Beta kept sweet-talking CameToDie, trying to rope him into the guild, but he consistently declined, saying watching from afar was enough. His firm refusals made me feel awkward.

I turned it off to avoid interruptions while leveling, planning to re-enable it later.

It’s honestly funny. It’s clearly a playful act, so I’m not even mad. It used to annoy me, but now I’m used to it.

Getting too immersed in a game meant for fun is enough with Gunner PKs.

What a waste of time. Just accept or decline and be done—I need to grind gear.

Since I brought up the raid team in global chat, guildmates were buzzing in guild chat, excited.

The chat kept scrolling, but with no response from him, I got increasingly anxious.

The guild vibe was great. CameToDie was pretty chill when he wasn’t teasing me, and with the guild full of social butterflies, they hit it off fast.

Leaving them to plan a guild meeting, I opened the raid party window.

Freshly maxed, my raid options were limited by gear.

I’m wearing stuff from level 95 mob drops, so top-tier raids are out. The gear on my SoonToDie account is bound, so I can’t transfer it.

Where to go? I fired up my dusty dual monitor and checked raid guides I hadn’t seen in a while.

The raid I was looking at, Valhalla’s Wrath, was endgame difficulty. It’s medieval-themed, but the story feels like a knockoff of Pharaoh’s Wrath. Couldn’t they come up with something original?

Berserker’s a dead class, so crafted gear is rare.

Dungeon drops are more common, but the market’s inflated, and I don’t want to waste gold.

If I save for enhancement stones… maybe I can afford a couple pieces?

Even for a niche class, this stuff would cost billions in the market.

And he’s just giving it to me? This is his heart?

It’s not cheap crafted gear but dungeon gear from grinding—Valhalla’s Wrath full set.

Unless you’re farming alts, you don’t need to run this raid—it’s true endgame gear.

I couldn’t hit accept easily.

I brought gold from my main, but with all I spent on PKs, I couldn’t afford this even if I emptied my pockets.

About to type in guild chat, I switched to a whisper instead.
