“I… I’m Number Two.”
Chen Si Yi stiffly fanned out her identity card, her face exceptionally pale.
I clutched my forehead, my expression one of profound agony.
“Three, Number Three is me.”
“Eh? Eh? Eh?”
Upon realizing that Chen Si Yi held Number Two and I held Number Three, Serena, who was standing nearby, gasped, her mouth agape. Her gaze at me immediately became incredibly subtle.
‘Lin… Lin Yan, you actually want to kiss Si Yi!?’ Her astonished reaction seemed to convey this meaning. To that, I could only think, ‘How could that be? It’s a mistake, all a mistake!’
“Ugh…”
Unlike the three of us who stood frozen like wooden chickens, or rather, demons, Park Yeon hung her head, a look of utter dejection on her face.
“Wh-why wasn’t it me? I prepared for so long, yet I didn’t get to take advantage of Si Yi at all.”
No, no, no, this was merely a game of chance. First, your plan had significant flaws and couldn’t possibly succeed 100%. Second, as a responsible brother, I would absolutely never let you get your way so easily!
Since Park Yeon’s resentful murmurs only reached my ears, I found myself a mix of joy and concern.
The joy came from thwarting Park Yeon’s ‘orange’ scheme; the concern, needless to say, was something anyone in my position would understand.
Though my current body was that of an adorable silver-haired little girl, my inner self remained the formidable Lin Yan of old.
For me to kiss Chen Si Yi was absolutely out of the question, from any perspective.
Therefore, at this point, the only option was to…
“No! I’m not kissing Sister Si Yi!”
I leaned back, collapsing onto the sofa and frantically shaking my white-socked legs.
“I’m not kissing Sister Si Yi, no, no, no!”
Yes, at this point, I decided to act shamelessly. After all, I looked like a little girl now, so throwing a tantrum wouldn’t be out of place, would it?
“Th-that… it’s fine, Little Sister Ruoxi, you actually don’t need to kiss Si Yi!”
Seeing me rolling around on the sofa, Park Yeon immediately interjected.
“Right, didn’t I say before that there shouldn’t be a ‘kissing card’ among them? In that case, it’s my responsibility. I didn’t check carefully enough when I chose the cards. You and Si Yi don’t need to kiss at all!”
“Let me… *cough, cough*, no, this game round essentially has a bug. It shouldn’t count!”
‘Let you do what? Although you tried to cover it up with a cough, Park Yeon, your predatory ambition was still fully exposed in my eyes.’
For once, Park Yeon and I reached an unexpected agreement.
“Oh, why is it like this?” Serena, standing beside us, complained, hands on her hips. “I was really looking forward to seeing Little Sister Ruoxi kiss Sister Si Yi.”
‘Don’t even think about it! Never! With such a depraved thought, tomorrow I’ll definitely tell Chen Si Yi to deal with you!’
Inadvertently, I turned my head to glance at Chen Si Yi, who had been silent for a while. Was it my imagination, or was her expression… one of regret?
Noticing my gaze, Chen Si Yi cleared her throat softly, adjusted her collar, and instantly regained her usual solemn demeanor.
“Hmm, I actually thought the same. Licking fingers or something similar is fine, but kissing is a bit too much.” Chen Si Yi turned her head, offering me a gentle smile. “After all, I can’t possibly take Little Sister Ruoxi’s first kiss, can I?”
And so, because the game had a ‘bug,’ the idea of kissing was unanimously rejected by all four of us. (Even Serena, who initially disagreed, voiced no objections after Chen Si Yi shot her a glare.)
However, as a small punishment, Chen Si Yi slowly leaned in towards my cheek, leaving a soft, moist mark.
“Mmm…”
Feeling that warm and tender touch, my entire body flushed, and my face turned as red as a ripe tomato.
‘What? Chen Si Yi… she actually kissed me?’
I had originally thought it was just an act, but touching the spot where I’d been kissed and seeing the faint lipstick residue on my hand, I froze instantly.
‘Come to think of it, that soft touch… it actually felt quite nice…’

After dinner and washing up, the clock hands pointed to exactly ten o’clock.
Although Park Yeon and Chen Si Yi still had many topics left to discuss, they were forced to go to bed early, as it was Monday tomorrow and they had school.
Just like last time, Serena and Park Yeon slept together, while I remained in Chen Si Yi’s bedroom.
“Good night, Si Yi. You don’t need to wake me up tomorrow morning; I want to sleep in.”
After softly cautioning Chen Si Yi, I closed my eyes, hoping to fall asleep quickly and escape the awkward atmosphere.
However, scarcely a few seconds after my head touched the pillow, Chen Si Yi grabbed my wrist and pulled me up from the bed once more.
“Wait, don’t sleep yet. I still have something to talk to you about.”
As Chen Si Yi spoke, she pulled me into an embrace, pressing my back tightly against her chest.
“Eh? Si… Si Yi, wh-what else is there?”
Feeling the subtle softness emanating from my back, my heart began to pound, and my words came out in a stutter.
“Is it perhaps about what happened this afternoon?” I asked timidly. “Are you here to settle scores now?”
“Oh, how could that be?” Chen Si Yi chuckled, rubbing my head. “I was just joking with those words. Do you think your old sister here is really that petty?”
‘Ugh… of course you are.’
Although I desperately wanted to answer that way, my overwhelming survival instinct made me shake my head frantically instead.
“Then what is it about?”
I was quite confused. If she wasn’t seeking revenge, then what was it for?
“…”
Chen Si Yi didn’t answer my question. She simply and silently pulled a phone from her pajama pocket.
And it was my phone.
“What do you think I’m looking for you about?”
Chen Si Yi’s left arm tightened around my waist. Then, she unlocked the phone screen, revealing a meaningful smile to me…
