Grandma Karina, hug me!

Chapter 291,108 words10 min read

Since Karina ran out, Lili kept holding Amy in a daze.

Before Karina ran out, she said: “Leia, I finally found you!”

Lili had a magical thought—could it be that Letia was Karina’s daughter?

But Lili immediately denied it, because Aunt Karina was too gentle.

Letia was so bad—she made things difficult for Lili everywhere, sometimes hitting and touching her, even forcing Lili to wear shameful clothes and dance shameful dances!

So, Letia’s mother definitely wasn’t any proper dragon.

Most likely, she was a lewd and detestable evil dragon, maybe with countless wives and concubines, sticking close to cute little girls every day, leaving them dizzy and exhausted…

No, just thinking about it made Lili’s heart beat faster.

This was just a normal physiological reaction—it definitely wasn’t that she was feeling lustful or unbearably thirsty!

“Grandma… Karina Grandma…”

“Aunt Karina isn’t Grandma, you know!”

“Um, isn’t she?”

“No,” Lili explained with a cheerful smile, “though calling her Grandma works as a form of address, she’s actually not related to you by blood!”

Maybe she spoke too much—Amy’s watery eyes filled with big question marks.

Lili didn’t intend to explain further, just held Amy and played with her, until a violent explosion erupted outside, the thunderous noise making Lili let out a shrill scream.

“Ahhhhhh!—”

“Uhh, wuuu!” Amy cried too.

Lili quickly calmed down, gently stroking Amy’s back.

Amy was badly frightened, and compared to herself, Lili was more worried about Amy being scared.

“Don’t cry, don’t cry, it’s just thunder…”

“Thunder?”

“Mm, the clouds in the sky are angry, that’s why there’s thunder.”

“When they’re angry, they thunder?”

Lili nodded cheerfully. But she knew it wasn’t thunder at all—it seemed like a fight outside, maybe Karina had found her enemy.

Either way, to protect Amy, Lili wasn’t planning to go out and investigate.

If stray shots or flying stones came, it would be terrible if they hit Amy.

After a long while, it looked like things outside had calmed down. Lili sighed in relief, patting Amy’s back again.

“Are you okay, Amy?”

“I’m okay!—” Amy answered with a long note.

“As long as you’re okay…”

Still uneasy, Lili picked Amy up and tried to hide deeper in the cave.

But there was no cover inside the cave—after searching for a while, she found nothing suitable, so she crouched behind the bed with Amy, using her own body to shield the direction of danger from the entrance.

Just then, hurried footsteps echoed.

Lili thought it was the enemy and immediately hugged Amy tightly.

“Leia Mama!” Amy struggled out of Lili’s arms.

Lili turned back and saw the ragged Letia. Though not completely covered in wounds, Letia’s clothes were shredded, and her dress was stained with blood.

“W-what on earth happened!”

“No time to explain, Lili—take the child and run with me now!”

“Run?… Could it be the enemy has come after us?”

“Yes, it’s the enemy!” Letia didn’t want to explain more. “Didn’t you hear that explosion just now? That was their large-scale bombardment magic!”

“How could this be…”

Lili looked at Letia in despair, shaking her head in disbelief.

Sure enough, Karina was a bad person—she only wanted the evil dragon’s heart.

At first, Lili thought Letia was Karina’s daughter. But what mother would use such a heavy hand? Even discipline wouldn’t go so far as beating her until she bled!

Then… where was Karina’s daughter?

Could it be… Letia ate Karina’s daughter?

Very possible—Letia was a cruel and lustful evil dragon, maybe assaulting her first, then killing her brutally, swallowing the body whole!

The only reason Lili survived was because she still had value as a nurse!

When Karina said “find my daughter,” she probably meant finding her daughter’s corpse to give her a grave—the true culprit was this evil dragon Letia!

Terrible—who should she follow?

Should she run with Letia to escape Karina, or with Karina to escape Letia?

“Lili Mama…”

Amy’s voice woke Lili from her daze.

For herself it didn’t matter, but Amy must never come to harm. If she only thought of Amy’s safety, following Letia was the right choice.

After all, Letia loved her daughter too—she wouldn’t hurt her own child.

“Okay, I’ll pack some things first!”

“What things? Hurry, run—any later and it’ll be too late!”

“Uh, okay…”

Letia rushed out the door, and Lili carried Amy close behind.

They left the cave, fresh wind blowing on their faces. Lili was moved—it had been a whole month since she’d left the cave.

At first, she was imprisoned by Letia, forced every day into shameful acts.

Even when she was pregnant, Letia fed her medicine mouth-to-mouth to protect the baby.

Not until Amy was born did Lili’s treatment improve slightly. Maybe Letia needed Lili to feed her daughter—that’s the only reason she didn’t kill her.

Perhaps, when the daughter grew older, Letia would kill her then. Even so, Lili wanted to take care of the girl as much as possible, letting her grow up healthy and happy.

“Grandma… Karina Grandma…”

Amy stretched out her chubby little hand, waving toward somewhere behind Lili.

“No, Karina is bad…” Lili corrected desperately. “Don’t call her Grandma anymore, she’ll come kill you!”

“Karina Grandma… is she bad?”

“Yes, she’s bad—don’t go to her!”

Amy looked at Lili in confusion, tilting her little head.

She could understand simple words like “good person” and “bad person,” but she didn’t think Karina was bad, though she couldn’t explain why.

At that moment, Lili felt the wind howl, and a black shadow swept past her—Karina had caught up, now standing ahead with her back to them.

“Letia, you can’t escape my grasp.”

Karina turned back with a fierce expression. Seeing Letia, her hostility didn’t fade at all—but soon, her eyes fell on Lili, and then on the obedient granddaughter in her arms.

Karina froze in shock, as if her brain’s nerves had crossed.

“Karina Grandma!—”

The childish voice echoed by her ear. Karina looked at Amy, at Lili desperately shielding Amy, at Letia standing in front protecting her family.

“Karina Grandma, hug hug!—” Amy stretched out her chubby little hands.

“What… Grandma… could it be!…”

Karina trembled all over as she stared at Amy. Lili, terrified, clutched the child tightly.
