The Scene Was Extremely Explosive

Chapter 781,695 words15 min read

First, Family Head Lin Xiong of the Lin family arrived at Yunhua Sect to pay his respects to First Elder Yunhong.

Following that, Yan Yun had already reached the perfected stage of the Spirit Gathering Realm.

She was now preparing to break through to the Cavern Heaven Realm, and Yan Yun was likely the first person in Yunhua Sect’s history to cultivate a foundational realm to its absolute peak.

Once she broke through to the Cavern Heaven Realm, her combat power would directly rival that of cultivators in the minor accomplishment stage of the Spirit Transformation Realm; however, it remained unclear how difficult this breakthrough would be, prompting Yan Yun to prepare several large vats of venom and a plethora of poisons for herself.

She had already informed Wen Meng and others not to allow anyone to disturb her before her breakthrough was complete today.

Wen Meng, along with several other cultivators who had already broken through to the Cavern Heaven Realm, stood guard specifically at the entrance to protect her.

“Has it not started yet? Can the Pavilion Master succeed? I feel that even for us, breaking through from minor accomplishment of Spirit Gathering to Cavern Heaven Realm is difficult; she’s at the perfected stage of Spirit Gathering Realm, so wouldn’t her breakthrough be several times harder?” Duan Ming asked, his voice laced with worry.

“It will certainly be incredibly difficult, but if the Pavilion Master succeeds, she will be the first cultivator in Yunhua Sect’s history to break through to the Cavern Heaven Realm from the grand perfected stage of the Spirit Gathering Realm. I’ve heard that such a breakthrough will be vastly different from that of conventional Cavern Heaven Realm cultivators, and I eagerly anticipate the Pavilion Master performing a miracle.” Mu Wenjie added.

Wen Meng, meanwhile, remained silent, her face etched with profound worry as she gazed into the pavilion.

Within the pavilion, Yan Yun had completed her preparations.

“Ancestral Elder, we can begin now. I hope to break through to the Cavern Heaven Realm smoothly,” Yan Yun said, her face alight with anticipation.

Yan Lingyun immediately floated out from Yan Yun’s body.

“Rest assured, I will be watching closely, and with your astonishing willpower, breaking through will certainly not be an issue. Still, remember my words: you must treat every breakthrough as a life-or-death trial, and never, ever let your guard down,” Yan Lingyun reminded her.

From Yan Lingyun’s expression, it was clear that despite her encouraging words, Yan Yun’s breakthrough would undoubtedly still be fraught with difficulty.

Yet, in this situation, Yan Yun had no retreat; she could only brace herself and forge ahead.

Without further hesitation, she reached out to unfasten her clothes, then stepped into one of the exceptionally large medicine vats, which was twice the size of the others.

Once inside the vat, she took a deep breath and began circulating her poison cultivation technique.

The next moment, a surge of potent toxic energy from the medicinal liquid, like a gushing spring, poured into Yan Yun’s body.

Her breakthrough had officially commenced.

Meanwhile, Lin Xiong was conversing with Yunhong in the Tiangang Peak Pavilion.

“Senior Yunhong, what exactly has happened to my son? You asked me to come here and take him back to the Lin family?” Lin Xiong inquired cautiously.

Yunhong took a sip of tea, his expression grave, and remained silent for a long moment.

Truth be told, if he had a choice, he wouldn’t want to do this, but Lin Mo’s cultivation had caused such a drastic change in his temperament that it greatly vexed Yunhong.

Furthermore, if word of this incident spread, where would he put his old face? He feared he would become the laughingstock of Yunhua Sect, or even the entire Jiang Country.

“He cultivated a poison cultivation technique, and it affected his mind. You’ll understand once you see him later,” Yunhong stated, his tone tinged with irritation.

Lin Xiong was startled; while he knew Lin Mo’s cultivation had produced side effects, he had no clear understanding of their specific nature.

For some reason, a sense of foreboding suddenly washed over him.

“Then, I implore you, First Elder, please take me to see Lin Mo. If he has displeased you in any way, I will certainly discipline him severely. I beg you, First Elder, please grant him another chance,” Lin Xiong pleaded, rising to kneel before Yunhong.

If he were to take Lin Mo back to the Lin family today, the outside world would surely interpret it as Yunhong severing ties with their Lin family, which would be a colossal blow to their family’s influence within Jiang Country.

Yunhong sighed softly.

“Rise. I will take you to see him now, but I hope you can help him return to normal. Otherwise, I, Yunhong, have no desire to keep a deranged disciple in Tiangang Peak Pavilion.”

With a wave of his hand, Yunhong enveloped Lin Xiong in his power, transforming them into a streak of light that soared towards Lin Mo’s dwelling.

Given his cultivation, they arrived in an instant. After landing outside Lin Mo’s residence, Yunhong immediately swept his hand, forcibly dismantling the protective formation around Lin Mo’s abode.

“Lin Mo, your father has arrived. You two father and son should meet. I hope you’ll think clearly about whether you wish to remain in Yunhua Sect or return to the Lin family; do not let the Lin family down.” Yunhong called out to the inside, his tone indicating a lack of further patience.

Lin Xiong knew that something dreadful must have befallen his son, otherwise Yunhong would not have spoken with such cold finality.

Thus, with a heart full of trepidation, he stepped inside.

“Father has arrived. Come in, it has been many years since your child has seen you,” Lin Mo’s effeminate voice echoed from within, and simultaneously, the pavilion’s grand door swung open.

Hearing this unfamiliar, effeminate voice, Lin Xiong’s expression shifted once more.

‘This voice… is it Mo’er? It doesn’t sound like him at all. How can this be?’

Lin Xiong took a deep breath and entered the pavilion. Once inside, his gaze swept around, quickly settling on Lin Mo’s bedroom.

“Father, I am here. Please come in,” Lin Mo’s voice resonated once more.

Lin Xiong approached with a sense of dread, but upon opening the door, he saw only a woman, dressed in vibrant purple female attire and styled with a woman’s hairdo, seated with her back to him at the dressing table in the room, meticulously grooming herself.

‘This?’ Lin Xiong thought, observing the distinctly feminine room. ‘How could this be my son’s dwelling?’

Just as he was about to ask where Lin Mo was, the “woman” seated at the dressing table suddenly rose, a hint of effeminate smile gracing her lips, and turned around.

“Father, it has been a long time.”

As the figure turned, Lin Mo’s pale skin and an ambiguous, neither male nor female face made Lin Xiong, the old father, recoil sharply, his eyes widening. He looked as if he had seen a ghost, stumbling back several steps in sheer terror.

“You, you?” He stammered, pointing at Lin Mo, his lips trembling, utterly at a loss for words to describe his current feelings.

“Father, what’s wrong? Are you frightened by Mo’er’s appearance? Don’t be afraid. Ever since I successfully cultivated the poison cultivation technique, I have fully understood what I truly desire. Rest assured, I am still myself; I am still your son.” Lin Mo said, walking towards Lin Xiong.

Lin Xiong, however, was utterly terrified and bewildered.

This Lin Mo was unlike some delicate woman who naturally possessed a feminine face; even if such a woman were to feign, she would never truly have a man’s face.

For such a woman, wearing female attire would not feel out of place at all. But Lin Mo was different; one glance at his face clearly revealed him to be a man.

‘A man’s face, paired with a woman’s image, complete with gaudy, heavy makeup—it’s terrifying to behold. My first thought is that this person must be insane.’

“Lin Mo, what in the world has happened to you? Hurry up and wash that heavy makeup off your face for your father, and take off those clothes immediately!”

After his initial terror, Lin Xiong’s entire demeanor shifted into a furious rage.

What father could bear to see his son transformed into such an ambiguous, neither male nor female state?

Lin Xiong was now simultaneously horrified and enraged.

“No, Father, I have accepted my current self, and I do not wish to change back. I implore you, Father, to grant me this. From now on, please consider me your daughter. I have even given myself a new name, Lin Mo. I also hope you can help me persuade Master to accept this outcome.”

Lin Mo walked step by step towards Lin Xiong.

However, Lin Xiong was not Yunhong.

“You scoundrel! I painstakingly raised you, only for you to turn into this monstrous appearance? Lin Mo, wake up! You must have suffered qi deviation during cultivation and lost your mind to inner demons!”

Lin Xiong roared in fury, striding towards Lin Mo like an enraged lion, and forcefully tore at her female attire.

In his eyes, this was an immense humiliation; his proud son had become this, filling his heart with profound sorrow.

Under Lin Xiong’s furious tearing, Lin Mo’s female clothes were instantly ripped to shreds.

As for Lin Mo, she could only endure in silence.

“Father, you—you cannot humiliate me like this!”

Lin Mo, sprawled on the ground, covered her body and cried out, her face contorted with aggrieved indignation.

Seeing Lin Mo in this state, Lin Xiong was on the verge of losing his mind. His gaze swept around, and upon locating water, he used his spiritual power to draw it and splash it directly onto her face. He then vigorously scrubbed her face until the heavy makeup was completely removed.

However, in Lin Mo’s eyes, all of this was nothing short of blatant humiliation, and a fierce resentment towards Lin Xiong instantly flared within her.
