Return to Comfort

Chapter 231,097 words10 min read

Bai Xia quickly transformed back, tugging her pants back on after they had slipped down due to her shrinking size. She rushed out of the police station. As she walked home, her long, white hair had returned to its natural black short style, and her ruby-red eyes were now a simple brown. Yet, her heart raced, unable to find peace.

Indeed… the identity crisis that had plagued her for so long was solved in just a few words by her classmate, Mo Bai. How could she not be thrilled?

Now that she had a legitimate identity, she no longer had to worry about her status. At the very least, she could find some decent work.

But how could she ever thank Mo Bai for such a huge favor?

Bai Xia walked and pondered this question. When she returned to Xicheng First Village, the lockdown was gradually being lifted, and the disrupted rhythm of life was slowly returning to normal. The streets were bustling with people, and vendors called out to one another.

She loved the slow pace of life here, but she couldn’t help feeling like something was missing.

Yet, what could be more important than walking safely home?

Bai Xia, free from worries, hummed a light tune as she wandered through the alleys of the village, finally arriving at her rented room. She swiped her keycard and went upstairs, not seeing her landlord, which strangely made her feel relieved.

After all, she had put a lot of effort into convincing the landlord to rent to her, so she feared the landlord might come to her door and refuse to let her stay any longer.

She had grown fond of the small room and didn’t want to leave. It was comfortable, and she doubted she’d dare live alone in a big villa.

Bai Xia quietly unlocked the iron door, slipped inside, and locked it behind her, letting out a sigh of relief.

“Finally, I’m home,” she thought, looking at her body, intact and unharmed. The experience at the police station had felt like a dream.

If it weren’t for Mo Bai, she might have been taken away by the Blade Keepers Agency today.

Seeing no messages from Mo Bai, Bai Xia kicked off her shoes and removed her disguise. In an instant, the boy in the room transformed into a white-haired girl. Her pants slipped down, revealing her slim, fair legs, while her upper body was still clad in a large men’s shirt.

Now that she was home, why bother with all that? Comfort was key.

The girl slipped into slippers, ran a hand through her slightly disheveled long hair, and headed for the bathroom to take a long, hot shower. She hadn’t bathed since yesterday, and even her new clothes carried a hint of the smoke and alcohol from the bar.

The thought made her feel grimy.

In her room, she grabbed her change of clothes. For a girl who was usually a bit lazy, a pink nightgown paired with white cotton underwear with a butterfly bow was her most comfortable at-home outfit.

Plus, a nightgown was so much more comfortable than pajamas and convenient for certain tasks, like doing laundry.

She grabbed her clothes and towel, entering the small bathroom. Although it could only fit one person, it was clean and tidy.

After hanging up her clothes and towel, Bai Xia stood before the mirror, unbuttoning the man’s shirt. As the fabric fell, the mirror reflected her petite figure, with skin that glowed like pearls under the light, complemented by her waist-length hair. She was adorable.

Looking at her cute self in the mirror, Bai Xia couldn’t help but remember Mo Bai’s compliment from the police station, “You’re so cute like this,” still echoing in her ears.

Her cute face flushed pink, and her fingers twirled a strand of hair as her mind wandered.

Like, would Mo Bai ask her to do some weird things?

“…”

“Stupid, what am I thinking?”

Bai Xia shook her head, trying to dispel these inappropriate thoughts, especially the idea of being asked to do something unspeakable by her classmate.

Her small hand accidentally turned on the faucet, and the sudden rush of warm water interrupted her thoughts. She fumbled with the water temperature as her white hair, dampened by the steam, clung to her delicate neck and shoulders.

What was wrong with her?

Gazing at her flushed cheeks in the mirror, Bai Xia felt her heart racing. The warm water flowing over her fair skin couldn’t quench the strange heat rising within her. She pressed a hand to her heart, feeling an unusual throb.

Although she knew she needed Mo Bai’s blood to restore her energy, she was unaware that his blood had an arousing effect on her. At this moment, Bai Xia was like a teenage girl, developing a confusing and inexplicable attachment to Mo Bai.

But she didn’t realize it.

About half an hour later, Bai Xia emerged from the bathroom in a pink nightgown, her long white hair still dripping. She dried her hair with a towel and turned on the hairdryer, only relaxing completely when everything was in order. She then eagerly dove into her soft, cozy bed.

“Finally, I can rest a bit.”

She hugged her small pillow and rolled around on the bed, her flushed cheeks pressing into the pillow. Her pink nightgown rode up, revealing a glimpse of her fair, slim thighs and the edge of her white cotton underwear.

Mmmm…”

Her thighs rubbed against the blanket, and her cheeks grew even redder.

Gradually, her slender fingers traced along her body, slipping under the hem of her nightgown. The girl squirmed like a cat in heat, arching her back.

In just a moment, a soft, sweet moan escaped from beneath the pillow, and her legs straightened, her tiny toes curling as her delicate arches pressed against the sheet, leaving a faint trace.

After a while, Bai Xia lifted her head from the pillow, her white hair tangled and sticking to her red cheeks. Embarrassed, she pulled her hand from under her skirt, her fingertips glistening.

“…”

What was happening to her?

Bai Xia stared at the glistening tips, confusion and shame in her ruby-red eyes. She had used her classmate, Mo Bai, as a fantasy object, and this time, the sensation was unusually intense, leaving her body weak and limp, unable to muster any strength.

The girl blushed and buried her face in the pillow again, her red ears peeking through her white hair, trying to escape reality for a moment.
