Daisy was a fool.
A courageous fool who could say he didn’t know what he didn’t know.
As a learner, it was a very good attitude.
In fact, everyone has no choice but to be a fool when they are doing something for the first time.
When I first crossed over to the empire, I couldn’t speak the language, and the direction of civilization itself was different, so it wasn’t even easy to try to understand.
It was by no means a simple task to let go of everything I was familiar with and accept the language and logic of a strange world.
But Daisy is communicating with us now, and isn’t there a great guide like me who has traveled between the two worlds?
But still, adapting was not easy.
First, just as it was for me, ‘wireless Wi-Fi’ was more difficult for Daisy than ‘mana sensitivity’, and
‘Opening an Excel file’ was more painful than ‘writing a magic scroll formula’.
Of course, he had never actually opened Excel, but just looking at the prominent program windows, he muttered that it was like some kind of “magic torture”.
“Is a computer a dead golem? There’s no mana reaction.”
“That’s just turned off.”
“Really? But it’s not moving.”
“I said, it’s because it’s turned off.”
The very concept of power working without magic was a stumbling block.
It was natural since everything in the empire ran on magic and science was extremely underdeveloped.
I wanted to tell Daisy, who had just arrived at our guild, to change out of his tattered clothes, covered in blood and dust and roughly hidden by Yeon Taeseon’s guild outerwear, but…
Daisy was one step faster.
“I want to see your world first. Focusing on the core technology!”
And so, this situation occurred.
“But the mana reaction!”
“Our world runs on something called electricity.”
“Electric magic?”
“Try to think without magic for a bit.”
A world runs without magic?
That fact was a series of shivers and confusion for Daisy.
The more he heard, the more shocked he seemed, and he even opened his eyes wide and waved his hands as if wandering in the air.
A change of perspective, he said.
I finally managed to get him to change his clothes, and when I told him to wash up thoroughly and come out, I was at a loss for words when he came out after half-destroying the bathroom.
The sink had completely fallen off, and the shower head was stuck in the wall.
‘Well, I can fix it later…’
But Daisy’s curiosity didn’t stop there.
Just as I had been fascinated by the magic society.
The modern society was also full of wonders for Daisy.
He couldn’t stop marveling in front of the refrigerator.
“I know this. It’s a ‘food storage period greatly increased artifact’.”
“A refrigerator.”
“Yes, a refrigerator. Seonibaek invented it.”
“I just reinterpreted the things that were here and magically brought them to that world.”
His eyes sparkled like gold.
When I humbly waved my hand, he looked at me with an expression of disbelief and scanned the inside of the refrigerator with his mana.
“Even when I look at it with clairvoyance, it has a complex and incomprehensible structure. It would have taken me years to convert this into a magic formula. Not to mention mass production.”
Saying that it might have taken him years to transfer this into a magical structure, his eyes shone.
He said that even if he had succeeded in transferring it into a magical structure, he wouldn’t have succeeded in mass production as quickly as I had.
“You are a god of magic. One that will never appear in the world again.”
“Even if you praise me so much…”
“I’m glad I met you.”
For a moment, my heart pounded strongly.
The weight of those words was by no means light.
I’m the one who’s glad I could save such an honest person.
Daisy, who had looked around the accommodation, at some point, stopped talking to himself and quietly closed his eyes.
And he quietly sat down and began to breathe mana.
With each breath, his shoulders relaxed, and the tension left him.
After about ten minutes, he looked at me with a much calmer face and smiled.
“Seonibaek.”
“Yeah.”
“You have a disciple here too, right? I know you’re troubled because of Lilac, but.”
“I do.”
I quietly nodded my head.
Although Lilac had grown up crookedly because I had misjudged him, there was a very fine and pretty being here named Baek Jiye.
“I want to meet her. I also want to know how much she has achieved.”
“It’s fine to meet her, but.”
Before I could say that she was a bit busy right now.
KWANG!
The door was roughly opened.
“Constellation-nim!”
I could see eyes blazing with anger.
I slyly avoided her gaze.
Jiye, who had barged into my room without permission, looked haggard in just a few hours.
She had taken the time to rebuke me even though she was busy.
I felt a prick of conscience at her dedication.
“If you were going to cause such a big incident, you should have told me first…!”
“Is she your disciple?”
“A Half Disciple maybe?”
Although I had never taught her as directly as I had Lilac, since I had saved her and raised her, it was somewhat similar.
I also wanted to make Jiye my first disciple here.
Daisy continued to marvel at Jiye.
“The mana accumulated in her body is so pure. Especially her heart. Is she human?”
“You must be Daisy-nim. It’s nice to meet you, but please refrain from reading someone else’s mana on your first meeting.”
“Ah, sorry. Is this considered rude here?”
“Not really, but I’m angry right now.”
Jiye passed Daisy and stood in front of me.
I whistled and desperately looked away.
“Calamity-nim.”
“Yes.”
“Do you want to see me die from overwork?”
“I’m sorry…”
But The Crow’s Ruins had started it first.
My mouth naturally pouted.
And even if it weren’t for this incident, that guy needed to be suppressed at some point.
I didn’t know how vicious a chaotic-evil Constellation could become if they had power and coins.
‘Honestly… I wouldn’t be surprised at all if that crow bastard came back reincarnated as a ‘something’ later.’
Just then, a golden head popped up between Jiye and me.
“Sorry to interrupt while you’re scolding.”
“Please make it quick.”
“I want to see your magic skills. A scholarly debate would be nice too.”
“Magic skills? A scholarly debate?”
Jiye looked at me with a very dumbfounded expression.
“Now?”
At a question that I didn’t know who it was directed at, I mouthed.
‘Magic Tower Head. Crazy. Study-freak. It’s better to accept.’
Jiye, who had roughly understood, made a quick judgment.
Most of the people who were crazy about studying would follow you to their death if you didn’t listen to their requests right away.
To be honest, I think Daisy and I became friends for that reason too.
“I hear you’re a rising star? Let’s have a scholarly debate.”
“No.”
“Why!”
That one word ‘no’ had started a 10-year relationship…
As I was momentarily lost in thought, the two took their seats.
They spoke in a solemn tone, as if they were about to have a duel.
“What’s the subject?”
“Electric magic.”
I slyly backed away.
Electric magic in this world, Daisy really can’t stand not knowing things.
But Jiye was serious.
Mana began to gather at her fingertips, and Daisy watched it with sparkling eyes.
“Let’s start from the basics.”
“Good. The mana of electricity collides with each other, attacks people, burns them, and as a reaction, it extends long and fast. It’s perfect for attack magic. So much so that it’s inefficient to form a shape like an arrow.”
“But it’s difficult to form a shape.”
“I saw a revolution when I came here. So I’m trying to apply the theories of this place to all electric magic. First, just looking at the refrigerator…”
I quickly teleported back to my room.
‘Jiye, I’m sorry.’
At that depth, it would be at least 5 hours.
Maybe it wouldn’t even end by tomorrow.
Jiye has a lot of work to do… I felt very sorry.
I just decided to take a nap.
I had also been to a dungeon, and my tired body had been forcibly visited by someone else’s nebula, so!
And so, I slept through the whole day.
For the record, their debate hadn’t ended by then.
Daisy’s room was full of papers with various magic circles and formulas drawn on them.
‘I could probably write about five papers with this.’
Jiye was continuing a heated debate with him with her red eyes.
She was so engrossed that she didn’t even notice Cheon Sanho loitering outside the room.
Cheon Sanho clasped his hands as if in prayer and said desperately.
“Jiye has abandoned me and is having a debate… I’ve finished the paperwork…”
Hmm. I should help him.
“So if you connect the 487th line of the multi-layered magic circle to the 261st line-“
“Daisy!”
“Shut up! Who’s calling!”
Daisy, who had momentarily shown the temper of a Magic Tower Head, shut his mouth when he saw my sullen face.
“Uh, yeah. What is it?”
“If you’ve had a good debate, let’s go prepare for a special lecture.”
Madness returned to Daisy’s embarrassed eyes.
