Normally, in the first pattern, the reason you’re supposed to take down the knights before attacking Tagirion is because if the dealers get aggro from Tagirion, the formation breaks down.

But the reverse is true, if the formation doesn’t break, you can hit Tagirion as much as you want without any problem.

So, if you look at what they’re doing, everyone else is attacking the knights, while the main tank and another person are switching aggro between themselves while dealing damage.

They deal with Tagirion that way, and once the knights are taken down, it seems like the pattern gets skipped based on the remaining HP.

After that, they just continue switching aggro between the main tank and the other person while dealing damage.
