“What the hell? You actually brought that to school?”

I stared at Chen Shen, utterly speechless.

“Shhh!”

Chen Shen quickly made a shushing gesture, lowering his voice. “Keep it down! I’m only telling you this because I consider you a brother.”

‘I’d rather not know about this kind of thing. Out of sight, out of mind, right?’

“Why would you bring something like this to school? You’re not planning on using it during class, are you…?”

I gazed at Chen Shen, my face etched with disgust, utterly despising his perversion.

Chen Shen waved a dismissive hand, his eyes narrowing as he chuckled. “Brother, your thoughts are truly filthy. To think of using it during class!”

‘Being called filthy by Chen Shen, of all people, felt like a fool calling me an idiot.’

“Then why did you bring a fl—… why did you bring this thing here?”

I whispered to Chen Shen, shielding my mouth with my hand.

Chen Shen sighed.

“It’s all that delivery guy’s fault! He comes neither early nor late, but precisely when I was leaving for school this morning. My mom was home, and she nearly caught me.

“Thankfully, I’m quick-witted. I immediately stashed it in my backpack, so she didn’t find it. But then I couldn’t put it back in my room, so I had no choice but to bring it to school.

“Honestly, isn’t that delivery guy just the worst?”

‘You shouldn’t have bought this kind of thing in the first place. What does it have to do with the delivery guy? Didn’t you see the huge 18+ label on the package, are you blind?’

I shot Chen Shen another look of disdain. “So, what exactly do you plan to do with this thing?” I asked softly.

The chubby Chen Shen gave a lewd grin, glancing left and right.

To my shock, he pulled the item from his backpack.

He thrust it into my hand, declaring, “Such a fine treasure, of course, it’s for you, my esteemed Sect Master!”

I jumped, startled. The pink box in my hand felt like a burning hot potato.

I juggled it between my hands a few times before shoving it back into the chubby boy’s grasp.

The chubby boy flashed a fawning smile, like a subordinate currying favor with his boss, and pushed the box back into my hand.

I pushed it back to the chubby Chen Shen once more.

The chubby boy pushed it back to me again.

“I don’t acknowledge that! Besides, isn’t this ‘Animal Image Research Society’ just you? You should drop the ‘our’ from the name!”

I said, pushing it back to the chubby boy.

Suddenly, a cool, clear voice interrupted Chen Shen’s and my bickering.

Both Chen Shen and I froze, then slowly turned our heads.

We looked towards the pretty figure who had appeared beside our seats without us even noticing.

The girl wore a neat, single ponytail.

Her eyes had double eyelids, her lips were soft, and her face, though slightly thin, possessed an undeniable beauty.

Dressed in her school uniform, her overall image was that of a vibrant, youthful beauty.

Of course, none of that was the most important detail.

What truly mattered was that this girl was Lin Shujing, our Class Monitor!

She was known for her strict management, tolerating no misbehavior, and possessed an overwhelming sense of justice.

I quickly turned, intending to warn Chen Shen to put the item away.

Nevertheless, since Chen Shen had already put the item away, I felt a sense of relief.

Though, not knowing where Chen Shen had hidden it still left me with an ominous feeling.

“Good morning, Class Monitor,” I also greeted Lin Shujing with a smile.

Lin Shujing eyed both Chen Shen and me suspiciously, then let out a soft hum.

She extended a fair, slender hand.

“What were you two arguing about? Hand it over.”

‘Hey, Class Monitor, your words are a bit off. I certainly wasn’t arguing over that kind of thing.’

“What thing? We don’t have anything!”

The chubby Chen Shen, his face wreathed in smiles, waved his hands in a gesture of innocence.

“Really nothing?”

Lin Shujing remained unconvinced.

“Chen Shen, last time I confiscated two of your ‘adult’ books. I still haven’t told the teacher about that to settle accounts with you. Do you really think I’ll believe you so easily this time?”

I instantly covered my face. My guess was that Chen Shen had, more likely than not, stuffed that thing back into his backpack.

If Lin Shujing found it, today would truly be over.

“There’s nothing in here,” Chen Shen replied, feigning innocence.

Lin Shujing’s brows immediately furrowed. She clearly hadn’t expected Chen Shen to remain so calm.

An expression of ‘Could there really be nothing?’ flickered across her face.

‘Yes, yes, Class Monitor! There’s truly nothing in Chen Shen’s backpack. You should hurry back to your seat and prepare to study.’

“Then let me check inside.”

‘To my surprise, Lin Shujing was relentless.’

‘Class Monitor, you’re violating someone’s privacy! That’s a crime! As a champion of justice, you can’t do that!’
