Dedicated to the Earth

Chapter 111,155 words10 min read

Within the Demon Clan’s seal site, the officer hummed a carefree tune,

only to suddenly furrow his brows.

“Those two useless idiots should’ve dealt with that strange kid by now…”

He muttered to himself, recalling the incident from earlier.

Lately, every time he thought of the odd youth who had appeared in his sealed territory, an uneasy feeling gnawed at him.

He remembered—the tag on that kid’s clothes said something like “United Nations… Bai Ci.”

Did burying him alive go too far?

The officer began to regret it.

“No, no…”

He couldn’t allow such mistakes again.

Slamming his hand on the desk, he barked toward the door:

“Where’s my adjutant?! Get in here!”

The door creaked open cautiously. A man hurried in, head bowed.

“Sir, you called?”

“Hmm.”

“For the next few days, make sure those worthless underlings actually work.”
“Pass down my order—double patrols starting tonight.”
“And every single corner—check it three times.”
“If another weirdo like last time shows up… just go ahead and resign.”

The officer spoke calmly, almost leisurely.

Hearing this, the adjutant clenched his teeth in silence,

but forced a sycophantic smile onto his face:

“Yes, sir! I’ll relay the order immediately. It won’t happen again, I swear…”

“Good. Dismissed.”

The officer waved a hand.

The adjutant left obediently, quietly closing the door behind him—then his expression darkened instantly.

“That fat bastard… does nothing but eat and drink all day. The second something goes wrong, he dumps it all on us…”

Before leaving, he spat into the crack of the door.

“Adjutant, got yelled at again?”

A patrolling soldier in the hallway, seeing the adjutant’s grim look, asked timidly.

“Shut up! You think you’re smart?”

The adjutant glared viciously.

“Tonight, tell your squad—no one sleeps. Patrol the seal site.”

He waved irritably.

“I’m taking a nap. Don’t bother me unless it’s urgent.”

The soldier hesitated:

“But…”

“Who’s in charge here—you or me?”

Seeing defiance, the adjutant grabbed the soldier’s collar in a flash.

“Don’t forget—here, you have no right to speak!”
“Obey my orders without question. Got it?”

The soldier nodded frantically.

Satisfied, the adjutant sneered and turned away,

marching back to his room.

“What seal? What demon? Hundreds of years of peace, and that fat fool still acts like it’s about to collapse any second…”

After slamming the door shut, he collapsed onto his bed—and was snoring within minutes.

Meanwhile, high above the seal site where Garuda was imprisoned, two figures hovered among the clouds.

It was Xiya and Bai Ci—come to destroy the seal.

“This is where Garuda is sealed?” Bai Ci looked down at the sprawling military camp below.

So close…

He was surprised. He’d expected a long journey, yet they’d arrived in mere moments.

Xiya’s lavender hair danced in the wind as she narrowed her eyes:

“How does it feel? Familiar?”

Bai Ci shook his head. “Not exactly… just a strange sensation.”

Is this place really the target?

The “door” between worlds—the seal of Garuda—spoken of by the doctor.

Xiya let out a soft laugh:

“So… are you ready to join me?”
“To destroy it all?”

She turned to Bai Ci, her gaze shimmering with something unreadable.

Bai Ci didn’t answer immediately.

Instead, he looked toward the horizon, where lights flickered to life in the distance.

For a moment, he saw the streets of Earth—familiar, lost.

The evening breeze carried a faint chime, like a final countdown for this land.

“Of course. After all, it was my request. If I don’t act myself, wouldn’t that be disrespectful?”

“Let me see what the world looks like after a Demon Lord walks upon it.”

Bai Ci said.

Hearing this, Xiya leaned close to his ear, her warm breath brushing his cheek:

“Releasing that thing into this world… you might die, you know.”
“Are you sure?”

Bai Ci met her eyes, so close their reflections overlapped.

In another girl’s eyes, he’d once seen this same image of himself.

“I fear more losing what I hold dear than I do my own death.”

“You’re showing off again…” Xiya sighed, half-exasperated.

“But whatever comes next… it’s going to be interesting.”

She stepped back, spreading her arms wide.

“Then let’s begin.”

The air churned. Xiya’s purple aura and Bai Ci’s black mist surged across the sky.

Purple energy flooded like a tide. Black fog writhed like thousands of serpents, devouring the last light in the heavens.

At the moment their powers merged, the sky let out a terrified groan—its final cry before being swallowed.

The God of Annihilation and the world’s last unsealed Demon Lord converged in perfect harmony—

a force powerful enough to shake the entire continent.

Across Nuo’er Continent, every race—dragons, elves, beastfolk, humans—all felt it simultaneously:

An omen of doom.

The Yundu Empire plunged into utter panic.

Inside the imperial palace, a tall middle-aged man stared out the window at the distant sky.

His trembling fingers betrayed the calm facade he tried to maintain.

“It can’t be…”
“Demons?”

“What the hell? Who’s making all that noise?”

The adjutant jolted awake, groggy and furious.

“Can’t a guy get some sleep around here?!”

“Everyone shut up!”

“………”

Grumbling, he sat up, stormed to the door, and flung it open.

What he saw froze him in place.

“This… this can’t be real…”

The entire camp was now a blazing inferno. The towering walls crumbled like paper.

In the sky, two silhouettes danced amid swirling black tendrils—serpentine ribbons of annihilation.

Wherever they passed, Holy Heaven soldiers vanished—reduced to dust before even screaming.

“No way… I must still be dreaming…”

Legs trembling, the adjutant scrambled backward into his room.

He stabbed himself with his dagger—hard.

The searing pain confirmed it: this wasn’t a dream.

“My communicator… where is it…!” He fumbled, hands shaking, trying to press the emergency signal.

“Majesty! Majest—please respond! The seal site is under attack! Repeat—under attack! Requesting reinforcem—ah!!”

A blinding purple beam pierced through the roof.

The adjutant’s final consciousness faded with the melting of his arm.

The man who loved sleep would never wake again.

In mere moments, the heavily guarded seal site—once brimming with soldiers—was reduced to ruins.

Only shattered debris and charred bones remained, drifting in the air like ash.

The entire military base had ceased to exist.

Above the wasteland, two figures stood at the heart of an all-consuming darkness.

Bai Ci gazed at the hellscape below.

“I’m sorry…”
“I had no choice.”

“Come on, darling~”

Xiya looped her arm through his, like a couple about to go shopping.

“Let’s finish the last step.”

“Yeah.”

To save Earth…

Only one step remains?

I made it.
