The RV team ventured deep into the city center. Supported by their formidable strength, their progress was smooth until, unexpectedly, they encountered a terrifying, devouring creature: the Zombie Broodmother.

The Broodmother devours any biological tissue it can touch to produce more zombies. Its body is immense, resembling a massive polymer of human limbs. The arms it extends indiscriminately drag living tissue into its body for consumption.

Upon seeing this creature, Ren Anhua, for the first time, questioned the idea of humanity ever returning to the top of the food chain.

There might be more than one of these creatures, and they would continuously produce more zombies.

Its immense size made it impossible for the RV team to handle, leaving them with no choice but to flee. The good news was that the Broodmother couldn’t catch up to them. The bad news was that the team still had to fend off attacks from a large number of zombies during their escape. To cope with the situation, the entire team went on full combat alert. Even when Ren Anhua needed to relieve herself, she had to resort to special means to avoid any danger.

Thanks to their high state of combat readiness, the team gradually began to escape the Broodmother’s danger zone. Just as they were getting clear, however, they ran into the red-haired man in the suit. Mistaking him for a zombie, they angered him.

At the same time, because they had stopped, the Broodmother they had just shaken off began to catch up again. Caught between a wolf and a tiger, the team was thrown into a crisis.

“I… am… human,” the suited man’s voice was laced with a deep, suppressed madness.
