The Sissy Lucifer and the Lost Ring

Chapter 431,243 words11 min read

“Beautiful lady, do you know me?”

Yue Wu watched Lucy stride towards him with an aggressive aura, convinced his dashing looks had captivated her. He even struck a self-satisfied pose.

Bang!

However, when Lucy reached him, it was her fist, not admiration, that greeted him.

“Hey, even if you know me, there’s no need to resort to violence without a word.”

Yue Wu rubbed his aching head. Though his vitality was robust, he could still feel the sting of the blow.

“Why didn’t you report to me?”

Lucy then delivered a forceful kick to Yue Wu’s foot.

“Huh? Are you out of your mind?”

Yue Wu wondered if there was something wrong with this woman, given her persistent attacks.

“I am Lucifer!”

Lucy raised her fist again, clearly itching to land another heavy punch.

“You’re that sissy!”

Only then did the slow-witted Yue Wu recognize the golden-haired girl before him as the effeminate Lucifer he had encountered previously.

“Where’s the item I gave you?”

Lucy extended her hand, demanding the ring she had given Yue Wu earlier.

“What item?”

Yue Wu drew a complete blank.

“The ring! The ring I gave you!”

Lucy struggled to suppress her growing fury.

“Uh, I think I lost it.”

Yue Wu had genuinely forgotten where he’d misplaced the ring.

“What!? You can just die!”

Unable to contain her rage, Lucy lifted her foot, aiming directly for Yue Wu’s nether regions.

“Stop! That’s attempted murder!”

Thankfully, Yue Wu managed to block her, narrowly saving himself from utter ruin.

“You—you! You actually lost that ring? You wasteful idiot, you deserve to die!”

Lucy snatched Hootga’s knight’s sword from his grasp.

“Wait, wait, wait! I’ll look, I’ll look.”

Yue Wu quickly intervened to prevent Lucy from going berserk, frantically searching through his Gate of Babylon.

“If you don’t find it, you’ll meekly accept your punishment!”

Lucy temporarily lowered the knight’s sword she held.

“Found it! Here it is.”

Yue Wu produced the ring Lucy had given him.

“Hmph!”

Lucy immediately snatched the ring from Yue Wu’s outstretched hand.

“Isn’t that the sacred artifact the Dean gave to Lucy?”

Hootga had personally witnessed Yue Wu returning the ring to Lucy. He had been fortunate enough to see it before, recognizing it instantly.

“Alright, the assessment for today ends here.”

“Yue Wu, come with me. I’ll take you on a tour of the academy.”

Lucy slipped the ring onto her finger, then turned to lead Yue Wu, concluding the assessment and allowing the other four to fortunately pass their mentor evaluation.

“Hey girls, why don’t you all come with me too?”

Even at this moment, Yue Wu couldn’t resist flirting.

“Do you believe I’ll chop off your manhood right now?”

Lucy whirled around, glaring fiercely at Yue Wu.

“Just kidding.”

Yue Wu offered an awkward laugh.

Ultimately, Lucy spent nearly an entire day guiding Yue Wu through the academy. Had she known he hadn’t absorbed a single word she’d said during their tour, she likely would have incapacitated him without a second thought.

Yue Wu: “You mean you want me to be in charge of a brand new class?”

Lucy: “Precisely. A new Priest class will be starting tomorrow. Do you think Sages or Priests have a chance of becoming true Priests?”

Yue Wu: “While I’m not entirely sure, I do know that a Priest’s mana is distinct from ordinary mana.”

Lucy: “Mana is different?”

Yue Wu: “Indeed. You can observe it closely.”

Modley Hadas: “You’re right. Your mana is completely different from ours.”

Yue Wu: “Yes, your mana is mixed with impurities.”

Lucy: “So, is it possible for those new students to become Priests?”

Yue Wu: “It is, as long as their mana hasn’t been tainted yet.”

Lucy: “What do you mean?”

Yue Wu: “Your method of extracting mana isn’t wise. In the process of absorbing mana, you also absorb some chaotic energies along with it.”

Modley Hadas: “Can we change that?”

Yue Wu: “Do you think a bucket of water, once mixed with paint, can ever return to being pure clear water?”

Lucy: “I understand. I only hope you can teach students who are as capable as you.”

Yue Wu: “If you’re referring to being as strong as me, I’m afraid that might disappoint you.”

Lucy: “What exactly do you mean by that?”

Yue Wu: “Nothing in particular. I’m simply saying they can’t be like me, because I am insurmountable.”

Lucy: “You arrogant fool, where do you get such confidence?”

Yue Wu: “My confidence comes from myself, and I possess the ability to back up my words.”

Lucy: “You really are asking for a beating, can’t you be serious for once?”

Yue Wu: “Heh, I can’t. Life is short, after all. Doing things that make me happy ensures I won’t have any regrets later.”

Yue Wu: “While I don’t believe one person’s strength can save the world, there is one saying that holds true.”

Sophia Intist: “What saying?”

In Vice Dean Lucy’s office, Yue Wu and the other three sat gathered around, as Yue Wu demonstrated the stark difference in their mana. His explanations weren’t mere conjecture; they were derived from information meticulously searched and compiled by his system.

“With great power comes great responsibility.”

As Yue Wu uttered these words, a sudden melancholic air enveloped him, as if he were lost in a profound thought.

Over the past ten-odd days, Yue Wu had fully embraced this new world. He had contemplated many things, even preparing himself for the crises that might lie ahead. Since fate had transported him here, complete with everything from his game, he resolved to seriously engage with the gifts destiny had bestowed upon him.

After all, he had lost everything once before. As the saying goes, it is only after experiencing loss that one truly learns to cherish what they have.

“With great power comes great responsibility, huh?”

Upon hearing Yue Wu’s words, Lucy and the other two also fell into deep contemplation. They pondered their own drive to become stronger: was it merely for show, or was it to protect those around them from danger?

“I will dedicate everything to protecting this world.”

“What did you say? You, protect the world?”

As if she’d heard Yue Wu’s arrogant declaration, Lucy immediately began to mock him.

“What do you think?”

“Your skin is thick enough; it’s practically world-saving armor.”

“What nonsense are you spouting? Someone as handsome as me is clearly destined to be the protagonist who saves the world.”

“You don’t look all that great. You should just go to bed.”

“Xiao Qing, let’s head home for dinner!”

“You stop right there!”

Lucy was utterly incensed. Yue Wu was truly insufferable, always defying expectations. Talking to him was incredibly draining.

“Is there anything else I should be reminded of? I’ll write it down in my little notebook when I get home.”

Every time Lucy saw Yue Wu’s infuriating expression, she would inexplicably erupt in anger, wishing she could rush over and kick him to death.

“First, you’d better not be late tomorrow, or I’ll come to your house with a knife and chop you up!”

“Also, no flirting with women, or I’ll chop off your manhood.”

Lucy managed to restrain herself, but still offered Yue Wu these ‘kind’ warnings.

“Can you please stop threatening to chop things off? You sound like a loan shark from the underworld.”

Yue Wu looked at Lucy with a disdainful expression, then left her office and returned home.
