Leon knelt down, examining the shocking wounds on the dragon’s corpse, his brow furrowed.
“These wounds look like they were caused by some kind of giant blade.”
“Who wounded it like this?”
Land also looked closely.
The edges of the gaping wounds were strangely torn, definitely not caused by an ordinary sword or blade.
Especially those few arcing cuts that had severed the dragon’s bones.
As if he had thought of something, he spoke.
“This is… a scythe!”
“These are wounds from a giant scythe!”
The moment Land blurted it out, a name flashed through Black’s mind.
He suddenly felt that something was very wrong!
There was only one person who used a giant scythe as a weapon and possessed such terrifying killing power!
And in the game, that person did seem to be in Area B!
“Not good!”
Black’s expression changed.
As if to confirm his premonition.
“Voom!”
A piercing sound of something cutting through the air came from above!
Immediately after, a massive, pitch-black scythe, carrying the force of a mountain, descended from the sky!
It smashed down violently towards the spot where Black and the others were standing!
The three of them were all battle-hardened veterans and reacted extremely quickly.
At the last possible second, they dove in different directions!
“BOOM!”
The black scythe slammed heavily into the spot where they had just been standing.
A huge crater several meters in diameter was smashed into the ground, sending shattered rock flying and filling the air with dust.
The edge of the scythe’s blade was still stained with dark red dragon blood.
Land stared at the viciously shaped scythe, his pupils shrinking as he recognized its extraordinary nature.
“This kind of fluctuation… is a six-star weapon?!”
He immediately looked up, glaring around them, and shouted sternly.
“Who’s there?! How dare you attack the Dragon-Slaying Guard!”
The next moment, a figure descended lightly from the air like a phantom.
It landed on the head of the dead Flame Dragon.
It was a skinny young man with a cold smile playing on his lips.
His skin was so pale it was almost transparent, and his gloomy eyes churned with a twisted excitement.
The young man tilted his head slightly, and from between his short black hair, the scarlet tip of his tongue emerged, lightly licking a sharp canine tooth.
He looked down on Black and the other two from his high perch.
“Hehe.”
The young man suddenly let out a neurotic, soft laugh.
“Three little mice, and you dare to call yourselves Dragon-Slaying Guards?”
When Black saw the person’s face clearly, his heart sank.
‘It really is him.’
That paranoid and twisted yandere, Ivo!
Leon and Land also recognized the other party’s identity, and their expressions turned exceptionally grim.
This was the only son of Howard, the Sixth Seat of the Round Table Knights.
In terms of status, he could indeed afford to look down on low-star Dragon-Slaying Guards.
And to make matters worse, this Ivo was famous for his perverse personality and for holding grudges.
Rumor had it that anyone who offended him, regardless of gender, died a miserable death.
Now that he had his eyes on them, they were in big trouble!
Ivo suddenly knelt on one knee on the dragon’s head, his black-gloved fingertips gently caressing the shattered eye socket of the Flame Dragon.
His voice abruptly shifted to a sweet whisper.
“Do you know? This lovely little fellow…”
“Was supposed to become a specimen in my treasury!”
The last word was suddenly torn into a hysterical scream.
The scythe, without any warning, chopped down half an inch in front of Black’s feet. The flying sparks reflected Ivo’s twisted, smiling face.
“I spent so long to heavily wound it. Just as I was about to finish the kill, it managed to escape with a final desperate struggle…”
His cold gaze locked onto Black like a viper.
“And in the end, you… in the end, you little mice stole my kill.”
He slowly raised his hand, and the giant black scythe, responding to his call, flew back into his hand with a hum.
Ivo held the scythe, pointed it at Black, and his voice became incomparably cold.
“Why don’t you take its place and become my specimen?”
‘Just as crazy, just as yandere as in the game.’
Black’s brows furrowed. He hadn’t expected to provoke Ivo.
Although this guy’s strength wasn’t top-tier, his reckless, life-or-death fighting style was super difficult to deal with.
‘How can I shake off this neurotic yandere?’
Just then, Ivo’s gaze inadvertently swept over the Overlord Spear in Black’s hand.
He was slightly taken aback at first, then his expression changed as if he had discovered a priceless treasure!
A shocking light burst forth from his gloomy eyes, and a crazed look appeared on his face.
‘The Overlord Spear?!’
‘These markings… this aura…’
‘It’s actually that six-star weapon that Seth treats as his own life?!’
Ivo’s voice became shrill.
“I only heard he lost this spear to a little pirate on the Azure Wave, I never thought that person would be you!”
Hearing this, Leon and Land also looked in shock at the long spear in Black’s hand.
They had previously only thought the spear had a unique design and was powerful.
They had never imagined it was a trophy won from the “Mad Wolf” Seth.
Ivo licked his slightly dry lips, a malicious glint in his eyes.
“Excellent! Excellent! I’ve disliked that guy Seth for a long time!”
“This Overlord Spear, I’ve coveted it for ages!”
“This is perfect. I’ll snatch it, and then I can dangle it in front of that bastard’s face every day and humiliate him!”
He turned to Black, his tone filled with greed.
“Hey, little mouse! Give me the Overlord Spear, and I won’t want you as a specimen anymore!”
Without a second thought, Black refused in a cold voice.
“Impossible.”
The Overlord Spear was one of his most important assets in combat right now.
If he lost it, he would have no confidence in facing the more dangerous situations to come.
The excitement on Ivo’s face instantly froze, then shattered like a broken mirror, twisting into an extremely morbid expression.
He could hardly believe that someone would dare to refuse him so bluntly!
“You despicable little mouse… you dare to refuse me?!”
Ivo’s voice became shrill, his eyes were bloodshot, and a thick killing intent emanated from his body.
“Good! Very good! Since you won’t give it to me, then I’ll just kill you and take the spear!”
“And not only that, I’ll grind your corpse into mince and feed it to the dragons!”
Black took a deep breath and tightened his grip on the Overlord Spear.
He was well aware of Ivo’s sick nature.
In the game’s setting, this guy was a battle-crazed maniac who treated human life as if it were grass.
From the moment he was targeted, this fight was unavoidable.
Rather than cowering, it was better to fight to the death.
Although this Ivo was 5 levels higher than him, it wasn’t a fight he couldn’t take.
Seeing the situation, Leon and Land immediately took a step forward and warned him.
“Ivo! You want to kill a Dragon-Slaying Guard? Have you considered the consequences?!”
“Consequences?”
Ivo looked at them coldly, as if he had heard a joke.
“Mere one-star and two-star Dragon-Slaying Guards, do you think you’re worthy of making me consider the consequences?”
“You’d need to be at least four-star or higher to barely qualify to speak with me.”
Leon and Land’s faces turned pale, but they couldn’t refute him.
The Round Table Knights held an extremely revered position in the empire, second only to the Imperial Family.
Their descendants indeed had the capital to be arrogant.
