The Lost Body and the New Form

Chapter 111,100 words10 min read

The loss of her storage space wasn’t a big deal; it wasn’t worth much, to begin with. After all, she could create more on her own. Even the equipment inside wasn’t a huge loss, as she could always ‘plunder’ from some wild bosses. If necessary, she could play the role of a bully again, seizing and plundering as she pleased.

What truly mattered was the god-forged body, bound to the storage space, which appeared to be missing. That body, with a rank of 20, couldn’t be replicated quickly! That body was a legal construct, meticulously assembled by Gloria from the depths of a junkyard, using countless specks of dust. Because it was originally processed and shredded by the divine realm, the body bore the mark of the Chief Judge, allowing it to evade the Laws of Reason.

Even in the worst-case scenario, Gloria could ensure she wasn’t targeted by the divine realm.

But without the Chief Judge’s mark, facing the divine realm’s search parties was like a naked criminal parading in the streets. Gloria fell into a state of chaos. I shouldn’t have been so careless.

‘So, what state am I in now?’

At this point, the girl with flawless beauty slowly opened her golden eyes.

Initially, the acrid smell of seawater and the chilling environment left her confused. ‘I shouldn’t have landed on the surface of a rocky planet, right?’

It was pitch black, with sharp, uncomfortable crystals beneath her. There were no fish swimming, no seaweed releasing bubbles. On this seabed, filled with the essence of death, countless black metals, once melted and now solidified, emitted a terrifying red glow.

‘Is this a battlefield in hell?’ the girl muttered in the rustic language of Earth, unfolding a spiritual vision just below the level of divine perception. She avoided disturbing the souls of nearby creatures, carefully scanning her surroundings. ‘This place seems off. Did a few gods just have a brawl here?’

Despite the harsh environment, the experienced Gloria didn’t panic. She knew that the most critical task was to understand her current situation, then act to her advantage, and hide if necessary.

Wave after wave, the dark currents surged, and a large white sea sponge followed suit.

The strange objects in her chest and the extra weight hanging from the back of her head caught Gloria’s attention. She reached up and grabbed her chest, feeling the soft, warm lumps. Looking down, she saw a faint blue glow emanating from them.

‘They’re useless burdens. I don’t recall adding unnecessary details to my creations.’

She spoke while touching them, noting the warmth and firmness, like a hot water bottle or a tightly stuffed pillow, offering comfort in the biting cold. She nodded expressionlessly. ‘They’re useful, but not very… Wait, I think I’ve discovered something.’

She began to stroke her body from head to toe, inside and out, almost unable to stop. Only when she saw her reflection in the black crystals, enhancing her spiritual vision, did she realize the extent of the changes to her body.

‘This… is my body?’

The girl, who looked like a pristine, flawless pearl, didn’t care that her voluptuous figure was exposed to the murky sea. She sat on the seafloor, her white hair dancing like willow catkins. Her clothes were burned away by divine flames, but her skin showed no signs of injury.

Her youthful, innocent face contrasted sharply with the body of a 16-year-old, suggesting that the girl’s thoughts were far more mature than her appearance.

‘This body is damn beautiful,’ Gloria said, braiding her milk-white hair into a smooth side ponytail and pounding her chest forcefully. ‘But no matter how attractive, it’s only skin deep. Whether it’s performance or potential, it can’t compare to the body I created. Concentration is the essence! Besides, I lost a precious item and got two useless ones in return. It’s a bad trade either way. I must find my original body.’

Appearance is irrelevant. The key is the mark that exempts one from the Laws of Reason. Even if you’re stunning, when blasted into plasma by an energy cannon, does that plasma look any different from an ugly body?

No difference! So, appearance is worthless. At most, it boosts your mood when you look in the mirror. Yes, that’s right. I’m a genius at self-comfort.

‘Genius, my ass! Who dared to stick their dirty hands into my Blasphemous Demon God’s pocket? You better hope I don’t find you, because if I do, I’ll shove End By down your throat and make you shit it out of your mouth!’

At least, this body doesn’t have any profanity filters. That’s a relief.

Taking a few seconds to think, Gloria realized what had likely happened. Either the phase transition device malfunctioned, or the laws of this world were flawed, causing Gloria’s soul and body to separate during the transfer. Her soul now resided in this body, known as X, while her physical form was nowhere to be found.

Given Gloria’s knowledge of the advanced technology of the Four-Leaf Clover Civilization and their low fault rate, she suspected that the issue lay with this world, disrupting her plans.

But that wasn’t a problem. Money was external. Her soul was intact, and many spells were still usable. Besides, there was the End By (damaged version).

As the creator of the original information concept, with a bit of dark magic, she could trace any historical event, including her lost body.

‘Let’s see how much of my power this ultimate machine, created by human civilization, can actually wield.’

Gloria mimicked a pair of scissors with her right hand, and dark blades appeared between her fingers. She tilted her head back, closed her eyes, and began to cut along her line of sight.

The world seemed unchanged, but in Gloria’s eyes, time and space tore apart, and a fine layer of white sand poured out from the gap. On one side was pitch-black night, and on the other, a blinding white, reminiscent of the background of the Immaculate Realm.

These sand grains, like miniature suns, fell from the white side, one by one, onto her eyes, and dissolved into a chaotic web of ripples across the vast expanse of time and space.

‘Dark Source, first technique, Cutting Shadow. Show me your true face, world!’

The history of the Sistia World was roughly compiled into a book, and Gloria lowered her hand, picking up a book made of illusions. Her eyes flickered with superhuman efficiency as she analyzed and organized the world’s brief history.
