(Wait, is she planning to take revenge on me by taking this opportunity?)

While waiting for the Crown Prince in the restaurant, Yara remembered what the blonde girl had said not long ago about paying attention to the regulations, and took out the booklet with some unease to flip through it.

After discovering that it was full of very common moral codes, Yara reluctantly put the booklet back into her pocket.

This was not a petty person’s suspicion of a noble person’s motives.

But because she was an out-and-out despicable person.

It was magnanimous for a noble person to let her go, and it was only right to sanction her.

Even though the blonde girl seemed to be the kind of person who didn’t hold grudges and was very generous.

But this made her feel very uneasy.

Because she had nothing to repay the blonde girl.

Even though she had done a lot to support the other party, they were all small favors, and compared to the blonde girl’s help in reducing her sentence, they were nothing.

She still felt extremely ashamed and self-reproachful.

She would rather the other party scold her severely and slap her a few times, so that she would feel better.

It wasn’t that she yearned for others to humiliate her.

But that she didn’t have much hope for the future anymore.

The situation at home was getting worse and worse.

After learning that she basically had no chance of becoming the Crown Prince’s lover, the elders in the family sent a letter and began to tentatively ask her if she would consider marrying Baron Litz.

Honestly, she didn’t want to.

Baron Litz’s reputation was even worse than the former Crown Prince’s.

It was a solid fact that he wantonly played with women, causing deaths, and it went to court…

But in the end, he solved it by spending money.

And if she went there, it wouldn’t be as the legal wife, but as a lover…

It looked like she would be a plaything that would be played with and abandoned.

But it was said that the other party had offered a price that was enough to move the family.

She had indeed thought about repaying the family who had raised her as much as possible, and contributing as much as possible to the family.

But if it really ended like this… she felt that she might as well stay here and continue to be rejected and bullied.

It didn’t matter if she was retaliated against by the blonde girl.

But she was just thinking about it.

Letters from her father and mother arrived today.

She hadn’t had time to read them yet.

And didn’t want to read them.

(No, what am I doing?)

Yara quickly took a breath and stopped what was about to come out.

At this time, the Crown Prince and the old butler came together.

The breakfast process was very smooth, but after it was over and Yara was about to pack up and leave, the Crown Prince suddenly said:

“You stay.”

Yara’s heart couldn’t help but thump.

“Yes, Your Highness.”

She could only pack everything up and return to the restaurant.

Not long after, the assistant and the blonde girl came together.

Seeing this lineup, Yara became even more panicked.

She wasn’t afraid of having old scores settled.

But she was afraid of being fired because of it.

She… didn’t want to leave yet.

“Speak, what’s the matter?”

The Crown Prince asked the blonde girl.

“It’s like this, Your Highness, in order to make more delicious and rich dishes, I hope to increase the purchase of these ingredients.”

The blonde girl handed a list to everyone, including Yara, as if she had prepared for it.

Yara was still a little confused as to why she was qualified to attend such a meeting, but when she saw the name of a certain food on the list, her heart stopped.

Wolf Peach.

In the Lorland Empire, only her family grew this fruit on a large scale.

Yara remembered the scene where the blonde girl talked to her about her family’s situation not long ago…

She never thought that the blonde girl not only didn’t plan to settle old scores, but also planned to help her.

But she couldn’t be happy at all, because this fruit was also the culprit that caused her family to fall into trouble!

As expected, Mr. Morick, the assistant who wore gold-rimmed glasses and looked extremely shrewd, quickly saw the problem.

“Leaving aside other things, this fruit called ‘tomato’ is the rumored poisonous ‘wolf peach’, right?”

He frowned.
“Can His Highness really eat this thing?”

It’s over, it’s over.

Yara trembled all over.

Not long after the poisoning incident, Kna was fired without even having time to say goodbye, and it was estimated that it was also related to this matter.

Now, a suspected poisonous fruit has appeared again, and it’s difficult not to be suspected…

Wait, could this be Flora’s intention, planning to lead others to misunderstand that the poisoning was done with wolf peaches…

No, Flora shouldn’t do this kind of thing, and if she did, she wouldn’t call her here and give her a chance to confront her… What should she do?

Yara’s heart was completely messed up.

Just then, a gentle voice gently floated into her ears.

“Yara, calm down, everyone doesn’t mean to blame you, we’re just having a normal discussion.”

Yara mustered up the courage to look around and found that the other three people only had serious and earnest expressions, and were not angry or furious.

And the blonde girl who was comforting her had a faint smile on her face, which made people feel at ease and even full of encouragement.

Yara gradually calmed down.

At the same time, she also remembered one thing.

When she came here, in addition to taking the shortcut of becoming a lover, she wanted to see if there was a chance to sell the luxurious fruit that not many people wanted to eat, the tomato, to the Crown Prince, who was rumored to be extremely extravagant and lavish.

Of course, after so long of observation, she had clearly understood that the Crown Prince was not extravagant at all, but was very frugal.

The clothes that other nobles would throw away after wearing them once were actually taken by the Crown Prince to be washed repeatedly, and it was said that they were usually worn for three months before being changed.

The most expensive food was only about the same as what her small baron family ate during the holidays.

Most of the luxury goods hanging in the house were imitations that looked beautiful and were used to support the facade.

But if you said he didn’t have money, the salary given by the Crown Prince was very high, and the new system that was coming was also planning to give them a raise and increase their benefits.

In other words, the Crown Prince was just a cheapskate who was unwilling to waste money on enjoyment.

So she had abandoned the idea of selling her family’s specialties long ago.

But now that it was brought up by the blonde girl, even if the final purchase volume was only one-tenth of the list, it would be enough to solve the family’s urgent needs.

She had to seize this opportunity.

“Regarding the situation of tomatoes, I think it would be more appropriate for Yara Cyk to answer.” The blonde girl saw that she had regained her spirits and quickly turned around and said to everyone.

The Crown Prince didn’t speak, but just looked up at Yara.

If it had been before, Yara would have been too scared to speak, and even if she could, she would stutter and her mind would be in a mess.

But after seeing the scene where the blonde girl argued on the basis of reason, and after greeting the Crown Prince again and again these past few days, for some reason, she didn’t think the current Crown Prince was scary at all.

“Reporting to Your Highness and all the gentlemen, tomatoes can definitely be eaten, they are delicious and nutritious… As for their toxicity, it is mainly on the stems and leaves.

The fruit itself is non-toxic, but it cannot be placed in tin tableware…”

Fluently saying the propaganda words that she thought she had forgotten long ago, Yara remembered the tests she had done again and again when studying the habits of wolf peaches at home, and the expectations when she named it “tomato”, and the grievances and despair when the poisoning incident occurred later…

For some reason, even though it was related to the family’s future, she didn’t feel heavy at all. Instead, she felt more and more confident.

The more she said, the more certain she was that her family’s efforts would not be in vain.

Ah.

I see.

She knew the reason.

Because the Crown Prince was different from those nobles, he wouldn’t be unreasonable and wouldn’t listen to their introductions and explanations at all.

The best proof was the blonde girl next to her.

Every time the blonde girl offended him, it was so reasonable.

The Crown Prince did adopt the other party’s reasonable advice.

“We have already understood the situation of tomatoes, but wouldn’t it be a little too extravagant to buy so many luxury foods at once?”

Even if the assistant raised a question that Yara couldn’t answer.

But she believed that that person would have a way—

“Regarding this… I think everyone has fallen into a misunderstanding, that is, mindless frugality will not be conducive to the development of the country.”

Flora said confidently.
