After tidying up Lee Yeram, I sent her off to school.
I planned to keep doing this until her college entrance exam.
It’s easy to lose focus if you’re worried about other things.
But there was something on my mind.
“…I wonder if I can squeeze in another round.”
After taking care of Yeram and doing various tasks, there was only an hour left until my work started.
It would take about 10 minutes to get to the café, so that meant I had around 50 minutes left.
Based on my experience with the game “League of Legends” last night, 50 minutes was more than enough to play a round.
And if time got tight, I could just drop out.
“Ahem.”
With that thought, I turned on Legends again and started another match.
A week passed after that.
Nothing much happened in the meantime.
Occasionally, I played League of Legends with Yeram’s friends and worked part-time in between.
So today, as usual, I was playing a game and also browsing through the gallery.

I was curious to see what topic people were discussing today.

I occasionally watch internet streams, so I had a fair understanding of it.
Who is friends with whom, and which streamer is affiliated with which company — though I didn’t know the details.

A flood of posts kept popping up.
Since many people here frequently visit the community, it seems they take a strong interest in internet streaming.
I was familiar with these kinds of discussions since they had come up before.
Thinking that, I clicked on the post at the very bottom.
It was easier to read from the bottom up.

Although I said I knew about internet streaming, I wasn’t familiar with the rising stars these days.
The streamers I watched on YouTube were all veterans who had been around for a long time.
‘It’s because I only watch variety game streamers.’
Lately, I’ve been thinking about expanding my scope with League of Legends.
It would probably be more fun that way.

I made a mental note of the name and moved on to the next post.
I skipped over the one criticizing the Gold Cup and checked the next one.

Calling someone the biggest idiot among streamers.
If you’ve spent any time in online communities, you’d know that there are really three standout types of idiots here.
First, the people who are overly obsessed with streamers and tear each other down.
Second, those who are fanatical about sports like baseball, League of Legends, or even soccer, fighting as if it’s life or death.
Third, the ones who connect everything to politics and demand, “Which side are you on?”
All three types are pretty obnoxious.
Of course, the second type is the least bad.
At least, being overly competitive can happen when you’re immersed in a game.
But the first and third types are equally hard to rank — they’re both awful.
‘They used to invade the Efreet gallery from time to time.’
Even now, just thinking about it was unpleasant.
Why come to other people’s galleries where everything is peaceful just to stir up trouble?
With that in mind, I checked the comments on the post.

Streamer names were flying around in the comments.
It seemed like everyone had a streamer they disliked.
What was fascinating, though, was this:
‘In the post right above, people were praising Mangming.’
In the post below, they were criticizing Mangming.
I didn’t know what kind of streams they did, but their viewers seemed pretty intense.
There’s no way such polarizing reactions would come up otherwise.
‘Maybe I should check it out.’
I had nothing else to do anyway since I’d already finished my part-time job for the day.
Lee Yea-ram was probably in her evening study session.
It wouldn’t be a bad idea to look into it since I had time.
First, I needed to ask the gallery a question.
I didn’t know anything about this “Mangming” person.

What kind of person could they be?
I hoped they weren’t too strange.
Although my time spent in the Efreet gallery had built up some immunity to bizarre things—like seeing weird pictures of animals and adult women doing strange things—strange was still strange.
With those thoughts in mind, I logged into Twiss.
“Hmm.”
I’d watched internet streams before, but that was a while ago.
It was back when Twiss didn’t even exist.
The platform felt a bit unfamiliar to me.
“It’s pretty neat.”
The UI was clean and organized. I typed “Mangming” into the search bar.
After a moment, a stream popped up at the top.

I didn’t know much about viewer numbers, but this seemed like a lot.
I remembered from the main screen that streams with 3,000 viewers were ranked pretty high.
‘I wonder what kind of stream this is.’
If it was a variety gaming stream, I’d probably enjoy it.

I clicked on the stream, and an ad played.
After waiting for 15 seconds and hitting skip, the stream filled my monitor.
- “Ah, damn it…”
It was a League of Legends stream.
The streamer was swearing occasionally.
Her face was in a small box in the bottom-right corner.
She looked like she had just gotten up, her hair all messy.
Still, I didn’t think she looked unattractive.
Maybe it was because her face was so small.
With those thoughts, I continued watching the stream.
- “Why does our jungle always play like crap? It’s really frustrating.”

At that moment.

The screen turned gray, and I could see the camera in the bottom right corner shaking back and forth.
“…Is this the style these days?”
I was a bit shocked.
