Mistakes are a unique experience everyone encounters. Luo Yao was filled with regret. He regretted having consistently portrayed himself as a weak, young boy in the past.
While Luo Yao had been genuinely pleased after viewing the shop, the sight of Mu Yaochen before him instantly extinguished any trace of his happiness.
Their relationship had become peculiar. Luo Yao now relied on Mu Yaochen for his very survival, yet simultaneously yearned to break free from her control.
Mu Yaochen, however, wished for Luo Yao to remain by her side indefinitely, even intending to finance the repayment of his debts to her.
This miserable predicament stemmed from a series of fatal missteps made by both of them. Had Luo Yao and Mu Yaochen been candid with each other during their initial encounter, their current relationship might have been far more amicable.
Perhaps Luo Yao shouldn’t have feigned the role of a frail, powerless high school student. Yet, by the time regret gnawed at him, it was already too late. His persona had been firmly established, and unlike Mu Yaochen, he lacked the luxury of a high tolerance for error to overturn it.
Sensing the warmth radiating from Luo Yao beside her, Mu Yaochen remained somewhat sullen. Luo Yao’s earlier cheerfulness had been but a fleeting moment; once back in the car, his expression settled into its usual calm, an impassive mask reminiscent of Frost’s.
While Luo Yao’s stoic face remained undeniably handsome, his unreadable countenance inexplicably brought to Mu Yaochen’s mind Frost, who was likely working in her office at that very moment.

Gazing at the sky, now nearing dusk, Luo Yao’s thoughts drifted back to his own room. He was still pondering who could have possibly entered it.
‘Was it Frost? Or perhaps the maids? Mu Yaochen herself was a suspect, albeit a minor one. Yet, he couldn’t discount the possibility of two individuals being involved, both unaware of the other’s actions. One might be meticulously collecting his hair, while the other…’
The thought of those rumpled clothes sent a wave of nausea through Luo Yao.
