After auctioning off Sunforce’s drop items, the group was given a brief period to rest.
Aside from those who logged out to smoke, no one looked particularly happy.
It was undoubtedly because of [Blessing of the Sun], commonly known as “Sun Bless,” a doping item.
I sat on the ground, dazed and speechless.
Most of the gold I had saved up had been spent on buying Sun Bless buffs.
The thought of the piles of Sunlight Potions filling my storage left me feeling devastated.
Of course, they could still be used in regular fields as before.
But the problem lay in the future.
What if the Sun Bless buff couldn’t be used in the raids of the next season?
No, it wasn’t time to worry about future raids.
Even in the current raid, Sun Bless was rendered useless against Sunforce, the final named guardian of the boss.
The final boss of the raid wouldn’t be any different.
“I’ll go run a quick test.”
Not all raid members had returned yet.
I got up and downed a Sun Bless potion.
Immediately, a radiant solar aura began to emanate from my body.
Walking down the path, I found myself before a large altar where a giant radiating black light stood still.
[Corrupted Sun God, Solara]
To my recollection, the final boss didn’t have a pattern where it launched an attack immediately upon entry.
Upon entering, it would recite a predetermined line and then target the first person to grab its aggro with a basic attack.
But the moment I stepped alone into the boss room:
[A dreadful energy emanates from you.]
Instead of the familiar first line I remembered, it uttered something entirely different.
Solara stared at me and raised its massive hand skyward.
Suddenly, a black pillar of light descended from above.
Boom!
It was an instant-death pattern, triggered with no warning whatsoever.
My health was wiped out in an instant, activating my Immortality skill.
But the pattern didn’t stop.
Once more, a pillar of light fell from the heavens.
Boom!
Thanks to the Immortality skill, I didn’t die.
However, Solara relentlessly unleashed the pattern until I was dead, simply because I had consumed Sun Bless.
Having gathered the necessary information, I returned to where the raid members were waiting as soon as I revived.
Perhaps due to the approaching scheduled time, the absent raid members had also returned.
“It seems like the final boss also disables Sun Bless. The moment you drink it, it triggers an instant-death attack.”
“Ah…”
A sigh of frustration escaped the raid members.
They knew firsthand just how powerful this doping item was.
Now, it was no longer usable in raids.
“Sun Bless was insanely effective…”
“Should we just sell off the stock we have right now?”
“I’m selling all of mine after today’s raid. It’ll drop in value drastically in a few days once the word spreads. I can always buy it later for field use.”
Listening to their conversation, I learned that each raid member held an average of about 1,000 Sun Bless potions.
As they checked and discussed each other’s inventory, their gazes eventually turned toward me.
They were undoubtedly curious.
Just how many Sun Bless potions did I have?
The guild members likely knew.
How much I had used and stockpiled Sun Bless was almost unimaginable.
Whether fighting regular monsters, clearing dungeons where damage was already sufficient, or engaging in field battles, I consumed Sun Bless potions as naturally as breathing air.
“Raid leader, how many do you have…?”
“O…”
The sheer overwhelming quantity that came to mind made it impossible to say aloud.
During the event period, I had practically lived in dungeons, farming Sun Bless potions non-stop.
If I added up everything in my inventory and storage, I had well over 100,000 potions.
“You… you all go ahead and sell yours first. If I flood the market with mine, you won’t be able to sell any of yours…”
“Just how much do you have?”
“If we pooled all of ours together, it’d be quite a lot. Do you really have more than that?”
“Did you hoard it like a hamster stuffing its cheeks?”
The raid members began murmuring among themselves.
I avoided their gazes.
“Hey, how much have you stockpiled?”
At that moment, Harang, who had been quietly observing, approached and asked in a low voice.
I whispered back so that no one else could hear.
“About 100,000 if you count my inventory and storage…”
“Are you insane… 100,000? At the current market rate, that’s… 7,000 gold?”
The price would drop to at least half that, if not more.
I clutched my head in despair.
“Even selling them all is going to be tough…”
Indeed, selling them all would be difficult.
Unless I sold them at rock-bottom prices, there was no way to offload everything within the week.
I would have to die with them in my possession.
Even selling off the raid members’ stock would take considerable time.
But it wasn’t just the raid members.
Due to its ridiculously overpowered performance, Sun Bless was an essential potion for field battles.
The members of our alliance and guild were sure to have large stockpiles as well.
It wasn’t just us.
Other guilds, rival alliances, and other raid groups would be in the same situation.
“Ughhh…”
I let out a low groan as I sank to the floor.
I knew the price would plummet, but I couldn’t deal with it.
It felt like I was holding onto a ticking bomb.
First, I needed to help the raid members offload their stock.
I stood up abruptly and said:
“Everyone, go outside the dungeon and sell your Sun Bless stock first.”
“What about you, raid leader?”
“Me…”
What would people think if 100,000 units suddenly flooded the auction house?
I smiled silently.
Once the raid members had all left, only Harang, Helena, and I remained in the dungeon.
Watching their reactions carefully, I asked:
“Aren’t you two going to sell yours?”
“I don’t have much stock. I just buy it as I need it.”
“Same here.”
That was a relief.
When the raid members returned after offloading their stock, they looked much more relaxed.
They seemed to be checking messages confirming real-time sales of their Sun Bless potions.
“Let’s head to the final boss.”
The Young Girl’s Raid team entered the [Corrupted Sun God] raid, and everyone expected it.
On the first day, it was impossible to clear the raid.
That was to be expected. The raid leader, Yeon, could only play until 10 PM.
Once the clock hit 10, Yeon would vanish like Cinderella, so it would be impossible to progress through the raid quickly.
10 PM came.
As expected by other users, the message announcing a clear didn’t appear.
Thus, the first day of the Young Girl’s Raid team’s [Corrupted Sun God] raid ended.
[Deron Online Gallery]
[Young girl team couldn’t clear, lol] [2]
[Sun Bless stock suddenly dropped?] [6]
[Anyone selling Orc Rings…?] [1]
[I almost got brutally murdered on the bus today.] [2]
[Is there an empty spot for the final boss?]
[Anyone broadcasting Young Girl’s raid team?] [4]
[Where can I get this item?]
[Tomorrow’s to-do.txt] [2]
[Found a hilarious ID, lolololol] [1]
Everyone had expected it. Normally, the clear doesn’t happen on the first day.
So, without any major issues, the gallery’s topic smoothly transitioned to something else.
It was just another typical day.
Time passed, and it was now the early morning hours.
With office workers and students all asleep, only the dedicated ones were left active, and a post seeking players for a late-night raid appeared.
[Looking for DPS for a late-night raid while buffing with Sun Bless] [15]
Raid members’ schedules overlapped, so we won’t be able to do the main raid this week.
Rather than giving up on the raid, we’ll do a late-night raid instead.
We already have healers and tanks, as those who used to run the main raids can handle it.
We’re recruiting DPS, so if you’re interested, leave a comment or in-game message.
If we get a good composition, we’ll go for it.
Aegis <Whisper>
No archers or thieves allowed.
Warriors and barbarians must have rings.
[Comments]
[Is this a Sun Bless viral?]
[Suddenly, stock was dropped, seems suspicious]
[Won’t associate with people who don’t even carry Sun Bless]
[Why not accept archers? Are you suspicious of archers?]
[Only archery nationals or shooting nationals will be accepted]
[Can I be a warlock? I’ve farmed everything up to level 45]
[Please tell me your nickname]
[Will log in in a bit]
[How many hours will you raid?]
[Until this morning, will disband at sunrise]
[Can barbarians join? I have the ring]
[Come on in]
[If you don’t have the ring, you won’t be accepted…?]
Aegis was a well-known user who occasionally recruited for late-night raids in the gallery.
As a raid leader, Aegis was quite capable, so the late-night raid quickly got underway.
Aegis’s raid showed solid progress.
When you’ve been in the game and on the gallery for a long time, even if you don’t get close to other users, you tend to become familiar with them.
In other words, Aegis was able to recruit reliable and skilled players, filtering out the bombs.
Thanks to the overpowered performance of Sun Bless, they managed to defeat the first, second, and third named bosses.
Although there were some hiccups since it wasn’t a main raid, as long as Sun Bless was in effect, there were no major problems with progressing through the raid.
Thus, Aegis’s late-night raid team faced the final named boss, [Corrupted Divine Dragon Sunforce].
“Let’s check the buffs and go in.”
Everyone thought the raid would go smoothly again.
Then, they thought about the raid team that first attempted this.
Why hadn’t they cleared it? It seemed so easy.
Aegis shook off the distracting thoughts and readied his shield.
The moment they stepped into the named room, the dragon’s massive head soared into the sky, and its chest swelled.
Without warning, it began its breath attack.
Kaaaaaaa!
The corrupted breath poured out, instantly wiping out Aegis’s raid team.
Everyone was stunned. They couldn’t understand why.
They quickly buffed up again and attempted to enter the room.
But—
Kaaaaaaa!
The result was the same.
Total wipe.
Everyone was confused, but the attempts continued.
Once, twice, three times, four times.
By the time it reached ten attempts, Aegis let out a deep sigh.
“Is this a bug?”
It was a suspicious situation.
Other raid members nodded.
“Could this be the same bug that prevented the Young Girl’s raid team from clearing today?”
“Seems like it.”
It was a plausible guess.
Aegis nodded.
The time they had agreed on was approaching.
“I think it’s a bug. Everyone, please send in inquiries, and thanks for your efforts today. Let’s disband.”
And so, the late-night raid team disbanded, and Aegis wrote a post in the Deron Online gallery.
He intended to publicize the bug so everyone could see.
[There’s a bug in the raid right now.] [15]
(Video)
There’s a bug in the final named boss of the level 45 raid, Corrupted Sun God.
When the battle starts, it immediately uses an instant-death pattern.
You can see it in the video.
Invincibility doesn’t help, and if anyone survives after the breath attack, it will strike again.
There’s nowhere to dodge.
If this bug isn’t fixed soon, we’ll only be able to defeat three of the named bosses this week.
The raid itself was pretty straightforward, not too difficult.
Once the bug is fixed, the clear should happen right away, right?
[Comments]
[Was this raid easy?]
[Seems like it’s just a dungeon run, once the bug is fixed, it’ll be a clear]
[We haven’t seen the final boss yet.]
[It’s probably obvious, we can easily clear it anyway]
[Has the inquiry been answered yet?]
[Good job today. I’ll leave my inquiry too.]
[Are you sure it’s a bug? I heard the Young Girl’s raid team defeated the final boss.]
[They defeated it? Really?]
