After a brief silence, the chief roared, and all the officers immediately raised their equipment, ready for a confrontation.

The faces of many were etched with fury.

Everyone was on guard, waiting for the moment the Anomaly would walk out of that cold building and attack them all.

“How much longer until those people from the Urban Security Bureau get here?
Their efficiency is abysmal!”

The chief anxiously gripped his walkie-talkie.

Police equipment was practically useless against these Anomalies.

It would be a miracle if this many officers could hold out for even a few minutes.

But they had to hold on.

They were merely flesh and blood.

Their tattered bodies flung organs and intestines about as bullets ripped through great chunks of flesh upon impact.

But they didn’t care.

They charged forward, dragging their rotting bodies, displaying their unsettling forms for all to see—

These were three corpses, as decayed as zombies from a movie.

As they roared, fragments of brain tissue were faintly visible in their gaping mouths.

One of them was still wearing clothes, confirming their identities—they were the three bodies from the suicide case delivered to the autopsy center that very noon!

Reanimation.

It was really reanimation!

Although the unkillable corpses terrified everyone, the officers present were all elites of their time.

Those without the courage to face Anomalies had long since pulled strings to get out.

The ones who remained were all willing to fight to the death.

The bullets continued to fly wildly, and the one charging most fiercely was Liu Xiaoxiao.

After kicking one corpse away, Bai Hai instantly drew the attention of the remaining two.

Seizing the opportunity, he flew up with another kick, sending a second one flying.

Then, before the last corpse could react, he closed the distance, grabbed it by its clothes, and amidst the crowd’s gasps, actually lifted it high into the air!
