Quest Chaos and an Old Rival

Chapter 191,144 words10 min read

[Haley: There’s a rumor in Di Tolea that a flying ark takes villagers away. No one knows when or how. By morning, we’re left searching for the missing.]

[Haley: None of the villagers taken by the ark have returned. Their families and friends look to the sky daily, praying for their return.]

[Haley: If we could just know they’re safe… Please find the missing villagers.]

[Main Quest: *Missing Villagers*]

[Somewhere in the skies of Di Tolea, a flying ark appears. Find traces of the ark that vanishes like a mirage by morning.]

To find the traces, I’d need to head to Di Tolea’s fields.
Good thing the PK patch stabilized—otherwise, this would’ve been a pain.
The world’s big, and jerks are plenty; some players would mess with you just for kicks.

[Whisper/CameToDie > DontOrderMe: Found the traces yet?]

About to leave town for the quest, I paused at CameToDie’s whisper.

[Whisper/DontOrderMe > CameToDie: Nope, just got it.]

[Whisper/CameToDie > DontOrderMe: Wanna do it together?]

[CameToDie has invited DontOrderMe to a party.]

He’s not done yet, huh?
I accepted without hesitation and teamed up with him.
As soon as we partied, he hopped on a two-seater mount and flew to me.

[Party/CameToDie: I’ll drive.]

[Party/CameToDie: I know all the trace locations.]

[Party/DontOrderMe: Guides out already?]

[Party/CameToDie: Nah, cleared it on my main.]

Cleared already?
What kind of gamer is this?

[Party/DontOrderMe: Update dropped today…?]

[Party/CameToDie: Skipped it.]

Joining him on the mount, I was speechless at his gamer prowess.
He’d already burned through the content with nothing left to do.
His two-seater mount was faster than my pet, making me chuckle.
In Freesia, mount speed costs cash, and his speed screamed heavy investment.
Is his main’s nickname WalletWarrior?
Thanks to his driving, finding quest items was a breeze.
Five traces to collect—hope nothing goes wrong, but life never goes as planned.

**[Free Board] Speaking with Godly Insight**
*Author: YoungYong*

You know that post on the incident board about CameToDie and DontOrderMe being toxic? Total troll whining after getting called out and blasted. Lately, those two are always together, right? But CameToDie doesn’t just hang with anyone.

CameToDie = Guy who followed SoonToDie = Now follows someone else = That means SoonToDie’s alt.
In short, SoonToDie = DontOrderMe.

Speaking with godly insight, what do you think?

– Whoa, makes sense;;;
– Wasn’t CameToDie cheating?
└ Cheating lolol you’d think they’re dating.
└ Kinda true, right? He was glued to SoonToDie lolol.
– Damn, he’s SoonToDie? I’m hunting him.
└ You’re Transparent, huh?
└ Yo, Transparent, you invisible?
– SoonToDie killed me; do I hunt him now?
└ He’s got an insane weapon, you sure?
└ What’s he got?
└ Valhalla +15.
└ Boss, my bad.
└ Lololol still using an endgame weapon? Where’d he get that?

Dismounting to grab a trace, an eight-man party suddenly surrounded us.
What’s this now?

[All/Transparent: Long time no see? ㅎ]

“Ugh… leeches are less clingy.”

How’d they know I’m SoonToDie?
Did they figure it out from hanging with CameToDie?
I didn’t expect Transparent to show up, so I pondered my response.

It’s been a while since he got wrecked by Skill 1—quick recovery.
And he brought his guild, Holister?
More like Unholy-ster with that attitude.
Facing Transparent’s eager taunts, I typed.

[All/DontOrderMe: Who?]

Play dumb—it’s the best move.
Why? It pisses them off. “How dare you pretend not to know me?!”

[All/Transparent: Haha damn, playing dumb? Lol]

[All/Transparent: I know you’re SoonToDie, so drop the act.]

“Knew it.”

As expected.
Even a dimwit like Transparent wouldn’t pull this without reason.

[All/DontOrderMe: Invisible guy typing?]

[All/DontOrderMe: Oh, your presence is so transparent, you’re Transparent!]

[All/DontOrderMe: My bad, Transparent, I don’t dine with invisible users; Transparent.]

[All/Transparent: Lolol your trash talk’s still top-tier, huh? Lol]

[All/DontOrderMe: Your control still trash? Getting owned by a Berserker with a Duel Blade’s auto-attacks?]

Ignoring his antics, I glanced at CameToDie, who stayed silent.
I didn’t warn him about this—hope it’s okay.
Fidgeting, I watched him, then tilted my head at his sudden chat.

[Party/CameToDie: I’ll relog to my main.]

[CameToDie has left the party.]

“Huh? Main? Now?”

Stunned, staring at his empty spot, my eyes widened as a figure flew in on last winter’s limited *Winter Fairy’s Pumpkin Carriage*, scattering silver snowflakes.
It was the streamer who carried me before, Beta said.
Why’s he here?

[All/PatchNote: Can I kill him?]

[All/DontOrderMe: Huh?]

[All/PatchNote: He’s annoying;]

[All/PatchNote: I’ll just kill him.]

Killing because he’s annoying?

[All/PatchNote: You guys have PK on, right?]

Before I could type, PatchNote moved.
His character stepped forward, casting skills at Transparent.

Flashy effects erupted, shredding Transparent’s HP.
A stun skill froze him, and while Transparent typed in confusion, I thought, *I’d run if I were him.*
How’s this guy a sub-guild master with that brain?

PatchNote chained skills, groggying Transparent in two hits.
Duel Blades have trash defense and HP, but two skills to groggy?
What kind of damage—or wallet—does that take?
Unimaginable.

[All/PatchNote: Interrupting quests—what country’s manners are those?]

[All/PatchNote: Wanna die? Dunk your face in dishwater and die.]

[All/PatchNote: Begging to get killed like this?]

[All/Transparent: Who’re you;; I didn’t mess with you, I’m after SoonToDie, why you ***;;]

[All/PatchNote: Problem?]

[All/Transparent: Lolol you’re nuts.]

For once, I sided with Transparent.
Thanks for the backup, but he’s kinda crazy.
Unfazed by the insults, PatchNote’s character glowed red, unloading more skills.
His earlier chat hit me—he was serious about killing for annoyance.

No regular player could withstand a user with +15 gear across the board.
They had a healer but no tank, planning to burst with DPS.
I debated helping PatchNote, but he seemed fine solo.
Still, it’s my mess—should I join?

[All/DontOrderMe: Need help?]

[All/PatchNote: Sorry, I’ll clean up quick.]

[All/PatchNote: Wanna grab traces? Should take three minutes.]

[All/DontOrderMe: Why’re *you* sorry…]

I pitied Transparent.
Not instant noodles, but PatchNote was confident in a three-minute wipe.
True to his word, he obliterated the eight-man party in three minutes.

His cast speed, likely all-in on speed boosts, was unreal.
Some cooldown reduction too—true pay-to-win.

His skill barrage was a dazzling fireworks show.
Wow, can’t see this IRL, but in-game?

First time meeting him, but I like him.
No, I know who he is, and that makes him impressive.
Don’t mess with him—better stay on his good side.
