Heavenly Glow Kiori and I stood mere meters apart. Never before had we held such a prolonged gaze, yet, regrettably, we now faced each other as adversaries.
Heavenly Glow Kiori spoke, her voice surprisingly gentle. “A girl?”
Before I could reply, a wizened old mage beside her glared at me with pure animosity. “Don’t be fooled by her appearance! This girl is undoubtedly a demon, Claire. Watch me burn her to ashes!”
“Wait!” Heavenly Glow Kiori interjected, stopping the old mage. She stepped forward, her gaze sweeping over me without hostility before settling on my face.
For some inexplicable reason, her eyes seemed to hold a hint of pity. “Little sister, who are you? Why are you alone in a place like this?”
As expected, Heavenly Glow Kiori was exactly as the rumors described: powerful yet overflowing with maternal affection. This made her far too easy to deceive!
Yet, for some reason, the sharp retorts I had prepared remained unspoken. I found myself unable to look into her eyes and lie.
“Hmph!” I scoffed, crossing my arms in a show of disdain. “Spare me your false sympathy! You hypocritical woman, would you be so friendly if I were a skeleton draped in a cloak?”
My tone startled Heavenly Glow Kiori. She instinctively retreated half a step, drawing her sword halfway out of its sheath in a textbook-perfect stance.
Her eyes turned sharp and cold. “Who exactly are you? Or rather, what are you?”
“Me? Hmph! I am the daughter of the Demon King, whose name alone makes children stop crying in the night—the Dark Princess, Coolie!” I declared, turning slightly away from her with an air of haughty indifference.
At my words, the surrounding humans recoiled a step, visibly intimidated.
“You claim to be the Dark Princess?” Heavenly Glow Kiori’s tone grew serious. “Then why do I not sense any aura of your power?”
‘Huh?’ I paused, taken aback. ‘An aura of power? Is that something that can be sensed?’ A wave of alarm washed over me.
After all, I had only been the Dark Princess for a single day. How could I possibly know such profound combat common sense?
“Th-that’s because… this cloak of mine can conceal my aura!” I stammered, my face flushing in protest.
“Oh?” Heavenly Glow Kiori’s gaze once again swept over me, becoming ethereal and tinged with a hint of disdain. “Is that so? So you are the Dark Princess, skilled at concealing your presence. Then, what brings you, in your esteemed person, to this place?”
Hmph, Heavenly Glow Kiori! Your tone utterly displeases me! To dare look down on me!
Hmph! I am no longer the little shut-in boy you once passed on campus, whose face would be brushed by your flowing hair, letting him catch a whiff of your scent, all without your knowledge! You, you are about to fall right into my trap!
“To teach you greedy invaders a lesson, of course!” My eyes turned icy. Within this dungeon, I could teleport freely, completely unafraid to play a game with this arrogant woman!
From beneath my cloak, I extended a fair, tender arm, pointing towards the troops beside Kiori.
“Kleizern Vampire’s Touch!”
Several black thorns, crackling with crimson blood-lightning, shot from my fingertips. They tore through the air with a piercing shriek, flying towards the human forces.
Kiori instantly recognized the terrifying nature of the magic. She cried out, “Watch out!”
But it was already too late!
The malevolent old mage and several knights around him were instantly struck by my magic, triggering a violent explosion!
“A Tier 4 spell!” Kiori exclaimed, her face paling in shock. Ordinarily, even senior human mages could only wield Tier 3 spells. To cast a Tier 4 spell meant one had definitely entered the ranks of Archmages!
What astonished her even more was the speed of my casting. The higher the tier of magic, the longer the incantation, yet I had cast it almost instantaneously! This was something even an Archmage couldn’t achieve!
Of course, that was because her understanding was limited solely to humans!
The daughter of the Demon King, possessing the purest bloodline of the noble Aryan demon race, was born with the ability to cast instant spells!
The old man was half-dead from my magic, and though the other knights had strong defenses, they were all blasted into incapacitation, collapsing in a heap.
“Hmph, so much for the elite Templar Knights of humanity. Not very impressive, are they?” I boasted triumphantly.
“Fire arrows! Kill her!” a bald, burly warrior shouted, drawing his greatsword and pointing at me. He appeared to be the squad’s second-in-command.
“Wait…” For a moment, I saw a flicker of softness in Heavenly Glow Kiori, as if she wanted them to stop, but it seemed those individuals did not fully obey her commands.
Seven or eight handsome, tall rangers, exuding a heroic aura, drew their deadly composite longbows, aiming at me, a little girl barely five feet tall.
Several arrows flew towards me, each empowered with ranger skills—terrifying projectiles capable of piercing stone walls!
“Hmph! Good shot! I was hoping you’d shoot!” I declared, hands on my hips, making no attempt to dodge.
Those unstoppable arrows pierced my cloak, only to encounter an unyielding obstruction. Several flashes of purple light erupted, and all the arrows disintegrated into dust!
Beneath my cloak, I was clad in legendary armor second only to divine artifacts: the Armor of the Fallen Angel Princess. This was armor worn by Angel Princesses in ancient times as they battled demons from the deepest hell and evil gods who betrayed the heavens.
Did a mere human hunk of a ranger truly think they could shake it?
“What! H-how is that possible!” The bald man was dumbfounded.
Hmph, this brute looked thick-headed, yet he didn’t hesitate to try and kill a little girl. A typical bully and scoundrel!
“Use… use magic!” the old mage feebly urged.
Several mages stepped forward, beginning their incantations. I wasn’t in a hurry, merely standing in place, waiting for them to finish their slow chants.
Before long, fireballs, ice arrows, and lightning bolts crackled and crashed against my body. However, it was like a festive fireworks display!
Large fragments of black cloth were blown off, scattering onto the ground!
“Hahaha! Hahahahaha! She’s dead! Blasted to pieces!”
“We’ve eliminated the infamous Dark Princess! Hahaha, ha…”
As the smoke cleared, the ground was littered with fragments of black cloak, but I stood in the center of the field, utterly unharmed and spotless.
My hands were on my hips, radiating immense pride, while the human expeditionary force stared at me, dumbfounded.
Hmm? I noticed everyone was gawking at me, their gazes seemingly unusual.
Eh? Even Heavenly Glow Kiori was looking at me with a flushed face.
“Eh? What’s… what’s wrong?” Why was Heavenly Glow Kiori blushing? Was there something wrong with me?
My body… why did it feel so cool?
Oh no!
The previous attacks had completely shredded my cloak, leaving me clad only in the Armor of the Fallen Angel Princess. Aside from the most crucial areas being partially covered, the rest of me was practically naked! No, it was even more shameful than being completely naked!
In that instant, an overwhelming shame washed over me. I even felt the urge to scream like a girl who had been exposed, but I refused to give in, unwilling to let myself become truly feminized, even in such a moment!
But at this very moment, what strong words could I possibly utter to conceal this humiliating state?
The scene froze in near-total silence.
The humans, it seemed, hadn’t yet figured out how to breach my defense. Their primal instincts as lechers were also drawn to my body and the excessively sensual attire, giving them ample time to slowly devise a counter-strategy.
Though I was fundamentally a boy, when I felt the unavoidable swell of my chest and the smooth, unhindered white thighs pressed together, I simply could not remain composed before these men with their lewd, hostile gazes.
For a moment, I lost my ability to react and think. I even forgot that I possessed a teleportation ring.
I sank into a spiral of entanglement and self-reproach—a boy who shouldn’t feel shame, yet couldn’t escape the instinctive reactions of this body. My eyes became vacant, and my body began to tremble. I bent over, turning sideways, for both my front and back were too shameful.
I covered my body with my hands, but it was futile. The embarrassment was immense, even more humiliating than defeat…
Just then, a soft, warm cape, carrying a familiar fragrance, settled upon my shoulders. The cape was large, hinting at its tall owner, and easily enveloped my entire petite form.
Unbeknownst to me, Heavenly Glow Kiori had stepped in front of me, draping her own cloak over my body.
In that moment, I didn’t know what to say. I even forgot that she and I were enemies from opposing factions. I wanted to cry, and though my pride reminded me that boys absolutely must not shed tears, my face was already wet with them.
The reactions of a girl’s body did not require the consent of my male will.
