Youlan’s Dilemma

With the arrival of Magical Girl Youlan, Magical Girl Akahoshi seemed to relax a bit. Because as soon as Youlan appeared, she launched an attack on the enemy executive, Yue Ling, causing the Jellyfish Girl to trigger a protective instinct, shifting her focus from Akahoshi to Youlan. This is why, at that moment, the Jellyfish Girl threw the coiled-up building towards Youlan.

Such a perfect piece of art, Yue Ling could only describe it with four words: “Powerful! Massive! Heavy!”

In the brief moment when Youlan saw her own mounds exposed, her eyes flashed with surprise, and her ears turned a faint pink.

However, unlike Magical Girl Akahoshi or Magical Girl Biyu, Youlan didn’t immediately cover her chest and falter. To prevent the Jellyfish Girl from attacking again, Youlan lightly tapped the ground with her toes, her form as agile as a swallow, instantly creating distance between herself and the Jellyfish Girl. Simultaneously, she chanted:

“‘Energy Release★Cold Bird'”

The moment Youlan finished chanting the spell’s name, three ice-crystal white birds appeared on her shoulders. Two of the white birds flew towards the Jellyfish Girl and Yue Ling, while the remaining one silently walked to Youlan’s exposed chest, then spread its wings, transforming into an ice armor that covered the exposed area.

As for whether it would freeze Youlan herself… the answer is no. Being a magical girl, having resistance to her own magic is only natural.

The Jellyfish Girl, facing the approaching ice bird, was about to release a bubble to absorb the magic, just as she had done with Akahoshi. But the ice bird seemed to have a mind of its own, able to dodge and avoid her released bubble, striking one of her extended tentacles. Instantly, that tentacle froze, and the shards of ice from the bird’s explosion splattered onto other parts of her body, causing varying degrees of frost. However, due to her powerful body, such a level of frost had little effect on her.

On Yue Ling’s side, she had planned to use her abilities to easily dispel the ice bird. Unexpectedly, she heard Magical Girl Akahoshi casting a spell.

As soon as the words left her mouth, three iron chains wrapped in flames shot out from the tip of Magical Girl Akahoshi’s magic wand. The three chains, like scorching serpents, attacked Yue Ling from three directions simultaneously.

After landing smoothly, Youlan leaped back up, easily returning to the rooftop next to Magical Girl Biyu.

At this point, Magical Girl Akahoshi also arrived beside Youlan and Magical Girl Biyu, and after evading Magical Girl Akahoshi’s earlier chains, Yue Ling was now by Maositog’s side.
