The Rebirth and the Rampage of a Dragon

Chapter 491,884 words16 min read

“So, the current situation is that True Monarch You Qing’s eldest disciple, who once died, has been reborn.” The man pointed at Ying Wangyou.

Ying Wangyou erupted in fury. “Don’t point at me!”

The man retracted his hand, then pointed at the child beside her. “And the Demon Lord, Dan Fusheng, has suddenly turned into a child?”

Dan Fusheng, whose long hair was styled into two small buns, waved his hand timidly at the man.

The man patted Dan Fusheng’s head, then finally pointed at Chen Gui. “And True Monarch Yaoling has also become a child?”

He moved to pat Chen Gui as well, but Chen Gui leaned back, evading his touch. He remained silent, yet his resistance was palpable.

“That’s precisely how it is,” Bai Yu said, his voice laced with helplessness, having brought the three children all this way to the Special Administration Bureau’s headquarters.

The three children sat in a row on the sofa. Ying Wangyou, the most vivacious of them, immediately began to explore every corner. Eventually, with surprising dexterity, she located a small refrigerator in the office and discovered ice cream inside.

“Senior Sister!” Dan Fusheng grew anxious. “You can’t just take other people’s things.”

“Why not? This uncle is clearly Uncle Bai’s superior,” Ying Wangyou said, peeling back the wrapper and shoving the ice cream directly into her mouth. She continued, her words muffled, “Such a big leader won’t mind if we eat a few ice creams. It’s no problem.”

Ying Wangyou offered some to Dan Fusheng and Chen Gui. Dan Fusheng didn’t dare to accept, while Chen Gui frowned in condemnation. “Taking something without asking is stealing. You shouldn’t do that.”

“Then I’ll steal it,” Ying Wangyou declared, promptly claiming the other two ice creams for herself.

The official went to the refrigerator and retrieved fresh ice cream for both Dan Fusheng and Chen Gui. “Here, take them. If you want anything else to eat, just tell me.”

Dan Fusheng and Chen Gui accepted the treats. Ying Wangyou immediately raised her hand. “I want shrimp!”

Dan Fusheng cried, “Senior Sister!!”

The man smiled, then opened a food delivery app, allowing Ying Wangyou to choose whatever she wanted.

Dan Fusheng continued to tug at Ying Wangyou’s sleeve.

“Why are you such a coward? You’re the Demon Lord!” Ying Wangyou couldn’t comprehend it. “You’re supposed to be a chaotic demon king!”

Dan Fusheng appeared flustered. “I… I…”

Chen Gui pulled Dan Fusheng to his other side, stepping in front of him. “Don’t be so fierce with him!”

“When have I ever been fierce?!” Ying Wangyou huffed.

“Senior Sister is just straightforward, that’s all,” Dan Fusheng whispered, defending her.

Outside the office door, the onlookers collectively let out a soft “Wow.”

“The Demon Lord’s personality has changed so much?!” a cultivator, once part of the human faction, whispered.

“He used to smile even when he killed people.”

“True Monarch Yaoling’s change isn’t nearly as significant.”

“Why is a five-year-old so rigid?”

“They’re coming out! They’re coming out!”

The office door was pushed open, and the crowd automatically parted into two rows. Bai Yu led the way, with Ying Wangyou tugging at his pant leg. Dan Fusheng clutched Ying Wangyou’s clothes, and Chen Gui held onto Dan Fusheng.

As the string of children emerged, the people on both sides gasped. They didn’t know much about Ying Wangyou, but True Monarch Yaoling was holding onto the Demon Lord’s clothes!

The Demon Lord was startled by the crowd, hiding behind Ying Wangyou, while Chen Gui glared at them defensively.

“Are you going to the cafeteria for dinner?” a woman with long, wine-red hair crouched down.

“We need to get our takeout first before we go!” Ying Wangyou shielded a startled Dan Fusheng.

“I’ll show you the way.” The woman smiled, tilting her head, then looked into the darting eyes of Dan Fusheng. “Little~ Highness~”

Dan Fusheng gasped, ‘Ah!!’ Someone was calling him ‘Highness’ again! This was getting terrifying.

The woman beckoned to him. Dan Fusheng pursed his lips and stepped forward.

“I used to be one of your subordinates,” the woman chuckled, two round tiger ears appearing on top of her head.

Dan Fusheng seemed a little flustered. “Y-you, hello.”

The woman’s laughter grew louder. She pointed to herself. “Little Highness, what do you think of your former subordinate?”

“Very, very good.” Dan Fusheng’s mind went blank.

The Tiger Demoness appeared formidable, with full eyeliner, smoky eyeshadow, and bright red lips. Every movement she made was remarkably decisive and clean.

“Then shall I take you to the cafeteria?” She extended her hand to Dan Fusheng.

“You don’t need to call me ‘Your Highness,’” Dan Fusheng said, still looking a little scared, but he nevertheless took her hand.

So well-behaved! The Demon Lord was so well-behaved as a child!

Thus, the woman led Dan Fusheng to the cafeteria. Because she had touched his face with a hand covered in makeup, a faint red smudge now adorned Dan Fusheng’s cheek.

“You’re really popular, you know,” Ying Wangyou whispered to Dan Fusheng. “They all love to tease you.”

Ying Wangyou didn’t know why, but Dan Fusheng’s current state made her particularly worried. Yet, she couldn’t pinpoint what exactly she was worried about. It was as if something similar had happened before, but back then…

Why?

Ying Wangyou tried hard to recall. Why did she always feel that this child had been repeatedly frightened by someone in the past?

Then… who?

Her thoughts were interrupted.

As soon as Dan Fusheng settled into a chair in the cafeteria, a hand reached out from behind him and pressed against his back.

“Ah!” Dan Fusheng felt a sudden, sharp pain in his chest. Fortunately, the culprit was quickly pinned to the ground by the bystanders.

“What are you doing?!” the furious Tiger Demoness demanded.

“I just wanted to test if his transformation was real!” The person pinned to the ground raised both hands.

Bai Yu rushed to Dan Fusheng’s side. Blood was flowing from the boy’s mouth and nose. Bai Yu examined his body. His meridians were damaged; it wasn’t severe, but certainly not light either. “Test?! Is that how you test?!”

Dan Fusheng covered the lower half of his face. He still hadn’t understood what had happened. Upon seeing the blood on his palm, he simply asked, bewildered, “Did he want to kill me?”

He had no adult memories. He didn’t know that such a test was part of his own prior plans. He believed someone was trying to kill him because he was a demon.

The Demon Lord was, after all, a representative figure of the demon race. His former subordinates were still around, not to mention those eager to rally under his banner. If Dan Fusheng were to die, the demon race would become uncontrollable. He would revert to his adult form when near death, but he trusted that the authorities would protect him, meaning his “childhood” wouldn’t end so soon.

But the Dan Fusheng without memories couldn’t think that far. He only believed that the person wanted to kill him because he was a demon.

“He wasn’t trying to kill you!” Bai Yu quickly rummaged for medicine in his storage artifact.

The Tiger Demoness was about to question the assailant further when a sudden explosion threw both of them back. The Tiger Demoness rolled several times on the ground, while the assailant was forcefully embedded into the concrete wall.

The cafeteria’s alarm blared, and everyone looked at the culprit behind the explosion—Ying Wangyou.

Logically, Ying Wangyou had only been cultivating for a few days; she shouldn’t have been so formidable. Yet, the aura emanating from her now was terrifying. She didn’t question the attacker; she charged directly, intent on killing the person who had made a move.

“Stop her!! Quickly, stop her!”

The numerous cultivators in the cafeteria finally reacted, rushing towards the little dragon. Her cultivation wasn’t technically powerful, but her Dragon Clan bloodline was simply heaven-defying, making cross-rank combat effortless.

She transformed into her true form, nearly leveling the cafeteria.

Ultimately, it was Dan Fusheng who grabbed Ying Wangyou’s tail, halting her rampage.

“What’s wrong with her?!” the assailant, his clothes tattered, asked in terror.

Their understanding of Ying Wangyou was limited to her being the Senior Sister of the Demon Lord and True Monarch Yaoling. She seemed to have caused major incidents in the past, though none had succeeded.

Bai Yu, panting heavily, was unharmed. He had merely been running around, holding Dan Fusheng and Chen Gui to avoid injury. Later, he realized there was no need to run, as Ying Wangyou deliberately avoided his vicinity.

“Mr. Dan was raised by Ying Wangyou,” Bai Yu explained.

Ying Wangyou’s memories hadn’t returned yet, but her maternal emotions had been preserved. Dan Fusheng was the child she had raised since he was three years old, all the way to adulthood. To her, this junior brother was no different from her own child.

The originally three-meter-long red dragon grew immensely, its waist so thick that three adults would be needed to embrace it. Bai Yu’s heart nearly stopped when Dan Fusheng reached out to grab her tail. Fortunately, Dan Fusheng’s hand wasn’t scalded, and Ying Wangyou stopped.

Ying Wangyou reverted to her human form, appearing once again as a five-year-old child. She looked at the utterly disheveled state of those around her, then pouted, plopped down on the ground, and began to cry.

“Senior Sister!” Dan Fusheng struggled, and Bai Yu set him and Chen Gui down.

The two children ran to Ying Wangyou and hugged her.

Ying Wangyou continued to cry. “They’re bullying us! They’re hitting people!!” She felt truly wronged; her junior brother had been targeted for no reason and was even spitting blood. She only wanted blood for blood, but those people kept stopping her.

She cried louder and more sorrowfully. “They’re bullying Junior Brother! They’re bullying me!”

Dan Fusheng initially wanted to offer comfort, but her crying was so mournful that he was emotionally affected and began to sob as well. Senior Sister had become small, he and Junior Brother hadn’t even entered the Dao, and Master was dead.

Dan Fusheng began to cry out for Master. Ying Wangyou didn’t remember Master, but children’s emotions spread exceptionally quickly. She felt that “Master” was someone who could uphold justice for them, and she too began to wail.

Chen Gui, however, was resilient. He maintained a stern expression, though his eyes were glistening with tears.

The three children huddled together, looking utterly pitiful.

The implicated cultivators glared fiercely at the assailant.

Jade Mastiff, who had come to pick up the children, was already in a foul mood. He had just encountered Ji Wujiu, who wanted to see Dan Fusheng. With a grim face, he walked with Ji Wujiu to the cafeteria, just in time to witness this scene.

“What have you done to my children?!” the silver fox roared.

“I’ll slaughter you all!!”
