After sending the voice message, Luo You took Xue to the busiest spot in Jiuming Sea.
The Ice Sculpture Plaza.
Conveniently, it was right near Liyun’s home—an ideal stage.
Xue was still stuffed inside the suitcase.
Amidst the crowds, Luo You sat down on a bench, waiting in the freezing wind for big sister’s revenge.
Hopefully, her flames of vengeance would be warm enough to reach her.
After all, conquering a magical girl who carried the burden of revenge—that was accomplishment of the highest order.
A melon twisted off by force tastes the sweetest.
Luo You wasn’t afraid Liyun might miss her.
To make sure she was spotted at a glance, she’d gone out of her way to dress eye-catchingly.
If Liyun was truly burning with revenge, she would definitely notice.
“Whew… so cold. Where’s big sister hiding? Come on, hurry up, I can’t wait anymore~~”
Her sock-covered little feet swung back and forth in excitement, toes curling tight against the insoles from the chill.
“…Elera?”
Ha! Big sister had arrived!
Luo You turned, delighted—only for the little face under her mask to stiffen.
The figures before her weren’t Liyun.
They were Zhou Xi and Ji Yue.
In their ordinary civilian forms, not transformed as magical girls.
“Who are you?” Luo You asked.
Whenever she ran into magical girls she had once bedded, she liked to start by pretending not to know them.
The effect was instant irritation.
“Uh—!”
Zhou Xi let out a disbelieving sound.
They’d slept together barely half a month ago—had she really forgotten already?!
Did this woman even have a heart?
Luckily, Luo You followed up with, “Her I know. But you—who are you?”
The barb was aimed directly at Ji Yue.
“…”
Ji Yue was silent for two seconds, her fists clenching and loosening, betraying her inner turmoil.
She had said so much at the hot spring—about striking back, about rallying all the magical girls, even proposing the insane plan of poisoning her own body to take Elera down.
But now, actually standing before her, her mind was a chaotic mess, unable to hold onto a single thought.
“And you dare stroll around in the open like this. After doing so many unspeakable things, aren’t you afraid the whole world might descend on you at once?” Ji Yue forced her voice low, striving to sound calm.
“So what if I stroll in the open? It’s not like you can do anything about me.”
Luo You spoke with a lollipop between her teeth, arrogant and infuriating, making one want to rip the candy out and piston it back and forth in her mouth a hundred times.
The air grew taut in an instant, both sides weighed down with unspoken thoughts.
[But Lord Xingyue said she defected from the Outsider Organization. Yet not long ago she wiped out the entire Special Action Division at the Sea of Realms and helped the Outsiders escape. Did Lord Xingyue misjudge her?]
Ji Yue glanced at her clothes—obviously chosen with care.
And coupled with the rumor that Elera had a daughter, it was hard not to assume she’d come here on a date.
The thought made Ji Yue’s blood boil.
She said with bitter sarcasm, “So I hear you have a daughter now? Truly carefree. Just erase the past like it never happened—more transcendent than an immortal.”
“…Such heavy resentment!” Luo You blurted without thinking.
“You—!”
Ji Yue’s temples nearly burst with rage.
Heh. Luo You smirked in triumph.
This bitter grudge woman was the one who had suggested poisoning her own body as a way to counter-hunt.
So annoying.
She was going to break this one eventually—thoroughly—until Ji Yue never dared dream up such venomous schemes again.
And now that the blood-ties between Ji Yue and Luo Zining were clarified, the last barrier of restraint was gone.
Everyone knew magical girls had their “transformed” and “civilian” states.
Nearly all of the ones Luo You had bedded were in transformed form.
Transformed Ji Yue looked good, yes, but ultimately came across like a green young girl—not her beloved “big sister” type.
But Ji Yue untransformed—her figure, her aura—this was rich with flavor.
Like a glass of aged red wine, deepening with every sip.
The perfect big sister type, indeed.
Predatory light flickered in Luo You’s eyes.
“You recognize me. So you’re one of those magical girls who’s had a delightful encounter with me before, hm? What’s this—do you want to be pampered by me again?”
“—!”
Wind nearly exploded around Ji Yue’s body, invisible currents rushing to break free—until Zhou Xi held her back in time.
“Ji Yue, calm down! She’s deliberately trying to provoke you. If you give her an excuse to ‘hunt’ you, you’ll lose. Do not give her that chance!” Zhou Xi whispered firmly.
Unlike Ji Yue, she wasn’t so easily rattled.
Perhaps being freshly “soothed” once before left her steadier.
“Oh? So not?”
Luo You tilted her head, full of taunt.
“I thought you were here for revenge. Turns out you’re just here to show your faces.”
She tipped her chin proudly and teased, “Ya~~ My body’s so cold right now. And here I was, hoping big sister’s flames of revenge could warm me up.”
That line even tested Zhou Xi’s composure.
“Don’t go too far!” Zhou Xi snapped coldly.
But the two of them were also more certain than ever.
She must have some restriction on her position right now.
She couldn’t move openly against magical girls, so she was baiting them instead.
Soon, Luo You dropped her bratty swagger, waving dismissively.
“Hmph. Forget it. If you don’t even have the guts for revenge, then I’m not interested. Lucky for you, magical girls bore me these days. Off with you, back where you belong.”
A lie.
Her left hand, hidden in her pocket, was already twitching in a grotesque rhythm.
Tonight’s time was reserved for Liyun.
Then she’d bring in Xingyu and enjoy a full “sister-bowl.”
Only after helping Liyun transform again would the other magical girls get their turn at her mercy.
No need to rush.
Big sisters longing for revenge would always come.
Opportunities aplenty—slow and steady.
Luo You stood to leave.
“Elera! What’s your purpose in showing up here?!” Ji Yue called after her.
“None of your business. Nyeh~~”
Luo You stuck out her soft pink tongue, taunting.
Anyone watching would itch to teach her a lesson.
And then—
“Puwaa!”
From her suitcase suddenly popped a little figure, stunning both Ji Yue and Zhou Xi.
“The scent’s getting stronger! Something’s coming!” Xue shouted up at her.
“You idiot!” Luo You smacked her back down, forcing her into the case again.
“She is—!?”
Zhou Xi’s pupils widened in shock.
Was this Elera’s daughter?
Had she really birthed a child?
Ji Yue too was shaken—her heart rocked harder than it had in years.
[Then was I wrong to suspect that Luo Youyou was Elera?]
But then—
She stared again at the child’s face.
“…Strange. Where have I seen her before…” she muttered.
The impression was vague, fleeting, just out of reach.
Had she once met the person Elera supposedly married and had a child with?
