Faein’s Whispers and the Captive Princess

Chapter 17 • 894 words • 8 min read

Faein continued to whisper softly in my ear, as if her words could make me more susceptible to her arguments, even if it meant getting my ear wet. She breathed, ‘I must admit, your initial plan was quite clever. When strange sensations coursed through my body, affecting my combat performance, I realized I had fallen into a trap. However, with my strength, I could have easily escaped. But I didn’t want to return empty-handed. As you said, going back might mean facing severe consequences, and how could I then rescue the person I care about most? So, I turned the tables on you, pretending to be captured! You thought I was just a Holy Knight, bound by sacred ropes with disrupting properties, believing I couldn’t escape. But in truth, I am not only a Holy Knight; I have secretly cultivated Dark Force, reaching the rank of a Level Five Dark Knight. Using the Blade of Darkness, I effortlessly cut through the ropes, and now, I am the one threatening your neck with this skill.’

Faein continued, ‘As for the ring, I noticed it on your hand when we kissed before, and today, seeing you wear it again, I understood everything!’

My eyes glazed over as I realized that my senior had outsmarted me… She was indeed more skilled than me.

‘But Senior, why did you do this? Why kidnap me?’

‘I must rescue someone! This failure taught me that to save a person in the underworld, it’s best to use the underworld’s own power. You seem to have high authority and are so weak and adorable, so who better to kidnap than you?’

‘You’ve already kidnapped me, so stop flattering me by saying I’m cute! You’ve been planning to use me from the start!’

For some reason, my eyes welled up with tears.

‘Eh?’ Faein paused, her expression showing a hint of guilt. She turned her head away, avoiding my gaze. ‘Hmph, so what if I did?’

‘The person you want to save is Yukino, right?’

Faein shuddered, the black blade almost pressing against my delicate neck. She turned to face me, her eyes icy. ‘How do you know? What else do you know?’

Mentioning Yukino seemed to transform Faein completely, filling me with a pang of bitterness. Here I was, the one whose first kiss was stolen and who was being kidnapped, yet she seemed to care so deeply about Yukino. What was so special about her? She was just a frail, quiet girl!

I didn’t voice these thoughts but revealed that we had been monitoring her with Blood Shadow Bats.

‘Now I see why you knew our every move!’ Suddenly, Faein seemed to remember something, her face flushing. ‘You let so many people see me bathing!’

‘Not at all! I made everyone leave as soon as you started undressing!’

‘Is that so?’ Faein relaxed, her gaze softening. ‘Why would you do that? I’m your enemy, after all. Why care about these things?’

‘Whether you’re an enemy or not, Faein Senior, your body is sacred in my eyes and must not be profaned.’ I turned my head away as I spoke.

‘Eh?’ Faein looked at me with surprise, but quickly seemed to understand. ‘Hmm, I see. Coolie, could it be that you’ve actually fallen for me? That wouldn’t be surprising, as there are many who admire me, both in the capital and at the academy, whether they are boys or—girls.’

‘Who! Who said they like you! You’re still pointing that terrifying Dark Force blade at me!’ I avoided her gaze, but my face grew hot. Like her? Like someone so dominant and perfect? Never!

Faein sheathed her blade, tracing her slender fingers across my cheek. ‘Is that so? You haven’t fallen for me yet? I’m quite disappointed, Sister. Let me make you fall for me now.’

‘Eh?’

‘Submit to me.’ Faein lifted my face and kissed me again. This time, her hands were even bolder, her delicate fingers sliding down my neck to my chest, gently exploring before suddenly tightening their grip…

‘Nn… Ah…’

‘How is it, little one,’ Faein breathed, her lips nearly touching my parted ones. ‘Disobey, and I’ll keep increasing the pressure. Or do you want me to continue?’

‘Nn, don’t…’ My cheeks flushed, and I shook my head, my body squirming.

‘Don’t what? Don’t submit, or don’t continue?’ Faein’s fingertips applied more pressure.

‘Ah—no, please… don’t…’

‘What exactly don’t you want, little one? You’re being so vague, and it’s making me misunderstand. You’re deliberately stalling, aren’t you? Should I use more force?’

Faein’s fingertips sent another jolt of electricity through me.

No, Senior—But why can’t I form a complete sentence to stop her? My feeble resistance only seemed to encourage her more determined assault…

The underground city sprawls with dungeons, teeming with demons, as everyone pursues their own agendas. Human adventurers risk their lives to invade, undead wander the dim corridors, some humans become monster’s prey, while others gain treasure and return to the capital to buy homes and win beautiful maidens. Everything continues as usual.

But no one could have guessed that in the deepest dungeon of the underground city, a princess is imprisoned this very night.
