Chapter 30: Busking Viewing

“Look over there, unnie. That stage they were setting up earlier must be for busking.”

In the center of the square that I pointed to with my finger, the bright lights and the sound of singing were approaching the smoking area, cutting through the darkening street.

“I guess so. There are so many people.”

“Isn’t this a concert, not busking?”

[We’re curious about it!]

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Give me more.”

I talked with the viewers and showed my cell phone back in the direction of the noisy sound.

“It looks like they’re performing.”

[They’re on SNS right now, it’s Im Yu-jun and Bom Baram.]

[What’s Bom Baram?]

[What the hell, don’t you know about Bom Baram? Are you a caveman?]

[Breaking News: Signature Entertainment is broadcasting a surprise busking live on T-Pop and B-Tube to promote the Bom Baram concert with Im Yu-jun.]

[What the hell is this, they’re really pulling the aggro →→]

[This is going to be fun, boss! Let’s go right now!]

Judging from the viewers’ chats, it seemed like the singers were busking to promote the concert.

Im Yu-jun and Bom Baram, who were shown in the chats, were famous enough that even I, who don’t know much about celebrities, knew about them.

Im Yu-jun was a singer who had captured people’s hearts with his good looks and crazy singing ability at a young age in his mid-20s, and was called a national singer, while Bom Baram was a singer who was promoted by Im Yu-jun, who was in the same agency.

Using Im Yu-jun’s push, Bom Baram captured the hearts of the people in an instant with his incredibly beautiful looks and excellent singing ability, and grew rapidly, pushing out Im Yu-jun in terms of fan base alone.

“Unnie, that’s Im Yu-jun and Bom Baram busking. Should we go watch it?”

“Huh? Is it really Im Yu-jun?”

“The viewers said so.”

“Then let’s go quickly! Busking by famous singers like that can cause problems if too many people gather, so they’ll only sing two or three songs and end right away. Let’s go before then.”

Seeing my unnie’s expectant expression, I started walking towards the square, but my unnie stopped me.

“Ae-eul, I’ll film you for a bit.”

“Huh? Why did you go that far, it’s okay.”

“No, I really wanted to try something like this! I want to try, Ga-eul.”

“This is heavier than I thought. If my arms hurt while I’m doing it, do I have to give it back to you?”

“Yeah, yeah!”

After I handed my unnie the tripod, she took a step back from me and started filming me.

[Full body shot of the room leader]

[The room leader is really a b*tch]

[Really, how can someone look like that?]

[The proportions are crazy and her skin is also really pretty.]

“Right? Ga-eul is really pretty.

Especially her eyes are really pretty like jewels, so if she takes off her glasses, it’s over, but it’s a shame you guys can’t see it.”

[Vice Commander hi Vice Commander Nuna please take off those sunglasses]

[Vice Commander, why are you watching alone?]

[Please let us see too so we can dig in.]

“Ahahaha, I’m the vice commander?”

[ The inauguration ceremony is already over.]

“What the heck guys, if my unnie says something stupid while she’s looking at the chat window, she’ll turn off the broadcast.”

[Ahahaha just trust us]

[Really just trust us Nuna ==]

“Ae-eul, the viewers are telling us to only trust them.”

“They keep their promises so well even though they don’t suit each other.”

[Why the hell are we!!] [Aaaaaa that’s right, what the heck, why?]

“It’s more frustrating than I thought since I can’t see the chat window.”

“Ga-eul, I’ll film you again. And get another cell phone account.”

“Do we really have to go that far?”

While talking with my unnie, I approached the center of the square to watch.

Since it had only started recently and word had died down, there weren’t many people to be seen.

As I got closer, I saw people wearing the same fluorescent vests standing between the onlookers and the others to keep fans from barging in, and Im Yu-jun was singing on a stage that was lower than I thought.

“Wow, this is my first time seeing Im Yu-jun this close! He’s really handsome.”

My unnie was a fan of Im Yu-jun, she liked him more than I thought.

“He’s handsome, but he needs to be as sturdy as a bear.”

“Huh… Is autumn your style?”

His eyes were wide open, surprised by the sudden revelation of his tastes.

“Rather than saying it’s my taste, he’s just so skinny. He’d break if you hit him.”

“But he’s a pretty boy and really kind.”

Just as his older unnie said, Im Yu-jun had a fragile yet handsome appearance that seemed like he might shed tears if you hit him.

Despite being in his mid-twenties, the title of pretty boy really suited him.

“What do you mean, a pretty boy who’ll freeze to pieces?

Guys who are big and strong like bears are careful and nice to others because they know they’re strong.

And those guys must have good back strength at night. How nice is that?”

“Ugh. Autumn! Don’t say that outside!”

My older unnie was startled, came closer, and covered my mouth.

[I’m going to quit my gym routine]

[Why was I born a piece of shit?]

[Mom, please give me some allowance. I need to quit PT so badly!]

[You little shit]

[Jjang!]

[Red Parade donates 3,000,000 won]

[Can a half-moon bear do it too? Please]

[What the f*ck, will it work? Please is so funny]

Even while having that conversation with my unnie, Im Yu-jun continued to sing passionately, and when the song ended, Im Yu-jun’s voice was heard along with the sound of applause.

[Thank you for listening. Please come to our joint concert in two weeks. Next is the last song, and you all know what it is, right? I’ll sing “Three Steps to Love.”]

The song Im Yu-jun sang was a lively love song, but contrary to its atmosphere, it was notorious for being difficult to protect the copyright of in the Im Yu-jun style.

[A step towards a meeting that became the beginning.]

Even though it wasn’t a duet, they took turns singing a verse each with Bom Baram, came down the stage, and waved to the fans as a fan service.

“Wow! Autumn, Im Yu-jun is coming to us too.”

[Im Yu-jun’s last song, so I thought it was fan service]

[But why is the host’s expression like that?]

[Isn’t he interested? Spring’s expressionless face is really pretty]

A large camera, as if it were a broadcasting station employee filming, turned its head following the movements of Im Yu-jun and Bom Baram, and Im Yu-jun was smiling brightly while singing a difficult song and providing fan service.

Im Yu-jun, who had been waving his hands diligently and high-fiving fans, suddenly stopped moving and blankly stared at me for a long time before coming towards me.

[A step towards friendship that will become a precious memory]

Seeing him sing so diligently while doing everything, I thought he really was a pro.

Even while people around me were screaming and reaching out their hands for me to clap, I didn’t feel anything and just stared blankly.

Bom Baram, who had been looking at Im Yu-jun’s face more than the fans, soon matched Im Yu-jun’s pace and approached me.

While I was looking blankly, Im Yu-jun came in front of me, stopped walking, and continued to sing while looking at my face as if he was singing to me.

[Why is that kid stopping in front of our host and acting like that?]

[Don’t touch my eyes, you piece of shit, do you deserve two lives?]

[Why does Bom Baram’s face look so distorted? Was she originally that ugly?]

[Wow, our host was the manager of a squid factory]

[She may be good at singing, but she’s 90% known for her face, so how could she be ugly? It’s because of the host]

[Bom Baram is so pretty, she’s a patriotic beauty who’s popular overseas too.]

[Bom Baram looks like she’s put on a ton of makeup.]

[It feels like the host is the only one shining. She really is pretty.]

The verse that Bom Baram had gone over was about to end, and the last and most difficult highlight part of the song was about to go to Im Yu-jun.

Just as Im Yu-jun was about to put the mic to his lips to sing, Bom Baram suddenly put the mic in front of my mouth without even finishing his verse.

[Why is that bastard holding the mic to the host?]

[What is that girl doing?]

Bom Baram was smiling beautifully.

It seemed like she was going to share a song with her fans. I could see the meanness in that behavior and smile.

Since it was Im Yu-jun’s debut song and the most famous song that brought Im Yu-jun here, I was fortunately familiar with the lyrics because I could hear it everywhere.

The sound started coming out of my mouth.

As it came out, it vibrated like crazy in the air.

The emotions of sadness, freshness, longing, and loveliness were all gathered and bursting out.

Despite the high octave, I could hear the message that a storm of a song had been activated with a deep trembling that would give me goosebumps.

The passionate emotions, singing ability, and even the beautiful voice, everything mixed together to become a heavenly harmony.

[I wish my feelings were conveyed without saying a word]

A storm of emotions that felt like I was going crazy swept over me.

As soon as I closed my mouth, I saw Lim Yu-jun and the spring breeze with their eyes wide open and their mouths gaping blankly, and the audience that had been screaming so loudly that their ears were about to burst suddenly became quiet.
