First and foremost, I am profoundly grateful to all the readers who have followed along to this point; this novel’s completion would not have been possible without your unwavering support. Frankly, this is the very first novel I’ve managed to bring to a conclusion. Previously, my works primarily delved into genres such as cultivation, apocalypse, fantasy, and sci-fi. This venture into a slice-of-life narrative was a new experiment, and it undoubtedly had many shortcomings, as I believe you all have noticed.
Initially, this book was planned to reach 500,000 characters. However, as its performance steadily declined, I had to accelerate the pace. Consequently, the final few chapters felt rushed, leaving many of the earlier plot threads unresolved. This is certainly a regret, yet given my limited abilities, the sheer volume I managed to produce was already quite unexpected.
Regarding the plot, I’ve come to a rough conclusion: I didn’t quite nail the character designs, the narrative pacing was often perplexing, and it lacked truly captivating elements. The modest success it achieved was largely due to the popularity of the ‘yandere’ trope.
If there are any other areas for improvement, please feel free to point them out here. I will take all constructive criticism to heart, excluding those who are simply looking to nitpick.
As for my next book, I am still in the planning stages, though it will most likely be an apocalyptic theme. It will incorporate some sci-fi elements, and when it comes to character design, yandere characters will certainly be a prominent feature.
