Author’s Note: A Look Back and Ahead

Thus, the original concept for this book envisioned Yodel Finn becoming Thanatos’s assassin in the mortal realm, meticulously orchestrating various accidental deaths, and eventually ascending to become the new God of Death.

I wonder if readers would have preferred that original concept, or if the current direction resonates more.

This marks my debut as a novelist, and while I had initially prepared ten chapters in advance, they were swiftly depleted mere days after the book’s release, as my writing speed proved utterly insufficient to match the demanding update schedule.

It wasn’t until my reserves dwindled to just two chapters that my daily word count barely scraped past 4,000 characters.

On one particular day, I attempted to publish three updates, only to find my mind utterly drained by the effort.

How do those authors who consistently churn out ten thousand characters daily manage such a feat?

Are they, perhaps, multi-limbed monstrosities?

Returning to the narrative itself, as you can all observe, the first volume has now concluded.

I’m uncertain whether everyone found it enjoyable, so please, do not hesitate to voice any opinions or suggestions you may have.

As a rookie author, I often find myself unsure if my writing truly suits everyone’s tastes, thus your abundant feedback would be immensely beneficial for my growth.

The second volume, as its title implies, will revolve around Princess Cecilia Windsor’s narrative.

The protagonist will formally enter the arena of royal power struggles, gradually assisting Cecilia Windsor in ascending the throne, and subsequently playing a more pivotal role in the impending world war.

The hidden histories of Thanatos and her interactions with other deities will also be unveiled.

Yodel Finn, for his part, will embark upon the arduous path to godhood in this volume, gradually evolving from merely Thanatos’s ‘leg accessory’ to an equal partner, and their relationship will experience significant new developments.
