Day 7 of the KR Märchen Minecraft Playground Server.
A whole week had flown by in an instant, but the amount of change in that time was immeasurable.
The first and most noticeable change was the number of players on the server.
What started as a small server of 21 players had grown past 80, and more players were pouring in, getting close to hitting the 100-player limit.
Naturally, every new player wanted to find me, and each time, I ran off to the outskirts to enjoy my peaceful life as a farmer.
At least now, I had gotten used to greeting most of them without it feeling too awkward.
Not that it made it any less exhausting.
“How much was pineapple selling for again? If the price has dropped, I should just go with corn instead.”
“Hmmm. Pineapple or corn… Pineapple or corn… This is hard.”
The past week had basically been my adaptation period on the server.
I spent most of it just exploring and experimenting, and before I knew it, time had flown by.
By Day 2, I started making money properly, and by Day 5, I had enough to buy my own land.
Of course, there was no way I could have afforded it alone.
“Should I ask Akira-senpai? Pineapple or corn?”
Since Day 2, Akira had been working overtime to pay back the gold I gave them.
On top of that, the four players Akira invited were able to join the server much faster, so they also ended up donating gold to me as thanks.
…100 gold.
I had 100 gold just handed to me by my seniors.
That was literally a one-million-won donation.
It was so overwhelming I had no idea how to spend it.
In the end, I used it to buy real estate—on the condition that we lived together.
Thankfully, the only person who actually moved in with me was Akira.
If all four of them had also moved in… Hmm. I don’t even want to imagine it.
After that, I spent my time digging, flattening land, and preparing my farm.
Of course, I built a house and even put some effort into decorating.
‘The real problem is that I spent 80 gold on real estate and 20 gold on interior design…’
It seemed like a smart investment, but in hindsight… maybe I should have used that money to invite more players instead.
“Senpai… are you on Team Pineapple… or Team Corn?”
[(Whisper) Yuwol → Akira: Senpai, are you Team Pineapple or Team Corn?]
I had typed it out while saying it out loud, which immediately made chat explode with messages calling me cute.
Next time, I’d just keep my mouth shut while typing.
[(Whisper) Yuwol → Akira: Or maybe grape or cabbage? Those could work too.]
[(Whisper) Yuwol → Akira: Personally, I like pineapples the most, but…]
“I’m just saying I like pineapples more than corn. What’s wrong with that…?”
Okay, maybe I was nudging things in that direction, but so what?
I like it.
A true Warrior has to take risks, even when the odds aren’t in their favor.
[(Whisper) Akira → Yuwol: Oh, I pick corn! I checked earlier—it was around 300? 350? Pineapple is way too much of a gamble…]
[(Whisper) Akira → Yuwol: But it’s not like I hate pineapples! I love them! They’re delicious!]
[(Whisper) Akira → Yuwol: …Wait, are you actually going to buy pineapples?]
“Hmmm. If even Akira-senpai is saying that… But still, it feels like a shame.”
[(Whisper) Yuwol → Akira: Thanks for stopping me from becoming a gambling addict.]
[(Whisper) Akira → Yuwol: Yuwol? What does that mean?]
[(Whisper) Yuwol → Akira: I’m going to buy corn.]
[(Whisper) Akira → Yuwol: …You are going to buy corn, right?]
“Alright, let’s head to the market.
I’ll buy corn seeds, and while we’re there, we can check out the prices.”
I have a good feeling about this.
It feels like corn prices are about to rise.
“Ugh. I really want to buy pineapples!”
“…I should hold back, huh?
Alright, let’s just buy corn seeds.”
The money I had left was 120,000 won.
I had earned that by grinding and farming day after day.
Of course, there had been unexpected expenses along the way—most of them spent on invitation tickets—but I had no regrets.
‘And lately, more people have been stopping by my house, haven’t they?’
There was a mailbox outside my house, which worked like a storage chest.
But whenever I came back from somewhere, I’d find ores or collectible items stuffed inside.
Thanks to that, I didn’t have to go all the way out just to get what I needed.
Good people.
Anyway, back to the main point—I took every last won I had and converted it into corn seeds.
No regrets.
Corn is stable, so since I’d already committed, I might as well play it safe.
And just as I finished that thought…
[System Announcement: Market prices have updated. 15 minutes until the next update.]
Prices had shifted.
To be honest, that was part of why I came here.
“Alright, let’s check again.
Let’s see what the right choice was.”
When I opened the farming shop, chat immediately split in two.
“Whew. I’m glad I picked corn.”
There was a bit of tension, but with corn prices going up, all the pineapple gamblers were devastated.
[(Whisper) Yuwol → Akira: Corn went up by 8 won, and pineapple completely rotted away. I’m glad I listened to you, Senpai.]
[(Whisper) Akira → Yuwol: REALLY?! WOW, THAT’S INSANE!!]
I quickly shared the good news with Akira—who was busy elsewhere—then headed to the plaza to brag to everyone.
[Baekdoolgi: Ah, f*. Pineapple was such bulls***.]**
[Chupa: LMAOOOO]
[Baekdoolgi: Screw it, I’m just gonna go be a miner instead.]
[Baekdoolgi: Farming is seriously not for me.]
[Eliayne: 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I lost everything too…]
[Imari: I saw Yuwol walking around the plaza bragging about buying corn, LOL.]
[Yutongman: Wait, aren’t you a Plant Mage, Eliayne?]
[Eliayne: 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭]
Unfortunately, some people missed their chance.
But hey, that’s not my problem.
The Warrior has nothing to worry about.
