“Vice Principal, eavesdropping on girls’ conversations isn’t exactly commendable behavior.”

Seeing the Vice Principal, who made herself entirely at home, sitting on her desk and stretching her seductive body, Selina’s mouth twitched several times. Her expression also became somewhat displeased.

“Oh, don’t mind such details~”

“But I do mind.”

Against such attempts to brush things off with a laugh, Selina never gave the other party any quarter.

Seeing the girl’s stern face, Hecate’s beautiful face reluctantly showed a startled expression.

“Ah, really. I came with utmost sincerity, and now you want me to return empty-handed?”

Her slender fingers half-covered her alluring face, and the Witch’s tone carried the scent of a mischievous woman who toyed with people’s hearts.

“So what is this ‘sincerity’ you speak of? Is it showing up in my dorm as a prank and saying things that are easily misunderstood?”

The girl’s voice still carried a hint of distant coldness.

Selina’s impression of this Witch was not particularly good. After all, the first time she met her in this identity, this wicked woman had disguised herself as someone else’s man to tease her.

Maliciously teasing a princess while disguised as a man was not something that could be simply brushed off as a joke. If it weren’t for their past acquaintance, Selina would have made her pay a material price.

“Alright, alright, I won’t tease you anymore. I truly came here to tell you something important.”

Hecate’s form, sitting on the edge of the table, suddenly twisted into a cloud of dark purple smoke. The smoke then flew in front of the girl and condensed back into shape.

Two pairs of eyes met. Selina’s face was slightly cold, Hecate’s eyes held a smile.

“As a princess of the Elf Kingdom, you should know which deity we Witches believe in, right?”

“The Goddess of Destiny, Themis.”

Although Witches often caused misunderstandings with their actions, these mischief-makers rarely lied. For a Witch to deem something an important matter, even Selina had to focus her attention on what she was about to say.

“Indeed, truly worthy of an erudite Elf Princess. My venerated main deity. As one of her believers, Witches also control the power of divination, much like the Star Sea Tribe under the Goddess of Star Sea…”

“So, you divined that Aurelia would say goodbye to me today, and then you came here to play a prank?”

Selina asked with a frown.

“No, no, no, it’s not that simple, of course. Pranks are fun, but I personally prefer a nice afternoon nap. As for the real reason, it’s because…”

Hecate chuckled, pointing a finger at the girl.

“Me? What about me?”

“Nothing will happen to you yourself, but someone close to you is about to face a great disaster, and this disaster can only be resolved by you helping her. Otherwise, I’m afraid this world will lose another peerless beauty.”

Hecate playfully twirled the strands of hair falling beside her cheek, her slender fingers weaving and twisting through the silken soft hair.

“Why are you telling me these things?”

“Because I owed a favor, and I happened to get this information, so I just thought I’d let you know~”

“But I don’t remember you owing me any favor.”

“Of course, this favor isn’t yours. It belongs to the one in your heart…”

Hecate’s gaze pointedly fell upon the two small crystal sword pendants hanging on the girl’s chest.

“Hestia…”

Selina murmured, a little surprised.

“Then you…”

“Ah~”

Hecate timely placed her index finger against the girl’s mouth, which was about to open for further questions. Her eyes glowed with pleasure.

“A Witch must always remain mysterious, so I cannot tell you too much about the future. Each individual’s destiny shall be revealed by the individual. All I can say is this. Besides, prying too much isn’t what a lady does, you know~”

Hecate’s silhouette once again transformed into a cloud of purple mist, quickly drifting to the dormitory window ledge. The purple smoke condensed into a raven. The raven twisted its head, finally looking at the girl.

“Relevant matters have been told to you. The choice is in your hands. Furthermore, I am only a relayer. The leave application has already been placed on your desk. If you’ve thought it through, then decide whether to sign it…”

The raven spoke in human tongue. After speaking, it spread its wings and fluttered away from the area.

The girl walked to her desk, her slender fingers resting on the application paper. In her mind, Hecate’s first words upon meeting kept replaying.

‘Why don’t you just go back with her and see? Anyway, if you let her go back alone, you’ll feel uneasy inside, won’t you?’

The seemingly magical voice echoed, accompanied by the girl’s inexplicable sense of emptiness and unease deep within her heart. Finally, after several minutes of thought and struggle, Selina grabbed the quill from her desk, her mind made up.

“Seriously, a protection mission I took eight years ago, and I still have to handle the after-sales eight years later. This girl, you truly are a handful…”

Night. Stars filled the night sky.

The Student Council’s landmark building, Hermes Hall, was still brightly lit.

As a student organization with real power in the Academy, a large amount of work was processed in Hermes Hall every day, and today was another busy one.

After a brief rest, Philicia finished the last drop of tea in her cup. She contentedly covered the teacup, then called out towards the door.

“Virantha, please inform everyone outside to gather in the meeting hall in five minutes for a meeting.”

Virantha, who had been guarding the door, gracefully walked into the office upon hearing the voice.

“Your Highness, I already postponed today’s meeting for you with all departments. Everyone has gone home. There’s no meeting to be held today.”

Virantha, wearing a maid outfit under her Student Council uniform, replied softly.

“Why? Didn’t I arrange it yesterday? Furthermore, why postpone without reason? There’s a lot of work to be handled these days; if it’s not finished today, it will only be more troublesome tomorrow.”

Philicia was a very principled person, adhering to the principle of ‘never put off until tomorrow what can be done today,’ never delaying today’s matters to the next day.

“Because tonight, there is a special guest whom Your Highness must meet.”

Virantha’s eyes held a smile, but her words, unusually, did not make things clear.

“What guest? Why all the mystery?”

Philicia merely felt curious. No special personnel had arrived at the Academy recently. Besides, what kind of good person wouldn’t visit during the day, but instead came running here late at night?

However, the more confusion in Philicia’s eyes, the broader the smile on Virantha’s face.

She gracefully approached the door, knocked three times lightly, then respectfully bowed low, extending her hands in a welcoming gesture.

From the darkness outside the door, a small figure gradually appeared, until fully revealed.

When Philicia clearly saw the face of the newcomer, her previously calm emerald eyes were instantly filled with joy and excitement.

Under the bright magical lamplight, Selina, wearing a simple and elegant princess gown, walked in with graceful cat-like steps. Then, with practiced hands, she lifted her skirt, retreated her left leg, and slightly bent her knees.

“Big Sister, greetings~”
