Xi Yao propped herself up slightly, leaning against the pillows to sit upright, finally able to take in the full view of the older sister.
Her soft, light-colored long hair framed a gentle, beautiful face, making her appear like a beauty stepped right out of a painting.
She possessed an excellent figure, yet it differed from the youthful pride of Xi Yao or Xi Ruo, which commanded a respectful awe.
Jiang Wan, however, held no imposing air; her graceful form exuded a mature, embracing aura, characteristic of an older sister.
Simply seeing her evoked a feeling of softness, like the pillow enveloping Xi Yao, promising complete safety.
‘What young girl could resist the charm of such an older sister?’
“You haven’t engaged in such intense exercise for quite some time, so your body isn’t accustomed to the sudden strain,” Jiang Wan remarked softly, slowly approaching the bedside. “Next time, don’t be so eager. Take it slow.”
She tucked a few strands of her light-colored hair behind her ear, revealing a delicate profile.
Upon seeing this familiar hair color, Xi Yao suddenly recalled something.
‘That’s right, Jiang Li mentioned that the school doctor was her biological sister.’
‘And…’
“Older sister, I heard Jiang Li say that you’d help me as an exercise consultant?” Xi Yao inquired cautiously.
‘Initially, I felt a bit awkward, like I was imposing on someone, but today I discovered that Jiang Li’s sister is such a gentle beauty.
‘In that case… well, it would be rude not to accept.’
“Yes, Xiao Li did mention it to me, but,” Jiang Wan said, lowering her eyelids, her long lashes concealing the nervousness and unease in her gaze, “do you agree?”
“I agree,” Xi Yao responded without a moment’s hesitation. “Absolutely, I agree.”
‘Of course I have to agree! No more discussion, this consultant is a must-have!’
‘But is it really okay for me to be like this? It makes me seem like I’m just after her beauty.’
So she added, “Originally, I didn’t think it was necessary, but today’s experience has shown me that an exercise consultant is very much needed.”
‘Right? I fainted from running today, so it’s perfectly reasonable for me to be eager for a professional consultant, isn’t it?’
“Mm, that’s wonderful then,” Jiang Wan murmured, suppressing the flutter in her heart before turning towards the stove. “The porridge is almost ready; I’ll bring it over for you.”
If she continued to face Xi Yao directly, Jiang Wan feared she wouldn’t be able to hide the delight in her heart, allowing it to show on her face.
Simply put, she couldn’t maintain her composure; her lips curved into a crescent moon, as radiant as her entire being.
‘Finally, this day has come.’
Jiang Wan had first developed an accidental fondness for this young girl half a year ago.
Though the two had barely met a few times, she couldn’t deny it was infatuation at first sight.
Yet, it was precisely because of this that, during the days she couldn’t see Xi Yao, a faint shadow of her began to emerge in Jiang Wan’s heart, growing wildly like a green vine across the blank canvas of her mind.
Initially, the intern school doctor position was assigned by the school, and to be frank, Jiang Wan had been unwilling to take on the job.
Just as Jiang Li had suspected, the work was beneath her, almost boring in its simplicity.
That was until the busty young girl stumbled into her line of sight.
Their initial meeting was brief, and their interactions lacked any romantic overtures, yet in the midst of her mundane days, the girl’s image began to surface in Jiang Wan’s mind, leading the older sister to indulge in flights of fancy.
‘Her everyday appearance, her vibrant, uninjured self, her gentle demeanor as she settled into my embrace, then slowly shed her outer garments…’
‘Ahem, there’s no helping it.
‘An older sister is already a mature adult, and it’s perfectly reasonable for an adult to think adult thoughts.’
In short, what might have begun as a way to alleviate boredom, gradually transformed into Jiang Wan’s deep attraction to her own fantasies, ultimately ensnaring her.
Her internship, which should have been a grueling experience, became a sweet delight because of Xi Yao’s presence.
When the semester concluded, the school informed her that her internship was successfully completed and she could return to further her studies.
Yet, at that moment, Jiang Wan hesitated.
‘If I leave, it will be difficult to see her again.
‘Am I to continue fantasizing indefinitely, only to regret it for the rest of my life?’
Jiang Wan declined the school’s invitation, opting instead to intern for another two years.
She knew Xi Yao was about to enter her second year of high school, with two more years until graduation; within that time, opportunities were bound to arise.
That being said, Xi Yao rarely visited unless she had a physical ailment, making opportunities quite scarce.
Jiang Wan had even prepared herself to wait for two years… No, she corrected, with the half-year that had already passed, it would actually be two and a half years in total.
‘Two and a half years of waiting.
‘If no opportunity arose, then I would gather the courage to confess when she graduated.
‘During those long and arduous years, I would have to rely solely on the blank spaces in my heart for fantasies.’
What she hadn’t expected was…
“It’ll be ready in just a moment,” Jiang Wan announced, lifting the lid and gently scooping out the porridge. “Coming right up.”
‘Unexpectedly, thanks to her younger sister, I suddenly have numerous opportunities to interact with Xi Yao, and can even legitimately oversee her physical… health, entering her personal… life.’
‘So, life is full of surprises.
‘I only needed to wait half a year, not two and a half years at all.’
‘Surely no one would actually wait two and a half years, right?’
The fragrant shrimp porridge was brought before Xi Yao.
Jiang Wan scooped a small spoonful and gently blew on it to cool it.
“Ah~”
“Ah… wait,” Xi Yao stammered, her face flushing. “I can do it myself.”
‘Why is she still feeding me? That’s too formal; we’re practically sisters.’
“Just rest properly and don’t move around,” Jiang Wan said casually, gazing at her with tenderness. “Ah~~”
‘There was no real logic to her words, and she was too lazy to find an excuse.
‘Feeding her was the only goal.’
Jiang Wan’s tender gaze, soft as water, left Xi Yao unable to refuse, so she simply parted her cherry-red lips.
“Ah—”
‘Anyway, the doctor said I need more rest, and it’s always right to listen to the doctor.’
‘A-Yao is a well-behaved, good child.’
Jiang Wan thoroughly enjoyed this moment, sitting before Xi Yao, feeding her spoonful by spoonful.
Before each spoonful, she would blow on it herself to cool it, then deliver it to Xi Yao’s mouth.
‘It was almost like an indirect kiss… though, compared to a traditional indirect kiss, there was air acting as a middleman.’
‘But it didn’t matter; the wind would carry her thoughts and love.’
Xi Yao didn’t overthink it, simply feeling that the older school doctor sister was incredibly gentle, personally feeding her to care for her patient.
She couldn’t help but marvel once more at such a compassionate doctor.
‘Munch, munch!’
After finishing her meal, Xi Yao felt her body had largely recovered, and with the nourishment, her strength returned, so she prepared to leave.
“Won’t you stay… rest a bit longer?” Jiang Wan tried to persuade her.
“It’s fine, I’m already better,” Xi Yao said, clenching her small fists. “I’ll continue my training in a few days, and then I’ll trouble you again.”
‘Only a little over three weeks left.
‘Time waits for no one.’
“Well, alright then,” Jiang Wan conceded reluctantly. “Be careful on your way.”
She stood at the entrance of the school infirmary, her gentle gaze following the girl as she departed.
The bright morning sunlight streamed onto the path, like scattered thoughts carried by the wind.
‘The future has brightened.’

“I’m fine now. Seeing as there was still a class left, I rushed over,” Xi Yao explained to a surprised Jiang Li in the liberal arts Class Two classroom.
‘Is she really okay? But if Sister let her go, she must be fine.’
Jiang Li breathed a sigh of relief, then casually asked, “You’ve met my sister now, haven’t you? Her name is Jiang Wan.”
“Yes, we talked,” Xi Yao replied. “She’s going to be my exercise consultant, and we’ll officially start in a few days.”
Xi Yao waved a small hand, her spirits soaring.
Although her morning run had taken an unexpected turn today, meeting the beautiful, gentle older sister and having her join her team was truly a double blessing.
It was as if her future had brightened even further.
Yet, half a minute later, the girl blinked, suddenly remembering something.
“Wait a minute, Jiang Li, what did you just say… what’s your sister’s name?”
