A Sister’s Shadow and a Seductive Plan

Chapter 361,320 words11 min read

“Then what good are you for, besides staying here and listening to me talk?”

“But I’m so clever, you see! I can offer my Master countless ideas!”

“Do tell.”

“Master, consider this: since Tia cares so deeply for her sister, why don’t you try to embody her sister, using that to gradually draw closer to her heart? A living person, after all, has more warmth than a deceased one!”

“Ah! Don’t say such things!”

Chloe gasped, instantly reaching out to cover Papertreat’s mouth, her gaze cautiously darting towards the open doorway. However, muffling Papertreat’s mouth seemed to do little to prevent them from speaking normally.

“Master! I speak only the truth! Yilan’s life was forever frozen in that moment, and Tia cannot possibly continue on like this indefinitely. This course of action is truly for her own good!”

“But… Tia doesn’t seem to want anyone to imitate Yilan. Last time, I accidentally styled my hair like Yilan’s old haircut, and she was still angry with me for it…”

Though Chloe found some logic in Papertreat’s words, a sense of unease still gnawed at her. To deliberately try and replace someone who had saved her life felt deeply wrong, even if it might be what Yilan would have wished for.

Papertreat’s stitched mouth twisted into a wry grin.

“Master, you’re truly foolish! Look at the clothes you’re wearing now, and those in the wardrobe—aren’t they all identical to Yilan’s? This merely proves that Tia, consciously or unconsciously, wishes to see you as Yilan. She simply hasn’t been able to overcome that psychological barrier. If only you take the initiative and move her heart in a more profound way, securing her affection will be within reach!”

“Moving her heart, you say…”

Taking out her phone, Chloe found Tia’s avatar and tapped it open.

–When will Master be back? I miss you so much.–

The moment she typed that message, a shiver ran down Chloe’s entire body, raising goosebumps. No! That’s too disgusting!

–Is there anything you want to eat tonight? I can make anything, as long as you come home.–

No, that won’t do either! This sentence is too ambiguous; it could easily be misunderstood.

It’s so hard to think! Girls are truly difficult to appease!

Just as Chloe was deep in thought, a message from the other party arrived first.

–I see you’ve been typing. Is there something you wanted to say? Also, what I said earlier was a bit harsh; please don’t take it to heart.–

While the app did show when someone was typing, Chloe wondered how Tia could have possibly seen it. Could Tia also have been hesitating about whether to message her?

Chloe looked at the message from Tia and couldn’t help but offer a wry smile. Words spoken in reality, unlike those online, couldn’t be unsent; there was no way to simply “not take them to heart.”

–When are you coming back?–

Ultimately, she opted for a concise question, leaving Tia to interpret it as she wished.

–I’ll be back tonight. I’ll eat dinner at home; make enough for two.–

The reply was almost instantaneous, and Chloe felt a surge of excitement. Clutching her phone, she typed out a quick response.

–Okay!–

Phew! It seems it’s not too difficult after all! Perhaps Papertreat was right: one couldn’t fully trust the words of someone as emotionally unstable as Tia. Some of her intense remarks might merely be a defense mechanism to protect her fragile inner self. Only by carefully peeling back each layer of her exterior could one reach the deepest part of her heart.

Chloe had always been a solitary person, rarely interacting with others, so this meticulous effort to decipher someone else’s thoughts was a first for her, and it left her feeling somewhat exhausted.

Time to cook, she decided. Tia had said to make enough for two, which meant Chloe could finally join her at the dining table—a truly delightful prospect!

However, the moment she stepped into the kitchen, her mind went utterly blank. This won’t work… Forget about replicating Yilan’s cooking; for food prepared by Chloe, edible was a pass, delicious an outright luxury.

“It’s alright, Master! As long as you put your heart into it, I believe Tia will be able to feel it!” Seeing Chloe’s hesitation, Papertreat quickly encouraged her.

“Then… I’ll try…”

She managed to eat my cooking last time, didn’t she? Looking on the bright side, perhaps Tia’s standards for food are quite low?

Whipping out her phone, Chloe followed an online tutorial. After several hours of struggle, she finally managed to create a dish with relatively complex steps. At the very least, it looked far more appetizing than a lump of black charcoal. Once that dish was complete, Chloe quickly stir-fried some green vegetables, then placed both dishes into a pot, keeping them warm over a low flame.

As Tia usually dined alone, the table was often cluttered with everyday items. Chloe meticulously cleared them away, storing them in the utility cabinet. Yet, gazing at the now empty table, she felt something was still missing. She scratched her small head thoughtfully, then a flash of inspiration struck her. Bounding like a little rabbit, she darted into the back garden to pick a flower. Then, stretching onto her tiptoes, she painstakingly retrieved a small porcelain vase from a high cabinet, arranged the flower in it, and gently placed it in the center of the table.

Heh heh~ Much more pleasing to the eye now!

Having completed all of this, Chloe found herself drenched in sweat. It’s still early; I might as well take another shower! Although Chloe’s sweat carried no unpleasant odor, only a faint milky scent, her current appearance felt far too casual. This is the first proper meal I’ll be having in this house! I must take it seriously!

Which dress should I wear? Chloe gazed at the wardrobe overflowing with dresses. Eventually, she chose the simplest white dress, which resembled a nightgown. It was adorned with only a few scattered floral patterns and was incredibly sheer, almost transparent when held up to the light.

When Yilan wore this dress, Tia would have seen her merely as an adorable younger sister. However, on me, this semi-transparent, suggestive garment, combined with the fact that it will undoubtedly remind Tia of her sister, is bound to ignite a completely different chemical reaction.

At this thought, Chloe couldn’t help but cover her flushed cheeks, feeling utterly…

Betraying the deceased Yilan… seducing her sister… I feel like a vixen~

Stepping into the bathroom, she stripped completely naked, lathered herself with shower gel, and rinsed away the rich foam. Her supple, milky-smooth skin gleamed under the bright lights. Chloe peered at the fog-covered mirror, dimly discerning her figure through the mist. Her small “pigeon breasts” were about the size of apples, noticeable without clothes, yet barely discernible beneath fabric. Her bottom, while somewhat perky, was overall quite modest.

Would Tia like a body like this? Although Tia had seemed to enjoy herself when doing those things to Chloe earlier, it was hard to tell if it was merely the pleasure of release rather than genuine attraction to her body. The water was a little too hot, staining her skin pink. Ugh! What on earth am I thinking? I only want to improve our relationship for the sake of a normal life; pondering these questions is utterly superfluous!

After a quick shower, Chloe put on the dress and settled onto the marble steps in front of the main entrance, drying her damp hair as she awaited Tia’s return. It was getting late; scattered starlight had begun to twinkle in the sky.

And a bright moon hung above.
