A Pervert’s Punishment and a Divine Solution

Chapter 23 • 1,414 words • 12 min read

A yelp escaped Gloria as the touch on her ear startled her sensitive nerves. She abruptly released X’s small hand, which she had been embracing, then instinctively swung a palm wreathed in white flames towards X, who still appeared insatiably playful.

Smack! The crisp sound reverberated through the vast, empty mental space.

X gazed at the petite back now turned away, then caressed the white handprint on her face—a mark that stung to her very soul—and let out a foolish giggle.

“Hehehe…”

“You absolute pervert, don’t push your luck!” Gloria huffed, crossing her arms and turning around. “Know your place! I am a Blasphemous Demon God, embodying chaos and sin, and I will not tolerate such sacrilege from you.” She then irritably tapped X’s head with her small fist. “Now, do you understand your mistake?”

“I know I was wrong, my most majestic Demon God-chan,” X declared, her tone dripping with mock sincerity. “I now fully endorse your words and am eager to become your most honest servant. I swear, I shall harbor no ulterior motives and conceal nothing from you ever again. My body and soul shall utterly belong to you. I willingly pledge to you as my reborn Loli Mother!”

Despite X’s seemingly earnest words, her expression remained utterly shameless and unrepentant. Clearly, X’s journey toward character reform was far from complete. Nonetheless, the mere act of revealing her true self could be considered a slight improvement.

“Hah,” Gloria sighed, clasping her hands behind her back as her eyes drifted to the distant horizon.

Dismissing X’s attitude as a secondary concern, Gloria realized a task of far greater import lay before them: completely freeing X from the relentless harassment of the Outer Gods. Ideally, she hoped to keep those inconsequential nobodies from ever entering X’s sight, sparing her own eyes from such defilement.

To achieve this, X’s body required defensive gear capable of repelling otherworldly divine power and the malevolent will of evil gods, ideally of artifact-grade.

Yet, the spatial dimension where Gloria stored her many practical artifacts had vanished along with her body, thanks to a critical loophole in the Sistia World. Even the incredibly resilient End By, suffering from both the loophole and the interference of Outer Gods, is now damaged, incapable of delivering even one percent of its former power.

Moreover, End By was merely a versatile tool, not a piece of defensive armor. While it could indeed be utilized to gather materials from this world, any materials originating from within the world itself—save for the World Crystal Core—were inherently inferior; they possessed no psionic energy or spirituality and offered no resistance against the world’s governing laws.

Gear fashioned from such shoddy materials couldn’t even meet the minimum standard for a 26th-tier holy artifact, proving utterly incapable of even channeling Gloria’s divine power.

She had no confidence in such imitations.

While the Void Evil Gods varied wildly in power, a substantial number of them possessed the ability to transcend the conventional world laws of roughly the 20th tier. They could bypass a world’s inherent defenses, launching invasions against its inhabitants or seizing and devouring its World Crystal Core. Surely, one couldn’t expect a 25th-tier defensive item to ward off countless Outer Gods from the void, all of whom surpassed the 20th tier?

Moreover, the tier rules dictated by the Laws of Reason implied that the gap between each tier was far more significant than a mere level in a game; it was akin to the profound transformations experienced during a first, second, or third class advancement in different professions.

While an advancement in tier didn’t always guarantee a rise in level or raw strength, the soul’s essence invariably drew closer to the truth of the void, and the physical growth limit experienced a qualitative leap. Consequently, if the Void Evil Gods ever took an interest in a world, they would overwhelm it like a monstrous tsunami. In mere moments, the World Crystal Core would be splintered into millions of minute fragments, and any beings incapable of resisting the tumultuous shifts in the world’s laws would inevitably face utter annihilation, both body and soul.

Yet, Gloria, a notorious villain acknowledged throughout the Supreme Divine Realm, was a villain with principles. It was inconceivable that she would disregard the intelligent life within a world, seize its World Crystal Core, and use it to craft defensive gear for X. Such an act would be entirely counterproductive.

Still, having witnessed the Sistia World’s riddled defenses, she harbored no illusions that this low-tier world, with its paltry defensive capabilities, could possibly yield any treasures capable of repelling evil gods.

But how, precisely, was this problem to be solved? Hmm? Why is this little pervert tugging at my clothes? Gloria wondered. Is she trying to peel a fruit for easier consumption?

“Hehe, I just wanted to feel it,” X purred, seeing that Gloria had caught her little transgression. With a defiant ‘I’m a hooligan, who cares?’ expression, she kept tugging at the sheer ribbon on Gloria’s skirt, even giving it another playful tug. “Just as I thought—it’s light and cool, like jelly, no worse than my black stockings. I truly wish I could have a taste.”

“Eat, eat, eat, is that all you ever think about? Why don’t you just eat yourself?” Gloria retorted, only to realize her blunder the moment the words left her lips. This creature had, after all, already consumed herself entirely.

“I just think, Gloria-chan, you look truly sensual and adorable in clothes like these,” X continued, “just like a slippery jellyfish.”

“Hmph, flattery holds no sway over me; I’m not falling for that,” Gloria scoffed, pursing her lips. With a subtle flick of her foot, she teleported out of X’s reach. “However, this has reminded me of something.”

“Reminded you of what?” X asked, her expression one of utter bewilderment. “Reminded you of how utterly delicious and alluring you are?”

“It reminded me that you, my dear, are a massive pervert who loves wearing the Emperor’s New Clothes without even realizing it!”

A sudden flush crept onto X’s cheeks as she recalled that her body had remained completely bare since her awakening. Despite being a pervert with intense desires, she was not one to casually display her exquisite form before others. She still harbored the complete heart of a maiden, after all (actual product may vary).

Gloria’s earlier dealings had so preoccupied X’s mind that she had completely overlooked her state, nearly flying out of the ocean entirely unclothed! If, by some unfortunate chance, a space satellite had captured her, and the footage ended up on the Heart of the Galaxy’s public network, she would undoubtedly be mortified enough to burrow straight into the Earth’s core.

Hah, a counter-move! Gloria inwardly cheered. Forming a quick plan, she waved her small hand, projecting the details of a low-tier artifact-grade defensive item directly into X’s mental space.

Name: Silver Touch – All that is touched is false

Grade: 42nd-tier Low-Grade Artifact

Requirements: None, recommended for spell-assassins

Appearance: Silver-gray silk. Its essence is a spiritual body, while its physical form is a simulated projection of ultra-dark matter.

Description: A divine-grade material meticulously stripped from the tentacles of a Blasphemous Demon God’s sub-entity. Its properties were fixed by the profound truths of End and Origin, and the Demon God herself bestowed upon it a myriad of attributes, including permanence, compatibility, mortality, and incorporeality. Furthermore, it possesses a potent divine power suppression effect, enabling its wearer to conceal their divinity, reduce their presence to absolute zero, and effortlessly mingle among ordinary mortals.

Effect: While it does not wield the lesser powers of the truths of End and Origin, and its real-world defensive capabilities are meager, it nonetheless harbors the core of dark magic personally developed by the Demon God. This magical principle, transcending most conventional laws, can efficiently resist divine power below the 40th tier and effectively prevent mental invasion. Concurrently, when confronted by lower-tier divine beings, it can extensively mask the wearer’s aura, mimic the enemy’s soul signature, and thus effectively prevent being swarmed by a multitude of lesser foes.

Note: When wielded by the Demon God herself, the Silver Touch can fully unleash its inherent properties, transforming into a staff-like implement that extends casting range, accelerates casting speed, and offers both formidable offense and defense.

“Wow, such incredible equipment! Is Lady Gloria giving it to me… wait, don’t cut it with a knife! You’re destroying a priceless treasure!”
