“How long has it been since anyone came to this place?”
Yang Yuan and Su Dai Dai stood at the entrance of the new residence, the scene before them leaving them both a bit dumbfounded.
The independent dorm assigned to Yang Yuan wasn’t large; you could see it all in a single glance.
The only thing worth praising was probably the wooden bed, which looked reasonably spacious.
“It’s okay, I’ll help you clean!”
After a brief moment of shock, Su Dai Dai’s enthusiasm actually grew.
She rolled up her sleeves, and with a flick of her palm, a pitch-black void appeared, from which she retrieved a broom and a rag.
Yang Yuan hadn’t expected Su Dai Dai to be so well-prepared, having even stored cleaning tools in advance.
“I’ll sweep the floor, you wipe the table.”
“Okay!”
In the small room, the two began to clean with concerted effort, dust motes dancing in the winter sunlight, creating a somewhat heartwarming picture.
As Su Dai Dai wiped the table, she secretly watched Yang Yuan’s busy back and couldn’t help but start fantasizing.
She felt that this scene was particularly like a newlywed couple who had just moved into their new home and were setting up their love nest together.
This fantasy filled Su Dai Dai with motivation.
“Alright~ Our new home must be cleaned spotlessly.”
“New home?”
Yang Yuan’s movements paused, and he turned back to look at her with confusion.
“Ah… you heard wrong!”
“I said new dorm! Yes, that’s right, new dorm!”
Her flustered expression, a dead giveaway of her slip-up, was a little amusing to Yang Yuan.
This little one was often like this now, secretly thinking about all sorts of things behind his back, unlike when she was a child and would immediately share everything with him.
“Forget about new dorms, see if you can use your ability to suck up all this dust.”
Yang Yuan pointed to the hard-to-clean dust accumulated in the corners, thinking of further developing Su Dai Dai’s superpower.
A spatial ability like this should be incredibly practical.
“I’ll try!”
Su Dai Dai immediately perked up. The black void appeared, producing a faint suction force, and the dust and cobwebs were instantly sucked in.
Such an efficient method couldn’t help but make Yang Yuan a little impressed.
“Amazing, you can even perform such a delicate operation.”
Being praised by Yang Yuan like that, Su Dai Dai smiled and rubbed her head in embarrassment.
“It’s not that amazing, I secretly researched it myself last night.”
“As long as I focus my thoughts on a certain object, the black hole will automatically absorb it.”
Yang Yuan listened to her explanation from the side, nodding thoughtfully.
“It seems quite intelligent then, so…”
“Congratulations, student Su Dai Dai, new function [Vacuum Cleaner], successfully developed.”
“Yay!”
Su Dai Dai cheered cooperatively, and Yang Yuan raised his hand with a smile, giving her a crisp high-five.
For some time now, Yang Yuan had been developing different functions for Su Dai Dai’s superpower.
“Time to demonstrate the next function. Take out my luggage.”
“OK!”
Su Dai Dai gave a little wave of her hand. Having learned from her last experience, this time she was much more careful when releasing items.
One by one, items emerged smoothly from the space and landed on the clean floor.
“A spatial superpower is really just too overpowered.”
Releasing a portion of the items took a considerable toll on the current Su Dai Dai. Fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, and her little face was a bit pale.
Evidently, this kind of action that required a high degree of concentration was still a bit difficult for a novice.
Seeing her like this, Yang Yuan felt a little sorry for her. He took a tissue from his pocket, walked over to Su Dai Dai, and wiped the sweat from the girl’s forehead.
“Just take it slow.”
“I’ll put these things away first, you sit and rest for a bit.”
Yang Yuan’s gentle gesture made Su Dai Dai’s heart flutter. She sat down obediently on the edge of the bed, her eyes fixed on Yang Yuan’s back as he tidied up, filled with an affection that was about to overflow.
Just like that, with their tacit cooperation.
Su Dai Dai was responsible for taking out items as needed, and Yang Yuan was responsible for organizing and putting them away. Soon, the small room was completely transformed.
“Is there anything else?”
After folding the last piece of clothing, Yang Yuan looked at Su Dai Dai.
“Ah… um, I don’t think so.”
Su Dai Dai’s gaze flickered away, her voice a few degrees weaker than usual.
Yang Yuan didn’t notice the strange expression on the girl’s face. He just felt that it was finally over and let out a long sigh, stretching lazily.
“Phew, finally done tidying up.”
“Let’s go, I’ll treat you to a meal. You were the biggest contributor today.”
Hearing that Yang Yuan wanted to treat her to a meal, Su Dai Dai’s expression, for some reason, became complicated.
“I don’t think I can today. I have some things to do later.”
“Is that so?”
Yang Yuan was a little surprised. This was the first time Su Dai Dai had refused his invitation.
“I have time, though. If you have something important, I can help.”
“No need, I can handle it myself!”
“I’ll be coming to A’Yuan for that meal tomorrow, though!”
After saying that, she waved goodbye to Yang Yuan and rushed out of the dormitory as if she were fleeing.
“What’s the matter? Why so sudden and rushed?”
Su Dai Dai’s hastily departing back left Yang Yuan completely puzzled, utterly unable to figure out what she was going to do.
****
Su Dai Dai, who had run all the way outside, leaned against a corner wall, her heart still pounding.
‘Good, A’Yuan didn’t find out.’
She let out a sigh of relief and redirected her focus back into her void space.
In that vast, boundless darkness, a T-shirt floated quietly.
This was one of the pieces of laundry Yang Yuan had asked Su Dai Dai to help store earlier.
Overly excited, Su Dai Dai scurried back to her dormitory like a thief.
She closed the door behind her with a backhand motion and quickly walked to her bed, diving under the covers. The whole process was swift and practiced.
With a thought from Su Dai Dai, Yang Yuan’s shirt appeared from the black hole and landed on the bed.
She reached out her hands and gently cradled the shirt, as if it weren’t an ordinary piece of clothing but the most precious treasure in the world.
‘Calm down, Su Dai Dai, you need to calm down.’
‘Don’t act like a pervert and go crazy over A’Yuan’s clothes.’
Su Dai Dai repeatedly warned herself in her mind, trying to cool down the reason that had gone wild with excitement.
‘But… this is the shirt A’Yuan often wears. It still has his scent on it.’
The reason that had been warning her just a second ago completely crumbled upon smelling the familiar scent.
‘How could I possibly calm down!’
The girl forgot all her admonitions. She closed her eyes and buried her entire face deep into the shirt, using all her strength to take a top-tier, lung-filling sniff.
‘That’s right… this is it.’
‘A’Yuan’s scent, so strong… it smells so good…’
Su Dai Dai breathed in deeply again and again, greedily absorbing the scent that brought her peace of mind.
Perhaps she was too intoxicated; saliva dripped from the corner of the girl’s mouth onto the shirt, leaving a wet mark.
“Ah! Oh no, I got the shirt dirty.”
Su Dai Dai came back to her senses, looking at the wet spot with some懊恼.
But this thought only lasted for a moment before being replaced by another.
‘I have to help A’Yuan wash it later anyway.’
‘Perhaps, I can be a little bolder.’
She took several deep breaths, trying to calm her heart that felt like it was about to leap out of her chest, an unnatural blush on her cheeks.
‘Just this once, A’Yuan will definitely understand me.’
Su Dai Dai persuaded herself with these words.
Then, she put Yang Yuan’s shirt on herself. The men’s T-shirt was a bit large for the girl, the hem almost covering the tops of her thighs.
When the shirt was fully on her, that scent belonging to Yang Yuan completely enveloped her from all directions.
‘This feeling, it’s as if I’m being held by A’Yuan…’
Su Dai Dai wrapped her arms tightly around herself, as if doing so would allow her to feel Yang Yuan’s embrace.
