A Playful Flight to the Divine Realm

Chapter 441,882 words16 min read

Liu Han’s fingers gently sank into the soft feathers.

While these feathers could become incredibly rigid once fully infused with divine power, I had only just extended them and was in the midst of the infusion process.

I wanted to retract my wings, but Liu Han held them tightly.

“Little Mengmeng, it seems you’re quite afraid of me pinching your wings, aren’t you… Could it be…?” She smiled wickedly, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

“No, it’s nothing at all. I, I’m just not used to it.”

I tried to retract my wings again, but when they were firmly held, that peculiar tingling sensation would surge through my entire body.

Her fingers, initially meant to tease, became completely engrossed in the feathers’ perfect texture.

The feathers were remarkably smooth and soft, yet possessed an incredible resilience.

Deeper within, the downy plumes were exquisitely delicate, far softer than the finest goose down.

I bit my lip, determined not to utter a single sound.

Liu Han, after all, was a truly mischievous and troublesome individual.

Seeing my small face flush crimson and my body tremble as I bit my lip, Liu Han chuckled mischievously.

Her fingers then delved even deeper, exploring the sensitive feathers.

I cast a pleading glance at Mifeier, only to find her with her wings retracted, her face flushed, and her heart pounding. Her small wings occasionally twitched in response to the sight.

Next, I looked at Xilinka. She had her eyes closed, completely oblivious to the commotion, simply and quietly infusing divine power into her wings.

Finally, my gaze fell upon Lavishly Karafar. Relying on her, however, was clearly a fool’s errand; she was currently watching with keen interest, as if afraid to miss even the slightest detail. It seemed she was just short of pulling out a notebook to take notes.

I withdrew my gaze and spoke weakly, my voice trembling uncontrollably.

“Liu Han, um, let’s go. There’s nothing for us to do here.”

The sensation was excruciating; merely opening my mouth felt as if a cry was on the verge of escaping.

“It’s fine. Aren’t we in no hurry? I feel a bit tired and want to rest for a while. Is that a problem…?”

Liu Han mischievously pinched my wing. ‘So the rumors about angels’ and gods’ wings being super sensitive are actually true,’ she mused.

My body trembled even more violently as Liu Han’s hand began to explore the very center of my wing.

“I think, actually, you don’t need to touch my wing, my wing, this, ah!”

With a harsh rub at the wing joint, she made me shriek aloud. The divine power within my feathers, which had just barely filled halfway, instantly rushed out completely.

Thoroughly satisfied, Liu Han finally released my wings.

She watched me with a mischievous grin, my face flushed crimson, yet I struggled to maintain composure and calm my racing heart.

‘It was truly strange,’ I mused. ‘In the past, no matter what happened, I never used to blush like this.’

‘But lately, I’ve been blushing far too often. Are all girls like this? Yet, I am a boy!’

After calming myself, I flapped my wings a few times, barely managing to shake off that peculiar tingling sensation.

Although my calves still felt a bit weak, there were no major issues to worry about.

Divine power now filled my entire wingspan, causing faint pink light to emanate in gentle rings.

They appeared incredibly adorable, yet simultaneously utterly inviolable.

Liu Han, curious, poked them again.

This time, the entire wingspan was as hard as iron; she pressed down with force, but there was no reaction whatsoever.

Now, I no longer feared Liu Han touching my wings haphazardly.

After all, the Divine Realm had evolved over countless years; how could winged deities leave such a significant vulnerability unaddressed?

If left unchecked, a winged deity fighting a wingless one would surely face defeat if their wings were seized.

And if two winged deities were to clash, wouldn’t it merely devolve into a game of grabbing wings?

I allowed Liu Han to poke and prod at my wings, smiling triumphantly.

‘You can’t do anything now, can you?’

Liu Han soon gave up.

Indeed, deities had thoroughly researched their own vulnerabilities.

These wings had likely become one of the most lethal weapons on a deity’s body.

“Let’s go.”

Lavishly Karafar spoke, her body first floating into the air.

Wingless deities possessed superior control over flight compared to their winged counterparts, though winged deities naturally held an advantage in instantaneous acceleration.

Liu Han spread her arms, looking at me expectantly.

I was utterly bewildered.

‘What does she mean by spreading her arms and looking at me like that?’

“Aren’t you going to carry me as we fly? Are you suggesting you’d tie a rope around me and pull me up instead?”

Liu Han’s expression was one of complete certainty, as if stating the most obvious fact.

‘Now that she mentioned it, it did seem to make sense.’

‘However, I had never carried a girl before, had I…?’

‘Hmm, how should I carry her? On my shoulder?’

Liu Han looked at me with an exasperated expression. ‘Does this guy not even know how to carry someone?’ she seemed to think.

‘Then again, it makes sense. As a young girl and a deity, she naturally wouldn’t have carried anyone before.’

Liu Han took my hand, then guided one of my arms to her back and the other to her upper thigh.

‘As for why not at her knee joint, it was probably because my arms were a bit short,’ I mused.

“Alright, now pick me up with some force,” Liu Han instructed, her guidance complete.

Feeling a bit embarrassed, I gently lifted Liu Han directly into my arms.

To be honest, the sight was rather odd: a petite loli, barely 150cm tall, carrying an older sister who stood over 170cm.

It looked utterly incongruous, no matter how one viewed it.

A block of ice appeared beneath my feet.

With a powerful flap of my wings, I soared directly into the sky.

It must be said that flying on Earth was far easier than flying in the Divine Realm.

It required almost no divine power, and my speed was significantly greater.

In mere moments, I had covered a considerable distance.

Mifeier’s ice block followed me consistently.

Thus, I had no mental burden and began to fly with complete peace of mind.

Suddenly, a delicate fragrance wafted to my nose, and a pair of hands gently encircled my neck.

At this, I panicked slightly, my body swaying in the air before I managed to stabilize myself.

If this had happened in the Divine Realm, I would have plummeted instantly.

Liu Han gently narrowed her eyes, then adapted to the sensation before opening them fully.

After all, few people had the chance to directly soar among the clouds like this.

My wings beat, directly dispersing the clouds as I ascended to breathtaking altitudes.

The sensation at such heights was even more miraculous.

Below lay thick layers of clouds, while above, another layer of atmosphere formed a beautiful, cloud-encircled tunnel.

It appeared utterly dreamlike and magnificent.

I gently shielded Liu Han with divine magic.

Without it, the thin atmosphere at such high altitudes would quickly lead to her suffocation.

This way, Liu Han could fully enjoy the breathtaking expanse of the sky.

After flying for a while longer, we suddenly changed course, soaring directly towards the heavens.

By human understanding, we would have already reached outer space, but this place was distinctly different. Multicolored clouds blanketed the sky, and unknown creatures occasionally flew past.

At this point, my own flight had become considerably more strenuous. However, with my exceptionally high divine power, it wasn’t a significant problem.

Yet, I noticed Mifeier seemed to be struggling. The divine power consumed traversing two worlds was truly astonishing, especially since she also had to maintain the flight of an ice block.

I gritted my teeth and said to Mifeier, “Mifeier, it’s not needed anymore. Dispel this ice block.”

Mifeier looked over, surprised, her face etched with confusion.

I nodded, indicating that it was perfectly fine.

As a High God, what kind of deity would be perpetually afraid of heights? Soaring through the sky was a lifelong dream for many, and even I had once aspired to be a pilot in my childhood.

Now, I was letting acrophobia squander such a magnificent opportunity.

The ice block vanished.

My entire body tensed, and the arm holding Liu Han tightened considerably, causing her a small gasp of pain.

Lavishly Karafar, observing from the side, looked over with a touch of concern.

However, seeing that I wasn’t in any major trouble, she simply approached me slowly.

Her fear was that if Liu Han accidentally fell, it would lead to significant trouble.

Liu Han soothingly stroked my neck, allowing my tense emotions to calm slightly.

I tried to straighten my somewhat tilted body.

No matter what, I couldn’t allow Liu Han to be in any danger.

After adapting for a while, I suddenly realized the high altitude wasn’t so terrifying after all.

It was like an eagle; before being pushed off a cliff, it might fear great heights.

But once it truly experienced the sensation of soaring, it would become utterly addictive.

I powerfully flapped my wings again, propelling myself forward at an even faster speed.

Lavishly Karafar and the other two women accelerated, swiftly following suit.

The entrance to the Divine Realm was now visible in the distance.

It was a colossal golden gate, hundreds of meters high, adorned with countless intricate bas-reliefs.

Above the gate, two golden wings spread wide, appearing utterly sacred and majestic.

This was distinctly different from the dedicated passage used by the train.

Many lower worlds accessed the Divine Realm through this grand gate, so it was common to see various deities flying past.

Because I was carrying Liu Han, I dared not fly too quickly, fearing I might make her uncomfortable.

Therefore, I maintained a relatively slow speed throughout our journey.

At this moment, two beautiful goddesses, holding hands, slowed down beside us.

They looked at us curiously, then smiled and exchanged knowing glances, as if expressing understanding, before accelerating and flying away.

This scene left me utterly bewildered, while Liu Han merely chuckled without speaking.

I looked at Liu Han and asked, “What was that all about?”

Liu Han laughed even more heartily. “Want to know?” The teasing in her tone was unmistakable.

I nodded. “Yes, I do.”

Liu Han leaned close to my ear and whispered, “They said we’re lovers, you know.” With that, she gently nipped my earlobe with her lips.

Her words and the sudden attack nearly made me plummet, but I struggled to steady myself.

Liu Han, however, merely kept chuckling, watching my flustered attempts without a hint of worry, as if completely unconcerned about falling.

“How about it? Now that you’ve heard them, are you interested in playing with your Big Sister?” she continued to tease, seemingly delighted by my flustered and frantic expression.

And I, as she wished, blushed crimson, unable to speak, merely lowering my head.

Seeing this, she laughed even more merrily.
