A Night at the Bar

Chapter 76 • 1,057 words • 9 min read

From the outside, the bar appeared quiet and desolate, but the interior was a completely different scene.

An old record player on the front table played soft classical music, the melodious tunes adding a hint of intimacy to the dimly lit bar. Groups of young, beautiful girls chatted and laughed at different tables, some even engaging in rather inappropriate behavior.

This was the bar for you!

‘I want to leave…’

Chloe began to feel frightened. In her eyes, these girls with their unusual orientations were no better than the perverts she had encountered. Some of them would slyly use their same-s*x relationships to subtly approach and touch you, making you believe it was just a normal, intimate interaction between girls. Before you knew it, you’d be trapped, already a part of their world.

The best way to deal with such cunning people was to stay away.

‘What, you mean Chloe is one of them too?’

But how could that be the same? She’s a boy who turned into a girl, how could anyone say she’s one of them?

‘Anna, come on, just sit for a bit and keep me company, okay?’

Anna nudged Chloe towards the bar’s interior. Some of the girls drinking alone noticed the newcomer and cast intense, purposeful glances, making Chloe’s spine tingle with unease. She felt as if she were a peeled egg, her body exposed and vulnerable under their eager, roving gazes. These older women had such strong desires!

‘Hey, Anna, you’re late!’

A server carrying drinks walked up to them, her eyes flicking down to Chloe, her expression turning strange.

‘I had some things to take care of. Is it busy tonight?’

‘You, how could you bring a little girl here? You know the rules, right?’ The server patted Anna’s shoulder, her tone carrying a hint of warning.

Anna chuckled and replied, ‘She’s already sixteen, so it’s not against the rules. I just wanted to show her around. There’s a spot in the corner, right?’

The server crouched down, leaning in close to Chloe’s face, her eyes widening at Chloe’s delicate features. Her hand moved towards Chloe’s face without a second thought.

‘Eh?’ Chloe stepped back, wrinkling her nose at the strong, mingled scent of alcohol. Were all these women so pungent? They all seemed to want to touch her face the moment they met her.

Seeing the girl flinch, the server smiled awkwardly.

‘Don’t be scared, little one. I’m a straight girl, I work here, but I’m not like the others.’

Chloe still looked unconvinced. Which straight girl would be so captivated by someone she just met that she’d want to touch their face?

With a shrug, the server stood up and said to Anna, ‘There’s a spot in the corner. Where did you find someone so high-quality? You better take good care of her. I never would have guessed you’d like this type!’

Couldn’t you keep your voice down? Chloe had heard every word!

‘Anna, I said I just wanted to show her around, not that we’re in a relationship.’

‘Anna, I get it. You’re not confused yet, right?’

The server patted Anna’s shoulder again, gave Chloe a final appreciative look, and returned to work.

Ladies, I’m here!

This bar was anything but normal!

Chloe partly agreed with the server’s assessment. What was there to see in a place like this, anyway? Its only unique feature was that it attracted girls with the same interests.

Chloe could sense that Anna had some feelings for her, but since Anna hadn’t been clear, Chloe wasn’t sure.

Anna looked around and found a corner seat, pulling Chloe by the hand towards it.

‘Just sit here for a bit. If you want anything to drink, I’ll get it for you.’

‘I’m not thirsty.’

‘Anna, I’ll get you a glass of orange juice.’

‘No, really—’

Before Chloe could finish, Anna had already headed to the counter, clearly not listening.

Sigh… I guess I can stay out a little longer. I don’t want to go back and see that person…

Yet, Chloe realized that her life now seemed to revolve around that person. Her thoughts were consumed with memories and concerns related to her, leaving little room for anything else. Essentially, her mind had been molded into that person’s shape…

How frustrating!

Chloe sighed repeatedly, propping her chin up as she watched the joyful girls in the bar. She was in a corner, where the bar’s subdued lighting barely reached, leaving her in near darkness. It was just like her life—all the light belonged to others, while she was left in the shadows…

‘Little one, why are you sighing all by yourself?’

A woman dressed in a vibrant, alluring style approached, her smile as radiant as a blossoming flower. Her revealing outfit and high heels accentuated her femininity, making her irresistible not just to men, but to women as well. Compared to her, Chloe, with her petite frame, couldn’t possibly match that allure. Although her body was quite attractive for her height, with her delicate curves and slender waist, she lacked the mature charm. If she wore something as revealing as the other woman, she might only look enticing in a criminal way.

Her subtle features, paired with daring clothes, only emphasized her youthful awkwardness, creating a stark contrast.

If she dressed like that, that person would definitely be furious! Ugh… why am I thinking about her again?

The strange woman boldly sat next to Chloe, her warm hand slipping under her skirt, gently caressing her thigh.

‘Sorry… I don’t like it when people get this close…’

Chloe wanted to firmly resist, but considering the unfamiliar environment and the potential for conflict, she chose to handle it coolly, subtly moving away and pushing the woman’s hand off.

A young girl alone in a place like this must have a broken heart, she thought. Initially, the girl might resist, but with a little comfort, she could easily be won over. After all, she wasn’t the first to encounter this situation, just the youngest.

She couldn’t help but lick her lips in anticipation.

‘Little fox, who is this?’

Anna returned with a glass of orange juice, her eyes flicking from the woman to Chloe with a question.
