Sui Ming was now holding a Barrett sniper rifle.
Although it wasn’t equipped with a scope, at this distance, he didn’t need one.
He was probably the only person who could use a Barrett like an assault rifle.
“So… is this your answer?” The Hanged Man asked, black blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
“What else? I’m an ally of justice.”
Bang!
Another bullet burst from the barrel, flying straight toward The Hanged Man.
But just in the nick of time, an azure chain descended from the sky, blocking the shot for him.
“Kill him,” The Hanged Man commanded.
Immediately, Bai Luoxia’s body lunged toward Sui Ming like a puppet.
“Playing this kill-each-other game again… I’m really getting tired of it!”
[Inch Strike—Absurdity!]
Sui Ming thrust out his palm with force.
His immense will materialized, transcending the physical realm and causing the young woman’s figure to waver for a moment.
Seizing that split second, a spark ignited, and another bullet was fired!
The azure bullet accurately struck The Hanged Man.
The curse of the deep sea instantly corroded his body like a ferocious beast.
This curse, a non-physical form of damage, was the most fatal to him.
“You… are starting to annoy me.”
The man waved his hand, and the tide of flesh churned once more.
The stage was instantly reset, and the curtain made of blood slowly drew open.
“I will treasure your soul…” The Hanged Man chuckled sinisterly.
But seeing his opponent’s actions, a smile spread across Sui Ming’s face.
He knew his taunt had finally succeeded.
As the stage reset, the play began, and all the despair started to replay.
However, Sui Ming made no attempt to dodge this scene.
Instead, he quietly waited for the tide to engulf him.
“Is he… committing suicide?”
Suddenly, The Hanged Man seemed to realize something was wrong.
He hastily tried to stop the play, but it was too late.
“Thanks, buddy. I was wondering how to get in here, and you just went and sent me in yourself.”
The tide washed over Sui Ming’s head, and then the scene changed, just as before.
Scenes of the past echoed in Sui Ming’s vision, but whether it was the lonely life of his previous world or the solitary, bloodstained journey, he remained unmoved.
He had long since made peace with the calamities of his past.
At this moment, nothing could sway his mind.
Perhaps even The Hanged Man hadn’t anticipated the existence of someone who had lived two lives.
“Now, let’s see where our Miss Sleeping Beauty is.”
Countless colorful bubbles floated around him.
It didn’t take a genius to know that these were the souls of all the victims.
And in the distance, a bubble unlike the others existed, shining brilliantly like a star hanging in the bright sky.
“That must be it.”
Sui Ming looked at the pale blue bubble floating in the air and slowly reached out his hand
In Sui Ming’s eyes, the surrounding scene began to crumble.
A crack of light tore through the darkness, and a dazzling brilliance filled his vision.
“This place is…”
Sui Ming looked around. The scenery seemed somewhat familiar.
The white stone walls, and the magnificent, grand palace.
“This is… what Mingxi City originally looked like?”
After witnessing the terrifying destructive power of that black tide, Sui Ming’s memory of the original Mingxi City had faded.
But… now that he was here, what was he supposed to do?
He had no experience in this area.
“First, I’ll find Bai Luoxia.”
On the other side of the battlefield—
“Hey! House Heracles! Are you holding up or not!” Lecter roared, then cut down an abyssal creature with a single slash.
“I think you’re the one who’s not holding up, Fenrir!” Ral, controlling the alchemical armor, raised his hand again.
A concentrated mana crystal converted energy behind him, and a bright beam of light pierced through countless attacking enemies.
These mere [Mortal Dust] level abyssal creatures were no match for the two of them now.
They could only serve to drain some of their stamina.
Just as Ral was about to relax, a flash of emerald green light shot towards him!
Even Lecter didn’t notice the attack.
With a tearing sound, one of the alchemical armor’s arms had vanished.
Warning, warning. Armor integrity compromised. Armor integrity compromised! The cold, mechanical voice suddenly sounded.
“Lecter, be careful!” Ral raised his remaining right hand, and an alchemical array suddenly appeared.
[Mana Tracking—Activated]
[Inferno!]
A powerful torrent of flames erupted, covering the area in front of them and rushing toward the green phantom.
The figure showed no reaction to the flood of flames, standing frozen as if nothing had happened.
The flames swept past, but the figure remained standing.
“Looks like this one isn’t simple either.”
In an instant, Lecter’s figure appeared behind it.
He raised his greatsword with both hands and brought it down!
Dust filled the air as the entire floor was shattered.
But in Lecter’s vision, the razor-sharp greatsword passed right through the man’s body.
Then, the body twisted in a bizarre way, and a heavy punch landed on Lecter’s waist, sending him flying.
Slowly sitting up from the rubble, Lecter felt a sharp pain.
“This guy… he’s even stronger than last time.”
Taking advantage of Harry’s inattention, the alchemical armor’s giant fist slammed into his face.
He took the full force of the blow with his body.
“It worked!” Ral exclaimed.
But there was no knockdown as he expected.
Harry’s body twisted bizarrely once again, seemingly gathering all the kinetic energy into one point.
“Not good! Ral, get out of the armor!”
It was too late.
Carrying the kinetic energy from the armor, Harry’s fist smashed solidly against it.
The resulting boom shook the heavens and the earth.
“The limits of alchemical armor go far beyond this!”
Initiating self-destruct sequence. Please prepare for evacuation.
“Enjoy this gift! You lackey of the Abyss!”
BOOM!!!
The courtyard they were in was instantly turned to ashes.
Ral’s body was ejected at the last moment, escaping the blast radius.
After seeing Lecter had also escaped from a short distance away, Ral finally breathed a sigh of relief.
“He should be dead this time, right? There’s no way he could have survived that.”
“Hah… hah… I hope so,” Lecter panted.
The smoke gradually cleared, revealing a giant crater created by the explosion, and a large, bizarre phantom.
It stood about three meters tall.
Its mutated head and limbs made it hard to believe it was once human.
A lizard-like tail drooped to the ground, and horns similar to a dragon’s grew from its head, looking utterly grotesque.
“Revenge… Revenge! Slaughter!” the monster roared.
