After Rin transformed into Eleya, she disappeared instantly.
But in the blink of an eye, Rin found herself in a large forest.
Then she looked up—the sky was still the familiar purple.
“So Na is still alive… Might as well teleport directly.”
But after teleporting to her destination, a long-haired black-haired girl saw Rin and immediately showed a frightened expression.
Although they were still in a forest with no one around, there happened to be a large lake nearby.
“Y-You’re Eleya?!”
“Long time no see, my lovely little toy.”
Although her hairstyle looked a lot like Akame from the anime, her eyes were black.
The girl swallowed nervously when she saw Rin.
“……”
“By the way, what are you doing here?”
“Bathing. But why did you suddenly appear?”
“Because I missed you. But it feels like your presence isn’t as strong as before. You seem really scared now.”
“Then just say it—how are you going to torment me this time? Tear me apart or pour boiling water on me?”
“Or maybe this!”
Rin moved so fast the girl couldn’t see her, then hugged her tightly.
“As expected, it still feels nice hugging you. Though… your chest size is still a B.”
“Your tone feels… different somehow?”
Rin gently patted the girl’s back and smiled at her.
“Yeah. Actually, the old you wasn’t this afraid of me. What happened? Can you tell me?”
“After you left this planet, massive civil wars broke out. There used to be a lot of humans… but now, fewer than 500 remain.”
“Less than 500!? That’s impossible. I remember this planet being huge—there were over 10 billion people.”
“They were exterminated by demi-humans. I only survived by escaping to a remote area. Being tormented by you was already bad enough, and then this happened.”
“Well, you were the one who went against me back then. But I’m glad you’re still alive. I’ll take good care of you.”
“Take care…?”
“To make it up to you!”
The girl sighed.
“As long as you don’t hurt any innocent people, I don’t care.”
“You’re still such a softie. By the way, how do you eat, sleep, and live nowadays?”
“I live in a cave. But you know, I don’t need food or water. Though… I noticed something. You still have an evil aura—but not a killing aura. What’s up with that?”
“It’s simple. I stopped doing all that. You could say I’m way more gentle than before.”
“For real? With how crazy you were about torture, how could you change?”
“Let’s just say I learned something called ‘emotion.’ I lost my memory, got adopted by an ordinary human woman, and was raised as her daughter.”
“That’s like… a silver lining in a terrible situation. Otherwise, with your power, no one would be alive on this planet.”
“Anyway, enough of that. Do you still have your language translation ability?”
“Always have. The words you’re using now aren’t even the same language you used when we first met.”
“Exactly. But hugging you really feels good. Maybe hugging you while you bathe would feel even better.”
“Can you let go now? I still need to finish bathing.”
“Fine.”
“By the way, I go by the name Chiyuki now. I threw away the old one.”
“Alright. I also go by a new name: Kamikoshi Rin Wescott. Just call me Rin.”
“Okay.”
Chiyuki finished undressing and soaked in the lake. The water was so clear you could see the bottom—there wasn’t even a single fish.
“Chiyuki, do you ever wish you could just live an ordinary, peaceful life?”
“Yes. I don’t seek riches or power—just a quiet, safe life.”
“Just like my queen…”
“Your queen? Is she stronger than you?”
“Far weaker! But she wants a simple life too, and I try to follow her will. That’s why I’ve cut back on all the killing and torture.”
“I see… Honestly, when you first appeared, I was scared to death. I thought it was over—that I’d see hell again.”
“But I admired your unyielding spirit back then. I don’t know what I was thinking, but I let you and this planet go in the end.”
“Luckily, no one remembers you now. That was what, 196 years ago? Back then, you pulled me into a mental space—boiled me one moment, deep-fried me the next. It was unbearable. And I couldn’t even pass out in that space.”
“That’s why I respected you. Any normal person would’ve gone insane. Did something happen to you as a kid?”
“No. But I think my overly kind personality comes from my older sister.”
“Your sister? Was she the one I… tore apart with my own hands?”
“Yes. But that’s all in the past.”
“Don’t you hate me?”
“Maybe a little. But if you let hatred consume you, you’ll eventually become a demon. My sister said that. Even if others find it disgusting, I don’t hold grudges.”
“Hatred, huh… My queen also committed many atrocities because of hatred. As for me, I brought trouble on myself and got what I deserved.”
“What happened to your queen?”
“She was a little girl who had just lost her mother. Then she was taken by an organization called ‘Destiny’ and experimented on. She made some friends during that time—but she had to watch them die one by one from torture. Then something called ‘Honkai’ descended and amplified her darkness. She came to hate all humans—not just the organization.”
“Sounds even scarier than you. That’s real despair—true horror. Even wanting to die wouldn’t help.”
“Yeah. At the time, I had almost no emotion—only the urge to kill and torture. But after meeting you, something began to change.”
“By the way, do you want to join me in the lake? The water’s really nice.”
“Sure.”
Rin undressed and got into the water too. It was shallow—only about 1 meter—but Rin floated on the surface, using her powers. Even so, it felt quite refreshing.
“How does it feel?”
“So refreshing! Say, are we the only ones nearby?”
“Yep. That’s why I chose this spot. This lake used to have disease-purifying properties. But due to the demi-humans, it’s now just a regular lake. Fortunately, it still filters itself—so even drinking it is fine.”
“Not bad. But what exactly is our relationship now?”
“Well, I never really saw you as an enemy—it was just personal stuff. Since you’ve turned over a new leaf, how about we start over?”
“Sure. I feel bad about your sister, but I’ll take care of you from now on. By the way, do you still have your combat powers?”
“Long gone. These days, even at full power, I can barely kill a large bear.”
“That weak? But I remember the bears on this planet are twice the size of Earth’s. So… I could probably tear you apart with ease now?”
“Yeah… but you’re not really going to do that, are you?”
“Don’t worry! Speaking of tearing, I suddenly want to eat shredded chicken.”
“The spicy kind?”
“Yeah. Also, once you’re done bathing, I want to bring you to my planet. I’ll teach you what’s right and wrong—just the basics.”
“What planet are you on now?”
“It was originally labeled system FH36, code 6437.”
“You mean… Earth?!”
“You know it?”
“I’ve heard demons from here mention it. They say it has hot water heaters, refrigerators, computers—it’s just like our world. But people there can’t fly or use magic—they’re just intelligent beings.”
“You’ve got demons here too?”
“They used to rule the planet. But since this planet’s lifespan is ending, they gave up on it. Earth has gods, so they left that alone too.”
“I see. But I’m more curious—how did the demi-humans wipe out all the humans here?”
“They said humans are the most dangerous species and should be eliminated. That such a weak race didn’t deserve to stand as equals.”
“Got it. Want me to help clean out those demi-humans? I’ll need less than an hour.”
“No. I hate war and violence. Your ‘fight fire with fire’ approach would just cause more chaos. But I do have an idea—maybe it could protect the remaining humans.”
“Let’s hear it. If I can do it, I will.”
“As I said, no one here knows who you are. You could claim to be a god, pull everyone into a mental space, scare them a little, and say they violated divine law and must be punished. Then I’ll step in and beg for mercy. You’ll let them off for my sake.”
“Hold on. I can pull everyone into my mental space… but I can’t distinguish between humans, demi-humans, or other species. If I do it, they all go in together. What if some of the demi-humans are actually good?”
Chiyuki suddenly understood.
“Sorry. I didn’t think that through.”
“Don’t worry. One person can’t fix an entire planet. Even ruling one takes time—you can’t solve everything at once.”
“Then what should we do?”
“You’re asking me? I don’t know either. As the saying goes, the way to solve a problem is to eliminate its root. And right now, the root of the problem is the demi-humans. So what’s the system of this planet? A monarchy or a democracy?”
“I don’t quite get what you mean, but the highest ruler among the demi-humans is the strongest emperor of this planet! Whoever defeats the emperor gets to take the throne.”
“Then I’ve made my decision. In the name of the god—well, evil god—I’ll defeat the tyrant and declare: The age of brutality ends here! Anyone who dares to kill the innocent again will face misfortune!”
“Great idea!”
“Even though I say that, I’m still a super big villain at heart.”
“But at least you’re much better than before. Speaking of which, when do you plan to go after the tyrant?”
“At the earliest, tomorrow. If I end up looking a little scary then, let me apologize in advance.”
“It’s okay. But to be honest, I’ve never actually seen you fight seriously. Just be careful of the king, okay?”
“Is he that powerful?”
“That king can wield swords of lightning, ice, water, fire, and wind all at once. If you’re hit by the combined energy blast, you’ll be reduced to dust.”
“That’s it? Back when I visited this planet, I didn’t even use 0.0001% of my power. Someone even stupidly tried to attack me with sulfuric acid. I just touched it with my hand, grabbed their face—man, their scream was music to my ears.”
“Why are you so into cruelty? With your looks, you’d be super popular as a cute girl!”
“It’s in my nature. And I wasn’t exactly born from anything good either. But what about you? Why are you so kind-hearted?”
“Same answer as yours — it’s just my nature.”
“Still, you’re too good at holding back. I killed your sister, and you managed to suppress your emotions?”
“If you’re consumed by hatred, you become a terrifying person. I’ve seen so many people ruin their lives because of revenge. And my sister told me repeatedly—if she were ever killed, I must not live with hatred or thoughts of revenge. That was our promise.”
“Chiyuki, I’m going to be honest with you.”
“Go ahead.”
“That kind of promise is downright stupid. But don’t get mad—I have my reasons.”
“Say what you want.”
“So your sister’s idea was that if she got killed, you shouldn’t retaliate, right?”
“Well, it depends. If my power exceeded yours and you were still threatening the world, I would have had to stop you. But if you were no longer a threat, I’d give you a chance to change. My sister forgave a lot of villains. She always told me, ‘If mercy is possible, show mercy.'”
“Still sounds dumb.”
“Why?”
“Because even if I can’t hurt you or your sister anymore, I could still go after weaker people. So unless you defeat me completely, it won’t stop.”
“But that brings us to the core contradiction — aren’t you already completely different from who you were back then?”
Rin fell silent.
“I’m an exception. And the fact that I tore your sister apart and you can still talk to me like this… I respect that.”
“Let’s stop this topic. How about we talk about ways to defeat villains instead?”
“Maybe next time. I have to go soon to escort someone home.”
“But I’d like to hear your thoughts.”
“I’ve got none. I’m no saint—I don’t have a good heart.”
“Alright, my sister always said you shouldn’t force others either.”
But Rin was clearly unconvinced.
(This girl’s words are getting to me… Should I ask Anya to revive her sister? If I remember right, her sister begged me to spare her before dying. They must have been really close. Whatever—might as well ask.)
“Hey! Do you want to revive your sister?”
“Wait—can you do resurrection?”
“I can’t, but I know the ruler of the underworld. We get along pretty well.”
“Then when can I see my sister?”
“Don’t get your hopes up. She’s been dead for a while, who knows if she’s reincarnated already.”
“Okay…”
“I’ll go get dressed and head back. If I can help, I will.”
“Thanks a lot!”
“No problem. I’ve got a sister too—I get how it feels now.”
Once ashore, Rin used her power to dry off and put her clothes back on. Then she suddenly thought of something.
“Chiyuki, if I go up against the king, a huge number of people will probably swarm in. When that happens, your job is to protect and evacuate the civilians.”
“Got it. But your power aside, how can you possibly deal with so many enemies at once?”
Rin grinned wickedly.
“Because I am the incarnation of the abyss!”
With that, Rin walked off, leaving Chiyuki feeling scared.
(What was that evil smile just now?)
Back at home, Rin let out a sigh of relief.
“I’m back!”
“Took you a bit longer than expected. By the way, I packed the stuff she wanted—it’s in a backpack now.”
“Wait—where’d the backpack come from?”
“Made it using the power of the Herrscher of Reason. You could do it too.”
“I could, but figuring out the structure is a pain. Everything else is fine.”
“Then take her back home.”
“Alright!”
But after returning to the Honkai Impact 3rd world, Sirin found herself on the rooftop of a tall building. Rin had a serious look on her face.
“Judging by your expression, you’ve got something to ask me?”
“As expected of the Queen.”
“Go ahead, ask.”
“I want to know how to summon a large number of Honkai beasts.”
“Why do you want to know that?”
“Honestly, I want to destroy part of humanity. There’s just too many people—it’s too much work doing it alone.”
“If you still have Herrscher powers, you can summon them with thought. But since you’ve betrayed the Honkai, it probably won’t work anymore. But maybe your group can.”
“I’ll give it a try.”
“Not here! There’s a city below us.”
“Got it.”
“Let me ask—why this idea? I thought the other version of you already resolved her grudge against humanity. You don’t need to go that far.”
“Relax. I’m not going to randomly kill the innocent. I just want to try copying that queenly vibe I saw in that one video… ‘War, deception, greed, envy—humanity made me lose everything. Now I shall consume all! For I am… Honkai!'”
“You do realize that makes you an enemy of all mankind. Are you serious or just playing around?”
“Of course I’m serious. But like I said, I won’t kill the innocent. I’ll do my research first.”
“Alright then.”
“Queen, I’ll take my leave. Say hi to the other Queen and Cecilia for me.”
“Sure! Come hang out anytime.”
“Will do!”
Then she returned to her original world, but this time, she appeared in Anyue’s room. Anyue was in purple pajamas, gaming at her desk.
“Anyue!”
“Huh? Need something?”
“Yeah. I’d rather not trouble your mom. Do you have a way to revive an alien lifeform?”
“I do. Don’t tell me your Queen got herself into trouble again? Maybe threw a pufferfish tantrum?”
“Not quite. I want to revive someone I killed.”
“Based on that journal? Then this is gonna be a big project.”
“Relax, I just want to revive one person. An immortal species from Planet Platt. They don’t age, but they can be killed.”
“Weren’t you also a pufferfish before? I heard that species was really kind. Elu told me.”
“Let’s not bring up the past. Chiyuki told me most of the humans on that planet were slaughtered by demi-humans. I want to take out the king, then descend as a ‘god’ and say: This was wrong.”
Anyue smirked a little.
“If your strength is close to mine, then yeah—that does sound pretty fun. So, who exactly do you want to revive?”
“Short black hair, black eyes. Twin sister of someone named Nai. Killed by me—Aireya.”
“Fair enough. But what’d they do to piss you off?”
“Do I need a reason to enjoy torture? Still, don’t mistake the old me for who I am now—I’ve changed.”
“Because of your mom… and Mio.”
“Yeah. Speaking of which, I’ve been with the Queen a lot lately. Haven’t checked on Mio. How’s she doing?”
“Same as always. She’s fine. Lin keeps clinging to Sirin, but otherwise, it’s peaceful.”
“Sounds like me. Oh—and can I ask you one more favor?”
“Sure, as long as you don’t keep bugging my mom. She might start making demands.”
“Got it. I want to study the Nether Fruit. That thing is seriously strange.”
“Strange how?”
“For example, Noke’er. A normal person eats that thing and instantly gets 180x stronger. Wouldn’t that overload their body? From what I know, gaining that much power at once should destroy you. And 180x goes far beyond multiple limits for an ordinary person.”
“This part is easy, because the Underworld Fruit absorbs the essence of the Underworld, allowing it to ignore those burdens. Plus, although it greatly enhances abilities, the time between doses is long, so eating more won’t help unless the time is right to take another.”
“Then why are the gods in this world so weak? Why aren’t they all as strong as you?”
“Lower- and mid-tier gods usually can’t get their hands on this stuff. And my damn old man isn’t interested in gaining power this way—he’d rather cultivate it himself.”
“Fair enough. By the way, I remember when Xiao An first met you, you could freeze her in place. Could you freeze me?”
“You wanna try? I can even freeze Elu with full power—for 30 seconds.”
“Alright, I’ll give it a try. Can you go all out?”
“Sure.”
Then Anyue pressed the pause button on the game and stood in front of Rin, glaring.
“Okay, now try moving!”
But Rin wasn’t affected at all—she just patted Anyue’s head.
“I felt a little snap, but that’s it.”
“That’s weird. Try jumping twice.”
Then Rin jumped in place twice, and Anyue was stunned.
“Wait… Your power isn’t way beyond me and Elu, right?! This freeze spell scales with the opponent’s strength.”
“Take a guess?”
“No thanks. Anyway, how about coming with me to the Underworld?”
“Alright.”
Then Anyue used a special movement technique and brought them to the soul management area of the Underworld.
Just then, a skeleton walked over.
“Lady Anyue, long time no see. Is this person beside you a friend of yours?”
“Of course. My friend’s here to resurrect someone, so don’t waste time talking—I hate that.”
“But your father forbade you from breaking rules. Even though reviving a friend is one thing, doing other stuff—”
“Shut up!”
Anyue stomped the ground hard, cracking it completely around her.
“Forbidden? You think you can forbid me? Wanna get beat up? Even now, I’m stronger than that damn father of mine—who can stop me?!”
Rin found it amusing.
(This aura is just like a spoiled rich girl.)
“That’s not what I meant, but we have to follow your father’s orders.”
“Whatever. Rin, come with me.”
Once inside the room, Rin saw lots of glowing spheres the size of ping pong balls. Anyue went to a corner, picked one up, and said:
“Is this the race you were talking about?”
Then the sphere projected a ton of faces, and Rin immediately spotted the guy she ripped apart.
“There he is, fifth row, seventh one.”
“Alright, wait here—I’ll go into the space and check.”
Then Anyue turned into light particles and was absorbed into the sphere.
Two minutes later, she came out with a black-haired girl about 16 years old in a black nun outfit. When the girl saw Rin, she sighed.
“My lady, did I mess up again and now Eléa sent you to punish me?”
“As long as you don’t oppose her, you’ll be fine. By the way, how’s the space sphere my mom made? Comfy?”
“Anyue, what’s a space sphere?”
“Simply put, it’s a small space inside. There are houses, lots of tasty food, you can watch anime, play games—made for really good people. But if you mess up, there are punishments too.”
Then the girl walked up to Rin and sniffed her face.
“You smell like my little sister. Did you break her mentally?”
“I let her go a long time ago, and now she’s even willing to make up with me.”
“Wait, your personality changed?”
“At least now I have boundaries and a bit of humanity. Plus, you two are super cute—hugging you feels kinda nice.”
“She really is my sister. Not consumed by hatred. By the way, how’s my home planet?”
“Most humans were killed by demi-humans, but a few survived. I’m actually here to bring you back to your sister—to be with her.”
“As expected. Even when you tore me apart, I knew the demi-humans were planning something like this. Sadly, we sisters had strong will but weak power.”
“Exactly. But you’re standing this close to me—aren’t you afraid I’ll rip you again?”
“I don’t think you would now. You don’t have that bloodlust anymore. Honestly, if I hadn’t fought you back then, maybe you’d have just beaten me a little and that’d be it.”
“Let’s not talk about the past. Want to make peace with me?”
“As long as you don’t kill innocent people, do whatever you want. We sisters hate things like that—especially war and violence.”
“You two really are alike. Your sister said the same thing—just don’t kill innocents.”
Anyue laughed.
“This is getting fun. Rin, shall we head back?”
“Sure. Nothing to do here anyway. By the way, what’s your name again, big sister of Nai? I don’t really remember you.”
“Yuki. As in snowfall.”
“No wonder your sister changed her name to Chiyuki.”
“She told me that name long ago…”
“Alright, let’s head back. I still have a game stream to catch later.”
“Okay!”
Then they returned to the original house using teleportation. But Yuki’s clothes vanished, and Anyue gave her a black dress.
“Black hair and eyes—goes perfect with a black dress.”
“Thank you, my lady!”
“Rin, you take Yuki to eat something, then take her to see her sister.”
“Okay.”
But right outside the room, Rin bumped into Yue Ling.
“Good evening. I was just about to sleep. Who’s that with you?”
“Hello, I’m Yuki—an old friend of Eleya’s.”
“An old friend, huh? You’re really cute. By the way, Rin, I have good news!”
“Good news?”
Yue Ling’s eyes suddenly turned red, emitting the same dark aura as Rin.
“How’s this?”
“How did you do that?”
“According to Xiao An, after you left me, some of your leftover energy fused with me. But it only made me about three times stronger. This aura doesn’t have any real power—just chills people. But I can turn energy into weapons, like Zamasu’s energy scythe in Dragon Ball Super.”
“Sounds pretty cool.”
“But I’ll only use this form during battle. For daily life, like now, it drains energy too fast.”
Then Yue Ling’s eyes returned to normal.
“I see. What about little Ling?”
“Same strength as always. By the way, with that cute girl look of yours, mind if I give you a full-body massage?”
Yue Ling grinned mischievously.
“Nope. Go take your gray fantasies elsewhere. And isn’t that habit passed down from little Ling?”
(Thinking back to massaging the Queen… yeah, that alone made this life worth it.)
“Well, we are technically the same person. Anyway, I’m off to bed.”
“Alright.”
Outside, Yuki seemed quite happy.
“You’re so kind now. I never could’ve imagined it before.”
“No one could. Back then, even I scared myself.”
“But I’m really happy! With your strength turning good, you can really help a lot of people.”
“No thanks. I only serve my Queen.”
“What’s your Queen’s name? What does she look like?”
“Her name is Xilin. She has purple hair and golden eyes, looks about 13 or 14 years old.”
“Can I meet her someday?”
“Sure. After we eat, I’ll take you to your sister. Want some beef ramen?”
“Absolutely! After we eat, let’s go see my sister. Then tomorrow morning, let’s head into the city and investigate what’s going on with the demi-humans?”
“Why not just take out their leader? With my power, it’d be easy.”
“My sister’s kind of a fool. If we don’t investigate first, we might cause a misunderstanding. Also, if they have kids, we should consider their feelings.”
“Are you two saints or something? Everything you say is so righteous.”
“It’s our nature. Besides, I don’t even hate you that much—just a little psychological trauma.”
“Sigh. If it were me, I’d hate you to death. But with personalities like yours, you two are gonna suffer sooner or later.”
“It’s okay. Since we chose the path of kindness, we’ll stick with it. But what do you think?”
“I have my own rules even as a villain. Evil is the nature of life—greed, envy, hatred… they’re all basic instincts. Evil is the default. Kindness is just one possible path.”
“Let’s drop that for now. By the way, is the restaurant far from here?”
“Not far, so I better hurry up and take you to eat.”
After arriving at a beef noodle shop, Xue looked around.
“Feels just like the shops in our city—and this city too.”
“Hey, waiter, get a large bowl of beef ramen for my friend here, and grab a bottle of cola for each of us.”
“Sure, please wait a moment.”
A little while later, the waiter brought the noodles. Xue took a bite and found it delicious.
“This soup and these noodles are really good!”
Then she took a sip of the cola and jumped in surprise.
“This tastes even better!”
“Keep your voice down while eating, don’t disturb the other customers.”
“Sorry. But aren’t you eating noodles too?”
“I already ate a lot today. Even though I’ve got a bottomless stomach, I don’t feel like eating more. But drinks are still fine.”
“Looks like you’re living quite a good life.”
Rin also felt that life was indeed good—no troubles, just spending time with the Queen he adored.
“Pretty much. I’ll pack a bowl of noodles for your little sister later too.”
“You’re so thoughtful.”
But just then, Rin’s phone rang. Even though his appearance had changed, all the items in his pockets were still there.
“Hello?”
“It’s me, Xiaofeng. I’m using magic to communicate with you!”
“What’s up?”
“I wanted to ask, do you guys feel sleepy after eating good food?”
“Now that you mention it, my Queen and Nokel did take a nap.”
“What about you?”
“I’m fine, but… how did you know?”
“Sorry, but the food you ate had a special kind of alcoholic ingredient. You can’t taste the alcohol, but it makes people drowsy.”
“So you recommend I go buy some freshly brewed coffee?”
“Of course you can. But in about an hour, can you also bring me some extra cola?”
“Sure. By the way, about that sealing spell you used on me—I managed to copy it. Why does it need special energy to activate?”
“What? You copied it?!”
“Because when a move hits me, my body automatically analyzes and replicates it. But since yours requires special energy, I couldn’t activate it with normal energy.”
“So I’ve been tricked. And now your power is nearly equal to mine. You’re not going to do anything bad, right?”
“The idea of destroying the world is obviously out. But conquering the world—well, that depends entirely on my Queen.”
“That’s good to hear! After all, if everything is destroyed, nothing’s left. Conquering still keeps balance.”
“Let’s not talk about that now. Besides cola, do you want anything else?”
“If there are any good snacks, bring them too. Also, Alice is kind of having an existential crisis—she was shocked seeing you at full power. Honestly, so was I.”
“Heh. If you don’t want me to surpass you, better go train! By the way, can you teach me how to make these long-distance calls? I want to learn.”
“It’s in the magic book I gave you guys—this is one of the most basic spells. Don’t tell me you didn’t read it?”
“I gave it to Xiao Ming. Plus, my own abilities are pretty versatile, so I didn’t bother with low-level spells.”
“But there are many useful daily abilities you should still learn. For example, can you resurrect the dead?”
“Uhh…”
“Then what about being immortal?”
“There’s immortality too?!”
“Yup. I wrote down some original stuff in the book. The rest are royal family spells. I only wrote one volume myself.”
“Respect! You’re like the person who created all the isekai worlds.”
“Not that exaggerated—but yes, there really was someone who created all the isekai worlds, including yours and mine.”
“So that person’s even more powerful than you? Wait… do you know them?”
“Just compare me to a normal baby from your world, and that person to a god—you’ll understand the difference between our levels.”
“That person is a monster?”
“Heh heh. Earlier, you asked if I know them—yes, I do. They visited me four hours before you guys arrived.”
Rin immediately felt uncomfortable—he missed a chance to challenge a strong opponent.
“Is it a man or woman? What do they look like? Handsome? Cute? What’s their personality like?…”
“Don’t ask so many things at once. It’s a girl. But sometimes she’s a bit H—gives me a headache.”
“So when is she coming again? Can I fight her?”
“She likes children—just like Alice. But she also enjoys fair fights. For example, if I have a certain amount of power, she matches it exactly. Whether I win or not depends on technique. Like in hand-to-hand combat—no magic, just skill. Even her defense and stamina would match mine.”
“Have you ever won?”
“Many times. Just use a few tricks. She mirrors her opponent exactly, and her perception changes accordingly. Otherwise, when she’s serious, even my full strength feels like I’m frozen in her eyes. I can speed up my thoughts too—but it’s useless.”
“Even if I use mind reading to predict moves, if I can’t keep up physically, I still can’t dodge. Meaningless.”
“Exactly. Alright, I’ll stop talking now—hanging up.”
“Wait! What’s her name? I want to ask the gods to investigate her.”
“Problem is, in your world’s power scale, she probably doesn’t even register. Her name is Rinne Kaslana.”
“No way—Kaslana?!”
“Is there a problem? The Kaslana surname exists in many worlds—and there are lots of them.”
“If you’ve played certain games, you’d understand. Next time you visit our world, I’ll recommend some to you.”
“Okay.”
After hanging up, Rin covered his face.
“The strongest being in the world… Xue, you heard all that too, right?”
“I did. We have excellent hearing, after all. But ‘Kaslana’ really is a nice-sounding name.”
“Rinne… Why does that name remind me of that magical girl from Nanoha?”
“Magical girl?”
“A character from anime. I’ve got to tell Lier and Anyame about this. They’re gods—maybe they’ll have advice.”
“Are you thinking of fighting her?”
“There’s almost no one who can make me go all out. Now someone from the top just showed up—how can I not be excited?”
“Battle maniac.”
“Yeah. But I shouldn’t get my hopes up. She probably has nothing to do with me—at least for now.”
(I’ll still rely on Xiao An to get a bunch of abilities. Maybe then I can stand a chance. But if my power’s not enough, I won’t even be able to scratch her. That’s the real issue.)
“Some things aren’t worth thinking about. I better finish eating and get moving!”
After finishing her food, Xue was taken by Rin to an isolated spot, then teleported instantly to Qianxue. But Rin looked around and saw only an empty cave.
As soon as Qianxue saw Xue, she ran up and hugged her.
“Sis, I missed you so much!”
Xue comforted her while patting her back.
“I’m back now. Eleia already told me what’s been happening.”
“But Sis, trying to change the entire planet now seems impossible—there are just too many people.”
“Don’t worry. Even though the lifespan of demi-humans and humans on this planet is under 50 years, no one but us two knows about Eleia. And Elaina can descend in the name of God to end the tyranny!”
But Rin felt something was off.
“Weren’t we supposed to investigate first?”
“Both are important. Xue, do you still have your combat power?”
“Right now, I can only take down a bear at full strength.”
Xue sighed.
“Looks like I have to retrain you. Also, are you living in this cave now?”
“Pretty much. Good thing our kind doesn’t need food or water. Otherwise, I’d be dead already.”
Rin felt weird that the sisters immediately got into serious talk after reuniting.
“Qianxue! I’ll just head straight to the capital. Tell me the location. I’ll release my dark energy to turn the entire sky red, radiate massive evil energy, and make every living being feel fear. Then I’ll descend as a god.”
“No way!”
Xue immediately objected.
“Isn’t that the fastest method?”
“What if someone doesn’t believe you and attacks? What if it’s just an ordinary soldier who hasn’t done anything wrong, and you kill him outright? That feels a bit much, doesn’t it?”
“You’ve got to be kidding me. Still thinking about enemy soldiers? Haven’t you heard—mercy to enemies is cruelty to yourself?”
“Then weren’t we enemies before? And you let me live again.”
“That’s different. Don’t compare the emotionless me from back then with the current me. I was just a machine for destruction and killing.”
“Really? But didn’t you also spare my sister back then?”
“That was a moment of impulse. I admired your willpower. But there’s no point discussing that now.”
“Then can you promise me to follow your plan and not kill anyone?”
“I beg you too.”
Rin showed a helpless expression.
“Fine! But when it’s time to act, I’ll still act. I’m saying this upfront so I don’t make the same mistake as Her Majesty.”
“Okay! So what’s your line?”
“Very simple: ‘Lowly beings dare to commit such atrocities! I, the king of gods, descend upon this planet to stop this madness!’”
“Chuunibyou?”
“Not at all! It’s because you two sisters are way too saintly—I can’t carry out things my own way.”
“Sorry! But my sister and I will be watching from the side.”
“Alright, I’m starting. Tell me the location now.”
Two minutes later, the sky across the entire planet turned red, and massive red lightning filled the sky. Every lifeform on the planet, including the two holy sisters, was struck with a sense of primal fear.
Floating above a gray castle, Rin used her power so that everyone on the planet could hear her voice.
“Foolish, lowly ruler! Hurry up and come meet this god!”
At that moment, many people flew into the sky from the castle. A blond man in black and white armor pointed a sword at Rin!
“Who are you to speak like that here!?”
“Hmph! I am Eleia, chief of the gods! I heard there has been human slaughter on this planet, so I’ve come to put a stop to this foolish violence!”
All the soldiers instantly felt an intense chill and were frozen in place—not from fear, but due to a combination of the Herrscher of Ice’s power and malevolent aura.
(This guy’s voice sounds a lot like Otto… Aside from the blue eyes, even his hairstyle is similar.)
“Hahahahaha! Do you think I’ll believe such a cheap lie? Before you die, remember my name—Rohai, ruler of this planet!”
“How arrogant. Looks like I need to teach you a lesson.”
“You? Don’t make me laugh—ARGHHHH!”
Rohai’s left leg suddenly snapped into several pieces mid-sentence, yet Rin hadn’t moved at all.
“…Grr, all of you! Attack!!! A hundred million reward for whoever brings me her head!”
A flood of people rushed out of the castle—at least 8,000 strong—all charging with iron swords.
Rin let out a sigh.
“Forget those sisters. I’ll just handle this myself.”
Her gaze changed. A glowing energy scythe appeared in her hand. She unleashed the full power once wielded by Eleia—but to Rin now, it was just a fraction of her strength.
She charged into the crowd. After just a few swings, several people were reduced to pieces.
Watching from afar, Xue shook her head.
“Didn’t we agree not to kill people? Can you stop her?”
“How could I? With that kind of combat ability? And why is it suddenly so cold?”
“I don’t know. Wait—maybe I can contact the master. We met a few times before, and she taught me a telepathic trick.”
“Then try it, sister.”
By now, blood was raining from the sky. Many soldiers wanted to flee after seeing Rin’s terrifying power, but Rohai used his army’s size to retreat back to the castle.
He then took out a black sword with a dragon pattern.
“Hahahaha! Accept your punishment, foolish human! I am the embodiment of the Abyss!”
Rin seemed to be enjoying herself. Rohai charged into the sky wielding the sword.
“You forced my hand! Unleash—Heavenly Dragon Blade!”
Lightning burst from the sword, but Rin just grinned wickedly.
“Lowly creature.”
“Oh? Pretty confident, huh? Do you even know the origin of this weapon?”
“To me, it’s just scrap metal. You really think junk like that can defeat a god like me?”
“Don’t get cocky! Die!!!”
Rohai swung the sword at her neck with full force! But—
“What!?”
He realized the strike had no effect. He stood stunned.
The sword contained the full elemental powers of wind, ice, water, fire, and lightning.
Rin grabbed the sword, and with a light squeeze—it shattered.
A nearby soldier tried to throw a spear at her but found his limbs broken instantly, crying out in pain.
Rin glanced in that direction and said coldly, “Utterly foolish.”
Rohai instantly retreated over 10 meters.
“Everyone be alert! She’s extremely fast—I caught a glimpse of her movement just now. You—”
Before he could finish, Rin rushed in and grabbed his hair.
“Let me ask you something. Why are you slaughtering humans?”
“Why would a god help humans? Humans are the real villains. What did we do wrong?”
“From what I know, humans have large populations. Why have so many been wiped out? Besides, you all look human too.”
“Shut up! You know nothing! It’s a territory issue, understand?”
“One more question—do you think you’ll survive today?”
All the soldiers were struck with fear.
At that moment, a red-haired girl who looked around 17 flew over to Rin.
“Goddess, please spare us! I’m willing to offer my life as proof—it’s not what you think!”
“Then why are humans nearly extinct? Don’t tell me you even…”
“That was a mistake by the leader. Please, forgive us.”
“No way!”
Rin grabbed the girl’s clothes and threw her aside. Suddenly, soldiers carrying spears appeared in the sky.
They were all young women, wearing half-armor—seemingly Earth humans aged 16 to 20.
“Ruler, are you really sending more people to die?”
“You’re finished! That’s our strongest Dragon Witches unit—at least 60,000 strong!”
“That’s it? Well, since they’re all women, let’s have some fun.”
(They’re all pretty cute. But if I don’t kill the leader, there’s no deterrent… Who is the captain anyway? Maybe I’ll take some out to make a point.)
Just as Rin moved, the red-haired girl grabbed her and pointed to one witch.
“Please spare the red-haired one on the right. She was forced into this.”
Rin brushed her off.
“Why should I show mercy to the enemy? Sending you all off would be kinder.”
Those words struck fear into everyone.
She suddenly charged the army. All their spears released lightning at her—completely ineffective.
Rin saw the red-haired girl and pointed her scythe.
“If any of you want to live, then run. Otherwise, stay still and prepare for blood rain.”
One impatient witch threw a spear at Rin. She glanced at it—both the spear and the girl’s armor turned to dust.
She left the underwear intact on purpose and, noticing the figure, had a brief impure thought.
“The one who attacked me! Do you want to live?”
The girl, now covering her chest in shame, was trembling in fear.
To live, she’d have to betray her side. But neither choice guaranteed survival.
Just then, a silver-haired girl—about Rin’s age—flew in alone. Her eyes were crimson like dragons.
“I’m the leader of this unit. Thank you for not killing my team right away, Miss Eleia!”
“Do we know each other?”
“When you tore Xue apart back then, I was watching from afar. Your terrifying power—no one on this planet can match you. Xue and I are from the same race, but I’m a hybrid from another world. Also, before you came, I met Qianxue and heard about you.”
“I see. So what now? Everyone go home? Honestly, with this many cute girls… maybe I should take a few home as maids.”
“If I become your maid, will you spare all of them?”
“Sure. But what about your ruler? Massacring humans—while I’ve done it too, I was a different person then.”
“Do as you please. You’re far above him anyway.”
Her words shocked the entire army.
“Captain, are you serious?”
“Yes. I know her. She’s truly a god. Cruel, yes—but if you don’t provoke her, you’ll be fine. Trust me.”
“Smart. Now let me ask one more thing—can I… hmm?”
Rin suddenly turned—an asp was biting her leg, but it couldn’t pierce her flesh.
“What a childish trick from that ruler.”
“Geez.”
Rin grabbed the snake, snapped it in two, and threw it aside.
“I’m going back to deal with that guy. I’m not in the mood to play anymore. You don’t mind if I wipe them out, right?”
“Please don’t. At least spare the redhead who spoke to you. She’s pitiful. Some were forced into this. After you defeat him, I’ll tell you everything I know.”
“Fine.”
Rin flew back. Her glowing energy scythe terrified everyone.
“Hey, ruler. Want your people to survive? Then stop persecuting the remaining humans!”
“You’re a god—why help them? This world is all about survival of the fittest.”
“I agree! Because that’s what I enjoy.”
“So you admit—”
“You’re overthinking it. Now are you going to stop or not?”
“As if! In your dreams!”
