Within the pink divine realm, a dragon and a goddess watched the pink gemstone placed in its center, staring intently.
Light flickered at the heart of the gemstone, and at its core, two stars seemed to be responding to each other. Freya fully activated her divine power and authority, weaving the power of the Goddess of Love into a fine thread, completely connecting the two related stars.
“How’s the situation?”
Radon, being an external deity, couldn’t clearly see the current state and could only ask anxiously.
“It feels like it’s about to succeed. Their inner responses are getting closer and closer, just a little bit more and they’ll be…”
Freya spoke with an air of certainty, her pink eyes filled with triumph. As the Goddess of Love, what she loved to see most was a couple she had personally brought together falling deeply in love.
She had been a little nervous about this special case before, but now it seemed these two Descenders weren’t so formidable after all. With just a slight stirring of desire, their rapidly beating hearts nearly drove their bodies to press directly against each other.
“Is it going smoothly? Will the great task of procreation be completed today?”
Radon’s old face was full of anticipation, and his rough hands even began making a frantic rubbing motion like a fly.
“Hey, hey! Don’t treat my place as a breeding ground, alright?! Love is noble! Don’t try to fathom love with your mind full of reproductive thoughts!”
In Freya’s professional integrity, she never directly manipulated two individuals to form a connection through sexual acts. Such methods were crude and blasphemous to the definition of love in her eyes.
Although the subtle force the Goddess of Love used did touch upon this area, she always managed to control the dosage. Under the interference of the Goddess of Love’s power, the two would always be drawn to each other irresistibly and spark the flames of love.
To put it simply, she would only initiate, creating an opportunity for two people to come together. As for whether they could seize that opportunity and end up together, that depended on the individual’s final choice.
This was Freya’s perfect aesthetic of love.
As long as love was born, the rest would follow naturally.
The Goddess of Love would not interfere too much with their private lives.
“I can already see, in the deep darkness, amidst the anxious atmosphere, red roses and yellow Cymbidium orchids igniting the brilliant sparks of love!”
Freya’s eyes gleamed with excitement, and the pink divine power she wielded was injected with even more effort into the gemstone. The gemstone’s light grew increasingly dazzling, until…
With a “patta!” sound, it shattered into a pile of fragments.
Immediately, the atmosphere in the pink divine realm became eerily quiet. A dragon and a goddess lowered their heads, staring blankly at the scattered fragments without a word.
Until those broken fragments, as if pulled by some force, floated in mid-air, and then a clear, cold divine voice emerged from them:
“You two should stop meddling and playing matchmaker randomly. She is mine; her destiny is not for you to interfere with.”
“Radon, if you intend a marriage alliance, come directly to my divine realm to discuss it face-to-face. If you continue with these petty tricks in the dark, don’t blame me for descending to your doorstep and paying you a personal visit!”
Radon trembled all over, startled by the familiar voice. Then, he awkwardly coughed twice, subconsciously retreating behind Freya.
“Uh… you have a good relationship with Themis, why don’t you go up and help explain a few words?”
Seeing Radon’s cowardly appearance, Freya rolled her eyes at him helplessly, then stepped forward.
“Themis, I’m sorry, we really didn’t know that Conde was yours.”
Freya said softly to the floating crystal.
Now everything was clear. Why couldn’t they find Conde’s registration with his appearance and name? Wasn’t it obvious that the God of Elements had already transferred this Descender’s registry ahead of time?
Moreover, Themis, as the Elemental Elf and Ancestor God of the Elves, also held a portion of the authority over life. A deity with life authority could naturally allow a Descender to be smoothly reincarnated.
“Is that Freya? Radon should be hiding beside you, right?”
Hearing the helpless, scolding tone, it was clear that Themis knew this Dragon God’s temperament very well.
Freya turned to look at the Dragon God hiding behind her. Radon’s old face flushed, he coughed twice, and in the end, stubbornly remained silent.
“Yes, but he seems unwilling to speak right now.”
“Sigh, this guy just wakes up and causes trouble. Don’t learn his bad habits. Conde is currently with me, and I have plans for her destiny; I cannot let you interfere for now.”
Themis let out a long sigh, then leaned on her elbow.
“However, you can temporarily leave your mark on her. If she and that dragon girl genuinely develop something naturally, I won’t object to you sharing in the abundant harvest.”
Themis’s voice made Freya’s eyes light up, and a look of pleasant surprise appeared in her pink eyes. Just as she was about to express her thanks, the fragments of the broken gemstone, imbued with power, seemed to lose their supporting force, their light dissipated, and they fell to the ground.
Themis’s aura vanished. Radon and Freya looked at each other, and finally, a light cough broke the awkward silence.
“Cough, I guess everything is fine now, right?”
Radon scratched his head, sidling closer.
“Everything is fine, but seeing your cowardly self, if the current, powerful Dragon King saw you, I wonder if he would still acknowledge you as the Dragon God?”
Freya teased.
“I’m going back to sleep. I don’t care what those dragon descendants think of me!”
“Besides, you haven’t experienced Themis’s beating. When that woman starts a fight, there’s no similarity or correlation with her appearance at all. Back then, I lost all my dragon scales; she shattered them one punch at a time.”
Radon’s skin was as thick as a city wall; he didn’t care about his own reputation at all, even revealing old wounds. But recalling past memories, this ancient Dragon God, who had lived for countless years, couldn’t help but tremble all over.
“Alright, I owe you one this time. Although Themis won’t let me interfere further, she did allow me to leave a mark. As long as the mark is there, if these two truly spark something, the faith power that should be mine won’t be diminished.”
This act was equivalent to excluding all external interference, allowing the feelings between the two to develop naturally. If their relationship succeeded, the Goddess of Love would be like winning the lottery jackpot. If it didn’t, gaining so much information about a Descender would still be a profit.
“You say, can your Saintess truly capture that boy?”
After all, it concerned the faith power of two Descenders. To say she didn’t care about the ‘hands-off’ approach would be a lie. After Themis’s voice disappeared, Freya still couldn’t help but lean closer and ask the Dragon God.
“Oh, don’t worry! This generation’s Saintess of ours is absolutely breathtaking, enough to make fish sink and geese fall, eclipse the moon and put flowers to shame, captivating all. Capturing a human boy? That’s easy as pie!”
“Trust me, it’s a guaranteed win!”
Radon slapped his thigh, promising with a confident look.
“Really?”
Freya still had some doubts. After all, Descenders were a special case and couldn’t be viewed with ordinary eyes.
“Believe me, whether this Conde has reincarnated or not, as long as he still has it downstairs, he won’t be able to refuse Aurelia’s pursuit.”
Radon patted his chest, full of conviction.
