Join the ServerShe was a being without a fixed form, her entire body composed of water from head to toe.
Her limbs were long and graceful, her figure flawlessly beautiful.
Her snow-white chest was left bare, while deep blue eyes gazed downward from above.
Her body was soft and alluring.
White mist condensed around her body, forming a thin veil-like garment.
From appearance alone, she was already almost indistinguishable from a human.
All the water currents gathered toward her, forming a massive waterspout that lifted her above the lake.
At the same time, bubbles began surfacing across the water while white mist spread through the area, making the underground lake seem dreamlike and unreal.
Merely appearing was enough to trigger such natural phenomena.
Just what kind of existence was she…?
Even the information displayed by Observation failed to reveal her level or rank.
More bizarrely, her HP displayed as “None.”
Not question marks.
Not hidden values.
Simply nonexistent.
Did that mean she possessed no life signs at all?
And those three titles were equally abnormal…
Lord of Water Elements.
Guardian of the Labyrinth.
Demon God of Pure Waters.
Every single one sounded extraordinary, and Ye Yousheng could roughly infer their meanings.
“Lord of Water Elements” likely meant she stood at the absolute pinnacle of all water elements and could freely command them.
In games Ye Yousheng had played before, similar elemental lifeforms often appeared.
Perhaps Undine was something similar.
As for “Guardian of the Labyrinth,” it likely meant she was the one overseeing this labyrinth.
Perhaps the blue barrier at the stairway had been created by her.
A barrier that even Tenth-Tier magic could not shake.
To create and maintain such a barrier…
And judging by her appearance, she seemed to have only just awakened.
Which meant—
She had been maintaining the barrier even while asleep?
That was terrifying.
As for the final title, “Demon God of Pure Waters”…
Did that mean she was a deity among the Demon Race?
Since arriving in this other world, Ye Yousheng had never encountered any demons.
Usually, in games, demons were villainous races.
But on the Misty Continent…
Things felt somewhat subtle.
At the very least, when Lulu explained the Demon Race to him, she showed neither disgust nor fear.
She simply described them calmly, as though speaking about any ordinary race.
Could it be that demons in this world were not actually villains?
Ye Yousheng could not make a judgment yet.
After all, Lulu was a Hobbit, so he still did not know humanity’s attitude toward demons.
Perhaps humans and demons were mortal enemies.
While Ye Yousheng was lost in these thoughts, Avisotel moved first.
Standing firmly atop the water, the monkey narrowed its eyes and glared viciously at Undine.
“Well now… what a surprise.”
“To think there’d be someone as strong as you hiding beneath my territory…”
It instantly realized that Undine was not an existence to be trifled with.
Even without releasing any killing intent or pressure, its monster instincts were screaming at it to leave this place immediately.
But leave?
That would mean running away.
The ruler of the deepest floor of the dungeon labyrinth… fleeing?
That was the ultimate humiliation.
Before entering the labyrinth, Avisotel had encountered monsters stronger than itself many times before.
But in the end, it had always been the victor.
Even though Water Monkeys were considered an extremely weak species, it still clawed its way this far.
It had reached a realm countless monsters could never attain even after struggling their entire lives.
It had gained power surpassing all limits.
That pride supported it and erased any thoughts of retreat.
Meanwhile, Undine looked toward Ye Yousheng first.
She stared at him for quite a while before finally shifting her gaze toward Avisotel, just before the monkey’s anger exploded.
“Your territory?”
Rather than questioning him aggressively, she tilted her head as though she genuinely did not understand what he meant.
Naturally, she did not expect an answer either.
She merely continued speaking calmly.
“While I slept, a monster actually began ruling over the labyrinth?”
“If I remember correctly, the Sealed Gate should not allow monsters above Fourth Tier to enter…”
“Has the dimensional rift expanded again…?”
Undine yawned softly and spoke in a sleepy tone.
“It seems… I really have slept for too long.”
Ye Yousheng quietly drifted farther away from the two.
He knew this was the moment he had been waiting for!
The instant they began fighting, he would immediately use the Windbind Rope to climb back to the thirtieth floor!
“Wait.”
“You can’t leave yet.”
“Just stay there obediently for now.”
Ye Yousheng had assumed that under these circumstances, no one would care about a tiny shrimp like him.
Yet Undine had actually noticed his movements.
Or rather—
She had never ignored him from the start.
There were no incantations.
No gestures.
She did not even speak the name of a skill.
Together with the surrounding water, Ye Yousheng’s body floated upward!
A cube-shaped block of water suspended itself in midair.
His upper body floated above the “surface,” while the lower half of his body remained trapped inside the water.
The currents wrapped tightly around him, making escape impossible.
Even though it was still liquid, Ye Yousheng felt as though he had been frozen inside solid ice.
“It’ll be over soon.”
“Dealing with a ridiculous monkey like this won’t take very long.”
Her tone was incomparably casual.
Facing a monster like Avisotel, she remained utterly calm.
“…Ridiculous monkey…?”
“…GRAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!”
“I told you I hate being called a monkeyyyyyyy!!”
With its rage completely detonated, Avisotel charged toward Undine.
Its arm swelled to three times its original size as it unleashed its full strength.
Its previously thin and small body instantly bulged with muscles.
In complete contrast to the serious Avisotel, Undine remained absent-minded.
Even as the monkey rushed straight toward her, she showed no panic whatsoever.
“If you’re not a monkey, then what are you?”
A question overflowing with contempt.
And immediately afterward—
A gigantic waterfall crashed down from above!
But this was no ordinary waterfall.
Its bottom was perfectly flat.
Like an inverted plateau descending from the heavens, it accelerated downward with overwhelming force!
The scattered currents and mist throughout the area all gathered toward the colossal mass of water, forming whirlpools that propelled the waterfall even faster!
Compared to that enormous force, Avisotel appeared utterly insignificant.
The waterfall smashed directly into it, driving it beneath the water and completely swallowing it within the raging torrent.
“So in the end…”
“A monkey is still just a monkey.”
Absolute power.
A crushing victory.
Before Ye Yousheng’s eyes, Undine displayed her overwhelmingly unmatched strength.
Seeing the monkey dealt with, Undine gently pressed her hand downward, as though issuing an order to every water element present to calm themselves.
And the waters truly became peaceful.
Just seconds ago, the underground lake had been violently turbulent, more dangerous than an ocean caught in a storm.
Yet only moments later, it had become perfectly calm.
She beckoned lightly, causing the water cube imprisoning Ye Yousheng to float toward her.
Then she spoke.
“Now then…”
“We can finally have a proper conversation…”
At that moment, the water in the distance suddenly turned red.
Then the horribly battered monkey crawled back out from the lake.
Avisotel was a Water Monkey.
Creatures of this species were naturally capable of walking and running across water surfaces, allowing them to move freely atop the lake as though on land.
After coughing up a mouthful of blood, it raised its bloodshot eyes and roared:
“Cough… Don’t screw with me…!”
“Don’t screw with me!!”
Water Monkeys excelled at aquatic combat.
For Avisotel, this underground lake should have been its ideal battlefield where it could unleash its full strength.
Yet it had actually been defeated by water itself.
A Water Monkey defeated by water.
This was complete and utter defeat.
Dropping to its knees atop the lake, it threw back its head and roared toward the sky.
“I’m an ‘Awakened One’!”
“I’m different from those brainless monsters!”
“I gained power beyond all limits!”
“No one else did it!”
“Not even those self-proclaimed superior races could do it!”
“Only I crossed that boundary!”
Even while vomiting blood, it continued screaming.
“I was the only one who transcended!”
“And I even gained the Third Hand!”
“I toyed with all of them in the palm of my hand!”
It spoke desperately of its achievements.
Its pride.
As though trying to prove its own worth.
“So what?”
And all of it was mercilessly crushed apart.
“You merely reached Sixth Tier, yet you’re already this arrogant…”
“What a frog in a well.”
“An ignorant monkey.”
Standing before it was an existence vastly stronger than itself.
A being capable of effortlessly crushing it beneath her feet.
Undine slowly raised one finger after another as she spoke.
“Although I haven’t become a ‘Complete Existence’ like the Tenth-Tier Gods…”
She stopped after raising eight fingers.
“…I am still Eighth Tier, you know?”
The walls within Avisotel’s heart completely shattered.
Faced with this hopeless difference in strength and the collapse of its understanding of reality, it finally lost all sanity.
The Third Hand on its tail instantly expanded countless times in size, turning pitch black.
Sharp claws protruded from its fingertips.
And then—
A crack opened within the black palm itself!
Inside was endless chaos, as though it sought to devour everything into nothingness!
Watching this scene, Undine spoke calmly.
“So your soul has completely lost itself…”
“How pitiful.”
“In that case…”
“Allow me to end this.”
“All things are born from water…”
Her hollow voice echoed through the space once more.
Even though Undine could freely command water elements without incantations, she actually began chanting.
“All things return to water…”
Blue light drifted from her body as a magical pattern began forming beside her out of thin air.
“Water is both life and death…”
The pattern was quickly completed.
And Ye Yousheng immediately recognized it.
That emblem was identical to the blue seal carved into the walls of the Safe Room!
At last, the mystery of the Safe Room was solved.
The reason monsters dared not enter that room—
Was because it contained Undine’s seal!
“All things flow endlessly and shall ultimately be devoured by water…”
“Though for something at this level, this much should be enough.”
At that point, Undine suddenly stopped chanting mid-incantation, forcibly interrupting her own spell.
If an ordinary mage attempted something like that, they would absolutely suffer severe backlash.
But Undine had no such concerns.
Even without finishing the chant, the magic would still activate.
It simply would not activate completely.
Because she herself was a Water Elemental and could freely manipulate water magic.
“Water Spirit Manifestation—”
“Great Water Serpent.”
From the blue emblem emerged a gigantic serpent entirely composed of water.
Currents flowed through its body like blood vessels.
It flicked its tongue while staring ahead, though the blank emptiness within its snake eyes made it impossible to determine exactly where it was looking.
“Go.”
“Devour it.”
Following its master’s command, it shot forward like lightning.
It wrapped its body around the black hand before swallowing downward from above in a single bite.
Avisotel had absolutely no power to resist.
Just as Undine’s chant declared—
This Water Monkey born from water ultimately met its end within water.
This was not even a battle.
It was merely one-sided slaughter.
“Finally over.”
“What a waste of time…”
“I wanted to go back to sleep sooner.”
Undine spoke with visible annoyance.
“Come here, human.”
After summoning Ye Yousheng before her, Undine revealed an incredibly gentle smile.
“Choose the way you want to die.”
And with that warm smile—
She spoke words of utter cruelty.
