Flirting with a Cunning Doctor

Chapter 9 Part 92,389 words20 min read

When the person you like is on the verge of finding a partner, do you tactfully turn around and leave immediately, or do you proactively step forward to fight for them?

A confident and cheerful person would most likely choose the latter, but Tang Chen happened to have an awkward, tsundere personality, layered with self-doubt and a lack of love.

Naturally, his first instinct was to retreat three feet away and deliberately maintain his distance.

But how could Ye Cheng possibly let things go according to his wishes?

Lately, he had been flirting crazily every single day, aiming to make the other party completely lose their ability to ward him off until they finally surrendered.

He would constantly approach as if inadvertently, executing ambiguous gestures that made one’s heart inevitably race.

By utilizing the pretext of being a friend or a doctor, he left Tang Chen with absolutely no valid reason to refuse him.

Take a certain morning, for instance.

Tang Chen was standing in front of the mirror with his eyelids drooping, slowly brushing his teeth while looking as though he might fall asleep at any given second.

Ye Cheng suddenly walked in out of nowhere and said out of the blue:

“The way you’re brushing your teeth doesn’t meet the standard.”

At that hour, Tang Chen hadn’t fully woken up yet.

He turned his head a beat too slow, his face entirely blank:

“…Huh?”

Before he could even pay attention, his toothbrush was snatched away by the other man.

“Open wide.”

Presumably due to a habit formed during his previous dental treatments, Tang Chen naturally opened his mouth for him.

Ye Cheng took the opportunity to slide the toothbrush into his mouth, skillfully brushing it for him while attaching a gentle explanation:

“It’s not enough to just brush side to side. You also need to pay attention to brushing up and down; the gaps are easily neglected.”

Tang Chen blinked a couple of times and finally snapped out of his daze.

His expression turned shocked and a little flustered, and he instantly wanted to take a step back.

However, his chin was firmly held in place by a hand, and the man coaxed him as if speaking to a child:

“Don’t move around.”

I…!

Every look in his eyes conveyed silent curses.

Seeing this annoying face the moment he woke up instantly made him want to throw a punch over.

He was so angry that his face flushed a deep red; without even needing to act, he already perfectly resembled a naive youth who was blushing and nervous from having the person they liked lean too close.

At the very end, the brush had to lightly sweep over his tongue coating.

Tang Chen knit his brows, desperately wanting to spit a face full of foam at him.

Ye Cheng smiled gently:

“Rinse your mouth.”

Tang Chen shot him a glare, furiously picking up his cup to rinse before snatching the towel handed over to wipe his face.

Ye Cheng actually went on to say:

“Brushing your teeth like this makes it very easy to develop cavities again. From now on, I will inspect your brushing. If it doesn’t meet the standard, I’ll teach you again.”

He was a perfect model of patience, worthy of being a textbook example of an ideal doctor.

However, the uncooperative patient being stared down only wanted to cough up blood.

“Inspect me? There are so many people out there who don’t brush their teeth seriously, yet you don’t go stare at them and choose to target me instead. Is this really appropriate?!”

Tang Chen was so angry he was about to bristle.

Heaven knew he really disliked doctors—disliked them passionately!

“What do they have to do with me? You are my friend.”

Ye Cheng was smiling with narrowed eyes, wearing an expression that took it as a matter of course.

…Is it not an option for us to stop being friends then!

Ye Cheng raised an eyebrow:

“Since you aren’t denying it, that means you’ve agreed. I’ll be watching you brush your teeth from now on.”

Oh? ‘Oh’ your sister!

Every time he brushed his teeth, the man could always find a flaw.

After slowly practicing like this day after day, Tang Chen felt that he could practically become a model student for a tooth-brushing tutorial.

Aside from this, there were many other minor details in their daily life.

Every time Tang Chen was flirted with to the point of exploding, he felt an overwhelming urge to respectfully offer up his job with both hands to this formidable figure before him.

He had even thought up a slogan for him: Whose seduction technique reigns supreme? Look for Ye Cheng in this world!

One day, after Tang Chen finished managing his own work, he curled up on the sofa again to watch TV and eat snacks.

Unexpectedly, the plot reached a boring segment. As he watched, he slumped over and accidentally fell asleep.

When he sensed a strange movement—a slightly itchy, cool sensation on his chest—he frowned and couldn’t resist opening his eyes.

He immediately saw a certain someone sitting on the adjacent sofa, gazing at him with a smile.

Looking down, his loose loungewear had been rolled up past the halfway mark, completely exposing his pale belly and lean waist to the air.

His lips twitched:

“May I ask what exactly is going on here?”

Ye Cheng was thoroughly composed as he picked up a tiny scapegoat and said:

“Xiao Mi did it.”

The little kitten looked innocent and bewildered, letting out a cute, clueless meow.

Tang Chen cooperative played along, casting a glance at the kitten before saying flatly:

“I didn’t expect it to hit its mating season so soon. I’ll take you to get neutered tomorrow.”

As his gaze swept across, shifting slightly downward, it landed precisely on Ye Cheng’s lap.

Ye Cheng’s eyebrows twitched imperceptibly as he laughed:

“Oh my, Xiao Mi has upset the master.”

Tang Chen shook his head with a solemn face:

“Incorrect. I should be the sugar daddy.”

Massaging the kitten, Ye Cheng smiled:

“And then, I am the servant who cleans the litter box?”

“Exactly.”

Tang Chen nodded without a shred of hesitation.

Ye Cheng remained silent, simply staring at him with a half-smile until Tang Chen’s face flushed all the way down to his neck. Only then did he retract his gaze in satisfaction.

Mn, a tooth for a tooth—a mutual back-and-forth was only fair.

After many days, the flirting had reached the final stretch.

Ye Cheng was looking forward to seeing what kind of reaction Tang Chen would be driven to make.

In the evening, after both of them had bathed, they sat on the sofa.

Tang Chen poured two glasses of alcohol and pushed one in front of Ye Cheng.

Ye Cheng stared at the beautifully colored liquid swirling gently inside the transparent glass, casting faint ripples.

Suddenly, a glint flashed through his eyes, and he smiled covertly—

‘Drugged? What does he intend to do?’

Pondering silently in his mind, he picked up the glass as if entirely oblivious, sipping it slowly under the watchful gaze of Tang Chen’s peripheral vision.

Very quickly, more than half the glass was gone.

Tang Chen had anticipated that the other party might discover the drug, so he had administered a rather large dosage—enough to render him limp and unable to move for at least half an hour.

He stared at him intently. Only after confirming that it had all been swallowed did he feel a hint of satisfaction, feeling as though his pent-up grievances from being relentlessly flirted with for days had finally been vented.

The drug’s effects gradually began to kick in.

Ye Cheng slumped onto the sofa. His consciousness was still reasonably clear, but his limbs were limp and entirely devoid of strength.

He blinked a couple of times, showing no signs of panic, and asked with a warm laugh:

“Why did you drug me?”

Even in this helpless condition, he still looked immensely intrigued, acting as if he wouldn’t be afraid even if the heavens collapsed.

Tang Chen raised an eyebrow and grunted:

“Take a guess?”

He then leaned down over the beauty sprawled on the sofa, propping his hands on either side of the man’s face.

Scrutinizing him from above, the corners of his mouth lifted slightly. Coupled with his overly exquisite face, his smile was arrogant and flamboyant—it was practically stunning.

His movements were measured and unhurried as he began to strip Ye Cheng’s clothes with a highly clear objective, his hands slipping inside to boldly stroke his skin.

“You want to top me?”

Ye Cheng couldn’t help but feel a bit surprised.

From the very moment he decided to make a move on Tang Chen, he had never intended to be the one on the bottom, nor had he ever tried it.

Was his “top” aura not distinct enough?

To actually be drugged by his target, who was furthermore planning to top him?

For some reason, he felt a bit amused.

“I don’t play the role of a zero.”

Ye Cheng was exceptionally direct.

Tang Chen was currently looking down while stroking his abdominal muscles—smooth and firm, the texture was very nice.

Hearing his words, he merely lifted his eyes to glance at him.

“What a coincidence. Neither do I.”

Having been a villain for so many years, although he had never actually tasted meat, someone as consistently overbearing as him could never allow another person to get a taste first during his very first time.

Naturally, he had to take the initiative.

Ye Cheng chuckled softly. His fingers resting by his side moved slightly; he was just about to stop pretending and flip over to sit up.

Suddenly, a phone ringtone blasted through the room.

Tang Chen reached out to grab his phone from the coffee table. Seeing that it was Li You calling at such a late hour, it was likely something urgent.

After a brief thought, he answered it anyway.

The voice on the other end spoke rapidly.

Tang Chen’s expression shifted instantly, his back straightening subconsciously as he said gravely:

“Alright, I’ll head over right away.”

He hung up and stood up immediately, pulling a blanket to throw over Ye Cheng.

“I need to go out for a bit. I’ll explain it to you when I get back.”

“Where are you going?”

Ye Cheng’s brows knit tightly, his face turning somewhat dark.

Any man whose mood was disrupted under these circumstances would not be pleased.

“A friend ran into some trouble; I need to go help.”

Tang Chen only managed to throw out a quick line before striding swiftly toward the entryway, grabbing his jacket and keys, putting on his shoes, and heading out the door.

Only when he opened the car door did Tang Chen suddenly realize—

‘Wait a minute, isn’t the mission different now?’

In the past, he had to constantly clash with the male lead, and sometimes he even shared a love-rival relationship with him, requiring him to rush out at the first opportunity to rescue the Protagonist Shou as the perfect backup.

Habit really is a terrifying thing. The moment he heard the Protagonist Shou was in danger, he automatically assumed the mission had arrived.

What an undesirable conditioned reflex—a total occupational hazard.

In the few seconds he spent reflecting, Ye Cheng had already followed him out.

Sliding into the passenger seat, he said with calm composure:

“I’m coming with you.”

Tang Chen:

“…Why didn’t the drug work?”

Ye Cheng shrugged with a somewhat punchable smirk:

“Because I didn’t actually drink it.”

“You were faking it the whole time?”

A vein throbbed violently on Tang Chen’s forehead.

Ye Cheng looked entirely innocent:

“It couldn’t be helped. I was far too curious about what you intended to do.”

Tang Chen:

“Get out of the car.”

Ye Cheng smiled:

“No.”

The two of them stared straight at each other, neither willing to back down.

Seeing that this man could not be driven away no matter what, Tang Chen simply asked:

“Can you fight?”

Ye Cheng was slightly stunned, but he answered immediately:

“Black belt in karate.”

Tang Chen paused for a second, then disengaged the handbrake and stepped on the gas.

Responding to its master’s mood, the car rapidly sped away.

While driving, he unceremoniously ordered the man beside him:

“Help me call someone. Yu Shijian.”

Ye Cheng didn’t ask questions, directly doing as instructed and putting it on speakerphone.

Tang Chen didn’t waste words, delivering crisp and concise instructions:

“Call twenty guys who can fight for me. I’ll send you the address right away.”

The person on the other end had initially wanted to chat, but being abruptly cut off, he also immediately grasped the gravity of the situation.

He answered slickly:

“Got it, right away!”

The entire call lasted a mere few seconds before hanging up.

Listening to this, Ye Cheng couldn’t resist teasing:

“Are you in the underworld?”

Tang Chen spun the steering wheel, saying:

“I’m not, but he dabbles a bit.”

Ye Cheng:

“Are we going to a brawl?”

Tang Chen:

“Yes. I told you not to come just now. Should I drop you off at the next intersection?”

Ye Cheng laughed:

“What are you implying? Do you think I can’t fight? I might very well be your strongest combat asset.”

“No. If someone finds out, the newspapers will be running a scandal about the young master of the Ye family brawling in an alleyway. I already have a terrible reputation and have nothing to fear, but you would be stirring up a massive hornets’ nest.”

Hearing these unhesitating words, Ye Cheng’s eyes flashed slightly as his lips curled:

“You still have the presence of mind to think about so much? Since we’re already friends, then of course I should go all out for you.”

Tang Chen suddenly let out a smile, saying dashingly:

“Fine, I’ll remember your words. I’ll repay you in the future.”

Ye Cheng laughed:

“Who knows, maybe you can repay me very soon.”

For instance… by offering your hand in marriage.
