The atmosphere was subtle.
Cohen and Viola stared at each other, unsure of what to say.
Cohen looked grave, while Viola seemed somewhat bewildered.
He was currently holding a little girl in his arms, and this little girl was affectionately calling Cohen “Master.”
This little girl had smooth, silvery-white hair, loosely styled into two buns on either side of her head.
She wore a stylish short shirt and pleated skirt, her legs covered in slightly sheer white stockings, and she swung her feet leisurely on Cohen, shod in a pair of black Mary Jane shoes.
Cohen gently put her down, walking towards Viola with hesitant steps.
Cohen led Viola to the side, asking with a grim expression:
“What’s going on? Am I now a criminal for luring an innocent little girl?”
Viola’s expression was solemn, as she was also encountering this situation for the first time:
“I… I’m not really sure…”
She had seen many students summon spirits at the Manifestation Hall, but none had ever directly summoned a living person like Cohen had.
“If this gets out, it will definitely cause quite a stir. Just in case, let’s keep it a secret for now.”
“But what about her?”
Cohen was at a loss; he had actually summoned a living person instead of a weapon.
“It’s not like there’s no solution, and she did call you ‘Master’ just now, right?”
Viola gave Cohen a meaningful look.
Combining the situation just now, since the little girl called Cohen “Master,” there was another possibility.
Viola was eager to know.
“Cohen, go call her over here.”
“M-me?”
“Are you going to make me go when you’re the one who summoned her? Or are you thinking of disobeying a royal order?”
Viola teased Cohen; he really didn’t dare disobey the princess’s orders.
The villain is like this, always being stepped on by others like a DOG.
Cohen moved stiffly, a forced smile on his face, as he turned back to the little loli standing to the side.
“Um… what’s your name?”
“Me? I have many titles. As for a name, I haven’t really thought about it~”
The little girl tilted her head slightly to the side, smiling at Cohen.
Cohen looked like a black guy holding his head in shock.
The one he summoned was actually a blank slate girl?
No weapon was one thing, but what was he supposed to do with a person?
“It’s okay, Master. I’m not just anyone, watch me!”
As she spoke, the little loli began to glow and rapidly transform.
Soon, she had transformed herself into a silvery-white longsword.
“Wow! A live transformation, huh… you can play like this?”
Cohen had never seen a person turn into a weapon before; at least, he, a longtime gamer, had never witnessed such a situation.
But Viola’s eyes widened at the sight, her grey-black eyes gleaming with excitement.
It was astonishment, conviction, and elation.
“I’m not mistaken… there’s no mistaking this situation…”
It was something that only appeared in legends, something that hadn’t been recorded in the entire continent for over a hundred years.
Viola strode towards the sword, lowered her body, and respectfully said:
“You… are you a Divine Artifact Spirit?”
“Hmm~ I seem to have that nickname. Do you have anything else you want to ask, big sister?”
Her silvery-white blade shimmered, telling the two of them in a naive voice.
Viola grabbed Cohen’s shoulders, unable to contain her delighted expression.
“Cohen! You can actually summon a Divine Artifact Spirit!
You really don’t disappoint me! It’s so great that you’re by my side. Hahaha!”
Cohen looked at Viola’s distorted expression, feeling like the world had gone crazy.
Was this really the princess he knew?
“No, I need to calm down… Try out her abilities, Cohen! Promise me! I order you in the name of the royal family!”
Well, there was no escaping this.
Cohen picked up the sword, which she had transformed into.
He expected it to be heavy, but it was surprisingly light, yet still felt substantial in his hand.
It was as if she was catering to his feelings.
Cohen tried swinging it, and the sharp sound of the air being cut through told of the sword’s incredible sharpness.
“Then…”
Cohen got into position, using several sword techniques he knew well.
“Five-Consecutive Slashes!”
Several beams of light flashed through the air, leaving deep cuts in several pillars in the Manifestation Hall.
Subsequently, the pillars collapsed into piles of rubble, scattering across the ground.
“I’m going…”
Cohen had never unleashed such a powerful move before, feeling like his own skills were child’s play compared to this kind of power.
“I can do it again…”
An extremely intense feeling of exhaustion instantly washed over Cohen’s entire body, and he immediately collapsed to the ground.
Cohen couldn’t even lift a finger.
So, Cohen, what is the price?
The sword in Cohen’s hand transformed back into the white-haired little loli, squatting down and smiling at Cohen.
“With your current strength, using one move is already pretty good~”
“…..”
Cohen wanted to retort, but he didn’t even have the strength to speak.
“I can tell from your movements that you don’t just know this one martial art, right?
I can turn into more than just a sword, you have a lot of room to grow~ Oh, and big sister over there, can you help my Master up?”
Viola trotted over, helped Cohen up, and led him out of the room, settling him on a wooden bench nearby, while she talked with the little loli.
“Divine Artifact Spirit-sama, why did you become interested in Cohen?”
Viola’s eyes gleamed, but she still maintained a reserved demeanor.
“Because his wish is very interesting~ Think about it, he’s going to hang the other gods up and beat them!”
“Just because of that reason?”
“Is that not allowed? I thought the wish your father made to me back then was boring enough.”
“Wh-…”
Viola was about to say something, but she was silenced by the little loli with some kind of power.
“Keep it down~ What’s with the surprise? I still want to see what he can do~ Having a sense of mystery makes for more surprises, doesn’t it?”
Viola just sat there blankly, she had so many questions.
She vaguely guessed the little loli’s identity, but when she truly learned her identity, all words and rhetoric became false.
Because you can’t deceive her, you can’t get any answers from her.
She only has what she wants and doesn’t want, and you have no choice.
“He’s an interesting person too, don’t you think so?
But don’t say anything pious to me, coming down this time, there might already be a lot of trouble coming our way.”
The little loli jumped and landed nimbly on the ground, then ran towards Cohen.
“Time is almost up.”
Cohen opened his eyes with difficulty, immediately meeting a pair of sky-blue eyes.
“Are you okay, Master~?”
“Where am I?”
“You used the power of the Divine Artifact Spirit, and were over-exhausted, causing you to faint.”
Viola sat next to Cohen, looking at him with her face propped up in her hands.
“I see…”
Cohen looked up at the dim yellow sky, realizing that it was already dusk.
“Has it been that long?”
“It’s time to give her a name, you don’t want to keep calling her little loli, do you? Weirdo.”
“That’s true.”
Cohen propped himself up with his hands and looked at her carefully.
He thought of a cute foreign girl he had met in his previous life.
Her name was also quite cute, in his memory.
“Then I’ll call you, Nieve, how’s that?”
The little loli’s eyes lit up instantly, jumping up in excitement.
Yay!
“I! From now on, I’m Nieve~! Master!”
