Chapter 29 : Fenrir VI

“Charlotte…!”

As soon as Aurel and Hwanggu came down, they ran towards me.

Their cautious movements showed they were checking my injuries.

Although we hadn’t been together for long, I was touched by how much they cared for me.

“I’m fine.”

I waved my hand, dismissing it as nothing serious.

It really wasn’t that serious.

My health was quickly recovering, and the visible wounds were healing through regeneration.

The same went for my torn clothes.

I used the shadows to restore them to their original form.

The problem was the collapse inside the sewer.

The bombs set by the humans had caused the road to collapse and block the way.

Of course, that wasn’t the only issue.

The explosion might have alerted humans far away.

They might be rushing here now.

They had set traps to prevent others from using this path.

Knowing about the store, they wouldn’t leave us alone.

I threw away the wooden plank I was holding.

Although Hwanggu had worked hard to find it, the explosion had left it charred and useless.

“We need to clear the path. As quickly as possible.”

“Clear the path? That?”

Aurel asked, looking at me.

I nodded at her cute face.

And so began the path-clearing operation.

Aurel used her small hands to move the debris from the collapsed road. Hwanggu, too, used partial transformation to change her hands into wolf paws and started digging through the rubble.

I watched them from behind and summoned my familiars.

Sss-

With a wave of my hand, the shadows unfolded.

Four girls, excluding Yepi, walked out of the shadows.

“Needless to say, you know what to do, right?”

They were connected to me. They’d understand my intention without words.

Vermouth nodded and began to move with his friends.

The debris was cleared quickly once these superhuman beings started to work.

Of course, I joined in the effort.

How much time had passed?

We finally reached a space untouched by the explosion.

There was no need to clear everything.

We just needed a passage for people with small builds like us.

I called my familiars back into the shadow.

They melted into the shadow without any resistance.

It looked almost grotesque, as if their very existence was melting away.

“Yepi.”

“Yes…”

I called Yepi to lead the way.

He had guided us here, so he knew the exact location of the store.

Before searching for the store,

I pulled out a large steel beam from the debris.

We needed something to use as a bridge over the water running through the middle of the sewer.

“Ugh…”

Yepi, who was leading us, suddenly stopped.

His face turned pale, and his eyes shook.

He was clearly scared.

It was obvious what frightened Yepi.

There was only one thing vampires hated here.

Water.

The city above might have been abandoned, but the sewer still held water.

“Vampires are quite inconvenient… How do you shower?”

“We don’t.”

“Don’t?”

“We don’t sweat.”

I answered Yepi and placed the steel beam over the water.

Yepi crossed it with relief.

Aurel, Hwanggu, and I followed.

Vampires don’t secrete substances like humans.

So, they don’t smell even if they don’t shower.

In fact, they emit a very fragrant scent to lure prey.

They could use wet wipes to clean themselves, but they wouldn’t immerse themselves in running water.

“This is crazy…”

Yepi shook his head with a pale face.

He seemed somewhat accustomed to being a vampire, but he hadn’t forgotten his human memories.

As we quickly walked through the sewer,

the atmosphere suddenly changed.

A faint light flickered in the previously dark place, and the foul air became slightly fresher.

Looking ahead, I saw a large door at the end of the sewer.

I knew what it meant from previous experience.

It was a store run by an NPC.

“There it is.”

Was there any need to hesitate?

I ran towards the store with the kids.

Tap-tap-tap~!

We arrived at the store, leaving the sound of small footsteps behind.

I reached out and opened the store door.

Bang!

As the door opened, I met a pair of blue eyes.

“What…?”

The voice that came out wasn’t from our kids.

Nor was it mine.

The voice belonged to a human woman with long blonde hair.

She looked at me as if something that shouldn’t be there was present.

At that moment, both the human woman and I instinctively took fighting stances.

The shadow beneath me rippled, and a black katana extended towards my right hand.

“Grrr!”

Hwanggu reacted late, showing hostility.

Aurel was also preparing to fight in her own way.

But this was a store.

All acts of aggression were nullified here.

It didn’t take long for everyone to realize that.

“Take the fight outside.”

As soon as we were ready to fight, the store NPC intervened to stop us.

“Crazy…”

Why was this human here?

At this distance, she must have heard the explosion outside.

But that wasn’t the important thing.

I activated the Mystic Eye to check her information.

Whoosh-

One side of the world turned blue.

Detailed information about the human woman appeared.

[Dal BunnyVv]

Level: 17

Species: Human

Health: 100%

Mana: 100%

Emotional state: Confusion, shock, fear, excitement

As I checked Dal Bunny’s information,

she started to move.

She took a big step forward.

Her upper body leaned slightly.

She was clearly about to run.

Dal Bunny’s gaze was fixed on the door we had entered through.

Realizing this, I shouted and moved.

“Block the door!”

Tap-tap-tap!

The kids moved in unison at my command.

Dal Bunny also started running towards the door with a desperate expression.

“Ahhh!”

“Hiyaaa!”

We couldn’t let her escape.

We couldn’t let that human woman leave the store.

I summoned my familiars from the shadow and shouted.

“Catch that human!”

“Hiyaa!”

“Ha-yah!”

Eight of us clung to Dal Bunny.

We couldn’t attack, but we could hold her down.

“Ugh…!”

Dal Bunny couldn’t attack either.

She reached out to push us away but seemed to hit an invisible barrier and withdrew her hand.

And then, with us clinging to her, she moved towards the door.

But she couldn’t overcome the strength of seven vampires and one werewolf.

“Ugh…”

Thud.

Dal Bunny fell over.

I didn’t miss the opportunity and climbed on top of her.

My familiars and the kids quickly moved to hold down her arms and legs.

“What do we do now?”

“Hmm…”

I stayed silent at Aurel’s question.

I didn’t have a specific goal in mind when I caught her.

I just instinctively acted because Dal Bunny tried to escape.

“P-please spare me…”

Dal Bunny, realizing that struggling was futile, began to beg for her life.

I started searching her body.

Coming to this store meant she was here to buy or sell items.

There must be credits or items somewhere.

Deciding whether to spare her would come after that.

“Gasp…!”

Dal Bunny flinched every time my hand touched her skin.

“Ah!”

When I lifted her shirt,

I found a black Under Armour.

It was the short-sleeved armor I had seen in the game.

At that moment, the Mystic Eye activated and provided item information.

[Black Under Armour]

Level Requirement: 5

Defense +5

A basic armor commonly available in stores.

It automatically adjusts to the wearer’s body size.

“This! This is it!”

I was excited to find the armor I had been looking for.

I started to strip Dal Bunny’s clothes.

She tried to resist, but with her arms and legs held down, she couldn’t escape my grasp.

“Take it off!”

“Hiyaa!”

I tore off her leather jacket and then her shirt.

All that was left was the black Under Armour clinging to her skin.

I slipped my fingers under it.

“Gasp…!”

Dal Bunny flinched at that moment.

Had she realized that resisting was futile?

Dal Bunny looked up at me with tear-filled eyes but didn’t move.

“OF!”

With a short shout, I pulled the Under Armour off her.

Her white skin was exposed, but my gaze remained fixed on the Under Armour.

Once I had the equipment, there was only one thing to do.

Wear it.

I turned my clothes into shadows.

My soft, white body began to show.

“Gasp…”

“Gasp…!”

“Gasp…!”

Aurel, Hwanggu, and even the other kids gasped at the sight of my body.

I understood their reaction.

It would be surprising if one of the group suddenly undressed.

But it was necessary to wear this equipment item.

It was an underwear-type item, so it had to be worn this way.

I put on the still-warm Under Armour.

It seemed a bit large for me, but as soon as I wore it, it adjusted to fit my body perfectly.

I was satisfied with the thin design that revealed my body’s curves.

I pressed my soft belly and nodded.

The fit was quite good.
