A Contract Sealed with Chicken

Delicious Merit, here I come!

After instructing Hillisa to guard the door and ensure no one disturbed her, Liyahiss eagerly used [Shadow Touch] to carry Belzebub down into the basement. To prevent Belzebub from thrashing about and injuring herself, Liyahiss thoughtfully cast [Spatial Imprisonment] on the basement. She then slightly loosened the restraints on Belzebub herself, just enough to allow her to speak.

Next, she employed her usual method—a touch of magically-chilled air—to rouse Belzebub from her slumber.

“Where is this? Why did I pass out?”

Liyahiss merely smiled, silently enjoying Belzebub’s confused reaction.

“So it was you, you brat! You’re the one who brought me here!”

“That’s right, I did. What of it?”

“Whatever you’re planning, I will never submit!”

“Oh? Is that so?”

Liyahiss silently activated [King of Phantasm], unleashing its [Mind Control] ability. Belzebub was immediately struck by an overwhelming hunger, her body screaming that it was time to eat.

“Hey… do you have any food?”

“I do,” Liyahiss replied, pulling the roasted chicken from her storage space.

Upon seeing the chicken, Belzebub’s eyes sparkled as she swallowed hard.

“Please, give me that roasted chicken! I’ll do anything!”

“Anything, you say? You can have the chicken, no problem. But first, you have to sign this.”

“Okay, no problem!”

Huh? Wait… did you even look at what I asked you to sign?

Master-Servant Contract Details:

Mandatory Clauses (Cannot be altered):

1. The servant cannot harm the master.

2. The master may freely use any and all magic known to the servant.

3. The master may freely use the servant’s body.

4. The master may teleport to the servant’s side at any time and may also instantly summon the servant to their side.

5. The master may, at any time, view the servant’s vision, location, status, and thoughts.

6. The master may unilaterally terminate the contract at any time.

Additional Clauses (Customizable):

1. Master and servant may communicate telepathically at any time and any place.

2. The servant may, with the master’s permission, borrow the master’s magic or access the master’s information.

3. The master will be responsible for the servant’s food and lodging.

Once Belzebub agreed, the paper, which was covered in arcane symbols and text, drew a drop of magical energy from each of them. It then spontaneously combusted, turning to ash in the blink of an eye.

Confirming that Belzebub had been successfully neutralized, Liyahiss released her from her bonds. Belzebub snatched the roasted chicken and began to tear into it, utterly unconcerned about the contractual restraints she had just accepted.

I can’t believe it was that easy. She’s such a glutton she’d trade her pride for a meal.

“[Beep! ‘Merit’ +2! Current ‘Merit’: 3. Use immediately?]”

“No.”

After her battle with Belzebub, Liyahiss had a much clearer understanding of her own strength. While she might not be invincible, she could at least hold her own against a formidable opponent. She decided it was best to save her precious Merit points until she knew exactly what she wanted to wish for.

Watching Belzebub devour the chicken with greasy abandon, Liyahiss thought to herself, Eat up. Once you’re finished, it’ll be my turn to feast.

As she was eating, Belzebub’s delicate frame suddenly trembled. A chill ran down her spine for no apparent reason, but she dismissed it as a consequence of being in a dark, underground room.

Just as Liyahiss was seriously contemplating how to have some… fun with her new maid, Hillisa’s anxious voice came from outside the door.

“Master, we have a problem! A large group of magical girls is rapidly approaching from the sky!”
