who was being pulled by him, staggered, lost his balance, and fell to the ground.
Knowing he had caused trouble, Guai Guai quickly helped him up, worriedly saying: “Qiqi, it’s okay, say it’s okay!”
Qiqi got up, clenched his fists, wiped his tears, and comforted himself: “I won’t cry, Mom says I’m, I’m…呜, it hurts!”
Guai Guai pouted and blew on him: “Pain, pain, fly away!”
Because of what they did, they instantly lagged behind Shan Ze.
Shan Ze laughed wildly and quickly entered the green door.
“Yay, I’m first!”
Pin Chi was sitting in a chair playing on his phone when a little black bean screamed and rushed in, almost scaring him into jumping up.
Wei Ziyu patted the little black bean’s head and directed him to sit on the first small stool. Qiqi and Guai Guai sat next to him, following closely behind.
Gradually, six of the seven middle class children arrived.
Pin Chi led everyone in happily chatting about Lotta.
Wei Ziyu stood in front of the door, waiting left and right but not seeing Sisi, feeling a bit anxious.
At the same time, inside the red door of the big class.
Wei Tian Si stood next to Qi Miao, calling her “sister” this and “sister” that, talking to her.
From beginning to end, Qi Miao was covering her side, not saying a word.
Qi Guang didn’t notice Qi Miao’s unnatural actions, and subconsciously scolded her behavior first: “Miao Miao, why are you so impolite?”
Qi Miao pursed her lips and said in a low voice: “I don’t want to talk.”
Qi Guang’s face instantly darkened, taking on a bit of a stern father’s aura: “Is this a matter of not wanting to talk?!”
His voice was like a judge in an ancient execution ground, cold and without a trace of emotion.
Not only Qi Miao, but even Qiao Yu, who was Qi Guang’s student, shivered and froze in place.
But this wasn’t a solution. He gave himself a pep talk and tentatively said: “Tea–Teacher, Miao Miao is probably tired. Let her rest for a bit first.”
Qi Guang pinched his brow, waved his hand, and sat down on the chair.
Wei Ziyu poked his head in from the door, following the sound, and when he saw Wei Tian Si, his eyes lit up.
He made an apologetic gesture and walked in: “Sisi, why did you run here? Dad has been waiting anxiously for you next door!”
Wei Tian Si happily ran over and sweetly called out: “Dad!”
Qi Miao glanced at Sisi, fiddled with her hands, and awkwardly turned her head back to the side.
Wei Ziyu sensed that the atmosphere was wrong and used his eyes to ask Qiao Yu.
Qiao Yu sighed, not daring to say that it was Qi Guang’s anger that had scared everyone.
But without him saying it, Wei Ziyu, who knew Qi Guang, understood with just one look, and said in an exaggerated tone:
“I was wondering why there was such a strong smell of smoke. It turns out that our Teacher Qi is about to get angry! Do you need me to call 119 for you!”
His tone was funny, and Qi Guang immediately gave it away, pretending to kick him and shoo him away.
Looking at Qi Miao, Qi Guang sighed: “Miao Miao, what did we say at home?”
Qi Miao clutched her clothes, lowered her head, and said in a very small voice: “Dad, my bow tie is lost… I don’t like it here.”
Qiao Li happened to run in with a group of children, and the noisy sounds covered up her sentence.
Qi Guang shifted his attention and exclaimed: “Did you organize this, Xiao Li? You did a good job!”
Qiao Li chuckled a few times.
Qiao Yu gave him a thumbs up in appreciation.
The big class members had officially arrived.
Qi Guang went to the podium to explain the purpose of this summer training class as required.
Qiao Yu stood behind, writing observation records.
Inside the kindergarten, a few scattered members of the small class were still trying to identify their colors.
An Shuqi tugged at his round badge, turning in circles in place. His small round face was full of earnest comparisons, and he finally determined his direction.
But just as he took two steps forward, he suddenly seemed to have discovered something.
He changed direction and stopped next to a little girl who was blankly looking around.
The little girl had bright, large eyes and a rosy little face. Her hair was even with her shoulders, bright yellow, and the ends were naturally curled, resembling a little angel in Western mythology.
It was just that her eyes were sparkling with tears, her shoulders were hunched, and she fearfully looked around, looking extremely pitiful.
Shi Yun remembered the girl’s name – Jiang Nianyu.
She was the youngest in the study group and was very attached to Teacher Jiang.
He came to a conclusion in his heart, gave a gesture to Director Lin, and appeared in the camera holding a doll.
An Shuqi’s eyes lit up instantly when he saw Shi Yun. He took Jiang Nianyu’s hand and comforted her in a big-brotherly manner: “Don’t be afraid, sister!”
Shi Yun rubbed An Shuqi’s head, squatted down, and tried to keep his gaze level with the two of them:
“Nianyu, what are you looking for?”
Jiang Nianyu hid behind An Shuqi. With Shi Yun’s questioning, she gradually pouted more and more, becoming more and more aggrieved, and finally her sunny day turned to a rainstorm, and she cried out loud, “Can’t see Jiang Dad, Dad’s lost!”
