A Golden-Haired Dream

Chapter 17616 words6 min read

The sun was high in the sky, its warm light streaming through the window into the room.

Liyahiss rubbed her dry eyes and stretched her slender waist. She had to admit, there was nothing quite like the feeling of waking up naturally. First, she used [Auto-Cleanse], then [Instant Wardrobe] to slip into her princess gown. Magic really was just that convenient.

Opening her door, she saw Hillisa packing away small items while Belzebub was eating with wild abandon. So what if she was the last to wake?

“Master, good morning.”

“You’re up so early,” Liyahiss said to Hillisa. “Did you sleep well last night?”

Hillisa’s pretty face flushed at the question. “Thanks to you, Master, I slept very peacefully.”

“That’s good to hear. We’ll leave as soon as you’re finished packing.”

Once Hillisa had finished, Liyahiss activated [Rampant Devour] from her [King of Avarice] talent, sucking all the household goods from the villa into her personal dimension. All that remained was an empty shell, but even that couldn’t be allowed to fall into another’s hands. Belzebub had issued a warning earlier, but there were always those who didn’t fear death.

Liyahiss activated her [King of Phantasm] ability. The entire villa suddenly grew illusory, then transparent, vanishing as if it had never existed in the first place.

“Belzebub, transform now!”

Belzebub reverted to her true dragon form. Liyahiss and Hillisa mounted her back, with Hillisa holding tightly to Liyahiss.

Why not fly myself? To conserve my strength for emergencies, of course. It definitely wasn’t because I’m lazy.

They flew at great speed, yet felt no biting wind against their faces, as Belzebub skillfully controlled the air currents around them as she soared.

Gradually, Liyahiss’s head leaned back, resting against the soft warmth of Hillisa’s chest. She inhaled a familiar scent and closed her eyes to rest. Hillisa gently stroked Liyahiss’s beautiful hair, feeling its silken texture. Liyahiss didn’t object, simply lying there in quiet repose.

Her mind began to empty, her consciousness slowly sinking.

When she opened her eyes again, she was surrounded by a vibrant meadow. Bees and butterflies flitted among the flowers and lush greenery, shimmering under a soft, radiant light.

“Why are you spacing out?”

A lively, melodic female voice called out from behind her. Turning, she saw a sweet-looking girl with golden hair, her hands held behind her back as if hiding some mysterious treasure.

“Ta-da!”

The blonde girl pulled a woven flower crown from behind her back and placed it upon her own head.

“Hmph, hmph. What do you think? Is it pretty?”

The blonde girl’s eyes curved into crescents as she beamed a sweet, lovely smile. A gentle breeze rustled past, making the petals tremble and carrying their refreshing fragrance through the air.

When no reply came, the blonde girl’s smile began to falter. It faded completely, replaced by an adorable pout.

“Why are you staring blankly again?”

Then, as if she’d figured something out, she covered her mouth and chuckled. “Could it be? Are you stunned by my beauty?” She then feigned the exasperation of an adult dealing with a child, placing a hand on her forehead. “I don’t know what to do with you. It’s a sin to be this cute~”

“…”

“But I’m also a little worried. What if you get tricked by some curvy, wicked woman?”

“…”

“Oh well, we can worry about the future later. Come on, I found something fun.”

The scene shifted, and the blonde girl was suddenly running ahead, glancing back with a smile.

“Hurry up! If you catch me, I’ll let you… hehehe…”
