Since the great racial war hundreds of years ago, humans have become the strongest race in the material world.
Within human territories, other races have all become vassals — the powerful are appeased with privileges, while the weak are given places to live, albeit under heavy restrictions.
After hundreds of years of development, there are now countless half-human hybrid races.
But by human nature, those with bloodlines from powerful races — like dragons, elves, or high-ranking magical beasts — are naturally seen as having superior status.
Their offspring are born with a distinct and prestigious aura, and their innate talents are far above those of normal humans.
As for weaker races, very few would choose to mix with them.
After all, no one wants their descendants to inherit the inferior talents of low-tier species.
Back then, Collins didn’t understand why his father — a high-level mage considered elite even among humans — would choose a low-tier slime as a partner.
But since John made that choice, Collins wouldn’t say anything.
“Mom, I’m home. Let’s have a few more dishes tonight.”
Mieffer couldn’t hide the joy on her face upon hearing Collins speak respectfully.
She nodded excitedly. “Okay, okay, I’ll go prepare dinner right away!”
“Hey, hey, don’t tire yourself out. Let’s eat out tonight.”
“How could that be? My dear Collins rarely comes home — how can I let him eat outside junk? I have to cook myself.”
Mieffer put on her apron and walked into the kitchen.
Soon, the sound of clattering and cooking filled the house.
Collins sat next to his father and handed over the latest research materials he had been working on.
John flipped through them.
“Hm, this is an advanced analysis of fourth-tier magic equations. Are you planning to push toward becoming a fifth-tier mage?”
John had always been amazed at his son’s talent.
After all, his ex-wife possessed the bloodline of a legendary mage from a thousand years ago.
And he himself also carried the lineage of a legendary mage — the Primordial Bloodline.
Collins inherited the blood of two legendary mages, and from birth displayed extraordinary magical talent.
By age fifteen, he had already received the evaluation of a mid-tier mage.
And not long after that evaluation, John noticed his child was already aiming for even higher levels.
“I’m telling you, you don’t have to rush.
I’ve been through it all — you’ve just advanced.
It’s better to finish the mid-tier mage curriculum properly and build a strong foundation.
Don’t be in such a hurry to advance further.”
“It’s not that fast — I’m just interested in these topics lately.”
“Really?”
“At least I don’t plan to advance before entering the third year.
I haven’t even finished the twelve foundational courses of beginner mage training, let alone the mid-tier basics.”
John trusted his child.
So he carefully reviewed Collins’ course materials, pointed out a few errors, and explained which spellcasting techniques could correct them.
He also recommended books that thoroughly addressed the problems and their solutions before handing the materials back to Collins.
Then it was time for dinner.
His stepmother’s cooking was excellent — five dishes and one soup, a feast.
Collins and John sat down at the table.
Mieffer went to call Collins’ two younger sisters.
The first to come out was someone with no blood relation to Collins — supposedly the daughter of Mieffer’s previous husband.
Clearly, that man had good genes — this stepsister was youthful, beautiful, and curvy.
Not only had she inherited Mieffer’s beauty, but she had also been “enhanced” in some areas.
Collins rested his chin on his hand and whispered to his father.
“It seems Mo Yue’s body changed… her face looks more refined too.”
John lifted his chin proudly.
“Of course — a high-tier mage’s Body Sculpting Spell combined with Bloodline Optimization.
It’s far superior to the crude transformation spells of those low-grade shapeshifters.”
The other sister soon came bouncing out of the room.
She had John’s bloodline — Collins’ true half-sister.
But her appearance leaned more toward her mother, Mieffer.
After all, at her young age, she was still a golden blob of water — round, smooth, with two eyes and a small mouth holding an artificially synthesized crystal core.
That’s the ideal food for a slime of her age.
Collins stared at his father.
“It’s about time we used the Transformation Spell and Bloodline Optimization on Cang Mo too, don’t you think?”
The human transcendence system is built around refining and training the human body.
For other races to learn it, they must first acquire a human form — hence, the development of the Transformation Spell.
