The Incident of Market Price Manipulation in the Farming Shop
A small group of farmers, seeking revenge on the chefs, initiated the Farmer’s Rebellion.
Though some nearby streamers were affected, they all managed to laugh it off as part of the content. Whether they truly laughed, or just pretended to, no one really knew.
From what I heard, they clipped the incident and broadcasted it on other channels while catching the culprits. Among those culprits, it was shocking to find that one of them was Yutong Man.
He was a big YouTuber who had joined from the very first day of the server, and sometimes when we met in the square, we’d exchange greetings…
So this is what it feels like to be betrayed by someone you trusted (or didn’t). I felt a little dazed as I looked around.
As one of the victims of this incident, I no longer cared about the manipulation scandal. Well, not that I didn’t care—it was just that my focus had shifted to something else.
“Is it really that hard to find the hidden job?”
Hehe.
Hehe.
“Hmm… I guess I can’t just ask the admin team, right?”
I hadn’t been interested in hidden jobs until recently, when Märchen Playground entered its fourth season.
Among the newly added hidden jobs, one of them was the Warrior.
Since Yuwol’s RP also was of a warrior, the hidden job being a warrior made it seem somewhat fitting, which is why I started to pay attention.
But hidden jobs—what are they, really? They are supposed to be hidden, after all.
The name may only be listed as “Warrior,” but I needed to know how to obtain it, where to go, and what the prerequisites were.
At this moment, I was about to ask the admin team for help, but—
[(Whisper) Tsupi > Yuwol: ^^…]
Naturally, they weren’t going to give me any answers.
‘I just wish they’d at least give me a hint…’
It was both fortunate and nerve-wracking that no one had obtained the hidden Warrior job yet.
“I hope no one gets it first.”
-20
“Shall we? I’m sure watching me farm would get boring for you all anyway.”
Good!
Most of my viewers wanted to find the hidden job as well. So, as a streamer and VTuber, I felt that I should give them what they wanted.
I left the field and quickly gathered what I needed before heading out.
If Akira had been at the house, I would have shouted to go together, but fortunately, Akira was busy running dungeons at the moment.
This time, Akira was trying to make up for the losses caused by the price manipulation.
But I still didn’t understand why Akira was the one trying to fix it.
Anyway, I had set off on this adventure alone, but I hit a major obstacle shortly after leaving the house.
“…Where am I supposed to go?”
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Alright… yeah, fine. This one was on me. I had to admit it.
I exited the real estate map and arrived at the plaza, where a huge crowd of people had gathered.
Watching them casually chatting with each other, I couldn’t help but be amazed. There was no way I could do that.
Oh, by the way, Märchen Playground was now entering its third week, and the player count was approaching 250. Seeing people constantly logging in live was… hard to put into words.
After briefly observing the crowd, I quickly made my way across the plaza and arrived at the Free Map Portal.
Without hesitation, I threw myself through the portal.
The only other time I had visited the Free Map was back when the server first opened.
These days, all I did was farm, check market prices, farm again, and check market prices again.
The rest of my time was spent chatting with familiar faces.
Seeing the wilderness again after so long felt both unfamiliar and nostalgic.
‘Ah, right. I almost starved to death here once.’
If it weren’t for Märchen Bread, I would’ve been doomed. That was a terrifying memory.
Shaking off those thoughts, I started running aimlessly.
I figured that if I kept running, something would eventually appear.
Meanwhile, in the chat, countless theories were being tossed around.
“…The Nether?”
One particular comment caught my eye.
The Nether.
It was a dimension that existed even in standard Minecraft. I knew of its existence, but I’d never actually been there.
I mean, what was I supposed to do there? It’s not like I could farm in the Nether.
But now, the situation was different.
Who does a Warrior usually fight?
Nine times out of ten, it would be a Demon King. And where do Demon Kings usually reside?
The Demon Realm.
Or Hell.
‘All that VTuber concept studying is finally paying off…‘
Because of costume design, I had no choice but to research different concepts. Now, that knowledge was coming in handy.
Not that I had studied for this reason, though.
I felt a bit of an existential crisis coming on, but now wasn’t the time to dwell on that.
This was a lead.
If I went to the Nether, I might find something.
Something related to the Warrior.
And more than anything—this was Yuwol’s intuition.
I believed in myself.
“We’re going to the Nether. I have a feeling there’s something there.”
“…Let’s gear up first.”
Dying before I even got started would be pathetic.
Better to be properly prepared before heading in.
“Wow… So this is the Nether?”
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Newbie alert!
In Minecraft, all I had ever seen was a bright blue sky and green fields.
But this place—the Nether—fit its name perfectly.
Everything was red, and it gave me a bad feeling.
Not to mention the creepy zombie-like monsters and the floating marshmallow things.
They all looked unsettling, making me even more uncomfortable.
“I don’t want to stay here for long. I want to get out as soon as possible.”
I quickly left my spot and started running around the Nether, searching every corner.
Since other players had already been here before me, there were clear trails left behind, so I didn’t get lost.
Thanks to that, I was able to reach a Nether structure pretty quickly.
‘The structure itself… doesn’t seem all that special.’
I searched through the ruins, checking all the chests—even the ones that had already been looted.
Of course, there was nothing left.
Which meant I had no more business in the Nether.
I had hoped to find something related to the Warrior class, but it seemed like this was a dead end.
Feeling disappointed, I slumped down in defeat.
As always, my viewers panicked and tried to comfort me.
“This is strange… My intuition pointed me toward the Nether.”
For the first time in a while, my gut feeling was off.
Maybe it was because this was just a game?
I took a short break inside one of the pillars of the structure.
I could just return home now, but since I had already come all this way, I figured I should look around a little longer.
Maybe gather some quartz while I was at it— oh.
“…Huh?”
Inside the pillar of the structure, there was a spiral staircase leading upward.
But that wasn’t what caught my attention.
What mattered was below the staircase—tucked away in the furthest corner.
There was a single block that was a slightly different color from the rest of the structure.
It was the same black-and-brown shade, so at first glance, it blended right in.
“This one… doesn’t the color look a bit different?”
That’s right.
If I hadn’t stopped here for a break, I would have missed it, just like the other players.
I placed my hands back on my mouse and keyboard, then mined the odd-colored block.
Inside… was a chest.
And inside that chest… was a single note.
<Nether X Coordinate -1322>
“…There were two more pillars, right?”
It was a note that pointed to a location.
As soon as I read it, I couldn’t help but laugh.
Without hesitation, I sprinted toward the other two pillars.
Just like the first, each of them had a hidden note underneath.
Following the order of the notes, I marked the X, Y, and Z coordinates on my mini-map.
The location was quite far from where I currently was.
It would take at least 30 minutes of running to reach it.
But if this really was a hidden class, then that amount of time was nothing.
Without wasting another second, I started running toward the marked coordinates.
By the time I arrived, it had taken far longer than expected.
I thought it would take 30 minutes—but it actually took an hour.
There were no proper paths, so I had to build a bridge myself using dirt and stone.
Just in case, I had also drank a Fire Resistance Potion to prevent any accidents.
And finally—
At the location given by the coordinates stood a massive black castle.
A truly enormous structure…
“Let’s go inside.”
“No. A warrior never backs down.
And in my cover of ‘Warrior Yuwol,’ I laughed instead of running away—even in the face of death.”
Just like I had said, I was grinning at that moment.
It was a bright and fearless smile, just like in the song.
Just in case, I placed a bed in front of the Demon King’s Castle and set my respawn point.
Ignoring my worried viewers, I stepped inside the castle.
— [Kain: So, this is the Demon King’s Castle…]
A full-fledged classic RPG storyline started playing.
What the hell…?
The story was familiar, yet it was thrilling to read.
I ended up spending 20 minutes just watching the plot unfold.
The protagonist, Kain, had slain the Demon King…
But then, he was betrayed by his own party members.
Wait—why would a Warrior get betrayed?!
It was like some ridiculous tragic backstory, but it was so absurd that I couldn’t help but laugh.
Anyway—Kain, who had been betrayed, did something insane.
He ate the Demon King’s corpse.
…Why?
I had no idea.
He just kept mumbling about revenge, and then suddenly started absorbing the body.
And then—300 years later.
Kain had become the new ruler of the Demon King’s Castle.
— [The Primordial Warrior Turned Demon King (Kain): ■]
It was now my turn to set him free.
“If this wasn’t just a game…”
“It doesn’t really feel like someone else’s story.”
A girl who waited for a Warrior but ended up becoming one herself.
And Kain, who waited but was betrayed and became a Demon King instead.
Neither of them were ever truly rewarded by the world.
But then, why was I even saying this out loud right now?
“I should use this as the preview clip.”
Gotta create content for YouTube.
I guess I really have become a full-fledged streamer now.
“Let’s finish this quickly and go home.”
Because unlike Kain, I still had friends by my side.
Not just a few—but thirty thousand friends…
‘Wait, when did so many people gather?!’
It seemed like news of me finding the hidden class had spread, and people had flocked in from everywhere.
I was slightly overwhelmed by the sudden viewer count spike—but only for a moment.
“This time, I’ll survive.”
Embarrassment could come later.
Right now, this was the perfect moment to stay in character.
“For the peace of the world!”
I was already preparing myself for the secondhand embarrassment I’d feel later.
But of course, the viewers had no idea about that.
For them, this was pure dopamine overload.
It was a continuation of the thrill they had felt from my ‘Warrior Yuwol’ MV.
